Which Night Market Faction will you join first?

    The Thousand Eyes
The Eyes seem more interesting at first glance than the meatheads and the moneygrabbers. I don't even know if it's the Maormer or the daedrat that's in charge of the group, but I'm curious to see what both of them are like. If there's an option to use 3 characters and join all of the factions then I'll just do that.

Just like the Alliance War factions, the Night Market factions are color-coded.

    Ruckus: Red
    Eyes: Blue
    Glittering: Yellow

Your choice of order for the poll options was a bit unfortunate. :D

Judging by the poll results, I guess we know which team will win this first time. Then the second and third time if people reliably swap to the second and third most popular faction on the subsequent Night Market iterations.

Waiting to see more about how it works. If the rewards/items available by faction are different then it depends on the rewards/items, not the lore.

I do see the risk that participation in the different factions might get skewed because, honestly, the golden faction has the best rewards.

If you look at this furniture list on UESP, for example:
    https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Online:Night's_Den
The green and the red faction only get furnishings that are also obtainable in game by other means (many of them are even craftable), while the golden faction gets 12 different Maormer carpets that have only been available through a crown store furniture pack so far. Also, apart from book piles, the green faction gets mostly literal trash: bins, cargo crates, random animal bones.

Also, I guess many people will choose according to the faction rooms available for the house (I read that it's possible to obtain them regardless of the group one joined? But how many people know that?). If the golden faction gets a nice room with golden floor tiles, the red faction at least some basic, but more simple room, and the green faction a vermin den full of rubble, what would most people choose? You can view screenshots of the rooms here:

    Hmmm not sure...

I fit most with Thousand Eyes...but I am looking at the armor sets..

(1 item) Adds 657 Critical Chance
(2 items) Dealing direct critical damage applies Shived to the enemy, dealing 1079 Bleed damage and increasing their damage taken from you by 2% for 15 seconds. This damage scales off the higher of your Weapon or Spell Damage. When the enemy dies, Shived is reapplied to the lowest health enemy within 12 meters of the corpse and increases the damage taken by 2%, up to 8%. You may only have 1 enemy with Shived.

Does that mean over 15 seconds, my damage increases up to 30%?

i also dont fully understand how it works...the way i would read that is that the damage bonus jumps from target to target after its death and the max bonus is 8%?

Yeah I noticed in the PTS that Thousand Eyes had like twice as many points as the other factions a few days before it closed, and it kinda made me sad as I figured it would be the most popular, due to the quirks and 'kreeture' theme it has. It's the quirky faction.
    Hoping for more playable races.

I just want werewolf to be viable in endgame PvE T.T (which not allowed according to PTS update 50)

Keep in mind that people testing on the pts are probably more inclined to join a faction who has knowledge and secrets as one of it's core values. Similarly, forum users are also more inclined to seek out and engage in information. I think on live the population will be a lot closer. I know a friend and I joked that the Ruckus would probably have a lot of furry appeal on live and most of the furries I know do not pts test at all/avoid spoilers like the plague. I think other factions will catch up so I wouldn't worry until we see how week one pans out in game. I still think for now it's anybody's game.

Unfortunately it seems you only earn the monster set of the faction you join so will depend on the relative strengths of those sets.

Glittering Goad looks like it could be marginally better as a non ice staff way of applying aoe brittle

Ah, yes, this is the faction I was thinking of joining, whatever the name is who cares. Looks like a good set for trash with tougher enemies in the mix. Like in MoL trash pack bosses.

This is how I understood it: If you have multiple enemies, the first enemy you critically damage gets shived, 2% extra damage. When that enemy dies, the lowest health enemy within 12 metres gets the shived (2%) + 2% extra = 4%. When that dies, the next one gets the shived (now 4%) + 2% = 6%. And after that dies, it's shived 6% + 2% = 8% which is maximum and if there are more enemies, they just get the shived 8%. So it's a stacking damage increase up to 8%, only from you, and takes 4 enemies to reach full stacks.

From the three things that matter in those factions (ie, the monster sets) this looks situationally useful. Multiple tough ads and this might be something.

The other interesting was the heavy attack/bash that does damage and minor brittle. Could be interesting in heavy attack builds and possibly for a tank. If it's a guaranteed minor brittle when you bash a boss, it would be one good source for it.

But I haven't tried them on PTS so I don't know for sure. Just reading the descriptions.

I'm still confused with it. How can we access the Night Market? I googled it but only found out about one portal inf Fargrave. But I don't have access to that zone. Is there a portal somewhere else?

Someone already said it opens on 29th, but I think I saw a screenshot where it is (haven't tried on PTS because I always want to go into new content blind) near The Shambles wayshrine in Fargrave. Like 50 metres south west from the wayshrine.

I just realized that only Glittering Goad (apparently??) gets a special merchant NPC with mythic fragments and rare furnishing blueprints for sale?

Soooooooooooooooo Definitely sticking with my original vote, though for different reasons. While I like the monster set from the thousand eyes, I like money more. Like, a LOT more.

My main is an arcanist whose ethos is to explore everywhere he can access in search of knowledge and experiences, so Thousand Eyes is the closest fit. The dye is also probably the most useful to me. I don't vibe with the swarming vermin part, but brute force and money hungry don't really appeal either.

Sorry if this question has been answered before.

The end stage of the Night Market is the 12 player trial instance, which also has a no death achievement with a title associated with it. Do all 12 players need to be in the same faction for the trial/group? I am trying to put together a roster in my guild to go for this but I am wondering if we need to coordinate all 12 players to be in the same faction or not.

So the furnishing boxes people were talking about are the achievement rewards... those also aren't bound by your faction. Unfortunate naming, perhaps because of the theming of the room unlock (implication being that you unlock the room and put these furnishings in there). You can get the Maormer carpets as any faction, you just need to get the relic from Sorrow's Friend, one of the 4 zones.

I think it's confusing because we're talking about it. If you read the achievements directly, especially after stepping foot into Night Market, I don't think it's as confusing as it seems. The achievements in question are the top 3 after you open the Night Market section.
