They contribute to immersion in this RPG. Just summon an NPC to do everything on the spot is breaking that immersion. What's next? The Banker Assistant being able to do Guild Trader Business? Better not give you any ideas.
I do like QoL implementation but only if it makes the game better. This trend that started with Pirharri not taking a fee comes full circle with the new Assistant. This is too much, in my opinion. The world needs to feel alive. Being able to do almost everything on the spot is just boring. I want to get out there and visit places, not just stand around, summon several assistants and be done.
At least implement a fee on this new assistant (and preferably on Pirharri again). People that don't like the Refuges for their business can still use them for all their services. They probalby won't mind the little fee they take for their services. These players want the concenience, they can spare a few coins. Let us other players who actually want to immerse in the world go to the Outlaw Refuges and don't let this feature be forgotten because there is a jack-of-all (criminal) trades NPC that does everything for you.

You still have other reasons to go to Outlaws Refuges.
- Remains-Silent, the Dark Brotherhood Shadowy Supplier.
- Achievement furnishings.
- some story quests, mostly in Hew's Bane and Daggerfall but some others too.
- Hew's Bane and Daggerfall refuges have the daily heists.
- Necrom Outlaws Refuge is useful for its entrance to the Necrom Underways to farm urns.
- Overland Fences can get rid of your bounty, Assistants cannot.
anyways i love not needing to go through a loading screen to Launder pickpocketed furnishings. Cannot wait for July 8.
I know I am probably in the minority with not liking that new assistant because it is just so convenient for players to do everything in an instant but to me that is just taking away RPG flavor.
The solution is as simple as suggested many times before: Instead of listing different looking assistants they should switch to skins for them.YffresTrill wrote: »I like the idea of the new assistant but the implementation (neon-coloured talking rooster in a cowboy hat?) is so ludicrous that I have zero interest.
If they really wanted to sell this battlepass thing, they might want to consider having multiple variations of the biggest draw. Not just the ridiculous rooster but also some random humanoid in Thieves Guild armour? That would have made me want to buy it.
I would be fine with that if you get to select which you get by default. I would not like to buy this rooster then pay again to make it look like someone else. The solution is as simple as suggested many times before: Instead of listing different looking assistants they should switch to skins for them.
For many years I‘d like to have another vendor assistant but I‘m absolutely not willing to pay another 5k crowns for the visuals of an assistant that does exactly what my current assistant already does.
Please, stop adding weapons with cool sound effects if you plan to remove those sounds later! Prior Thierric style got the sound greatly silenced after few years of being sold with loud sound effect; Whispers of Sithis weapons are bugged again this update, they lost some of their unique sounds again; Akatosh vs Alduin both weapon styles had their cool sounds removed and were never fixed as far as I know... This is depressing and shocking
