Honestly, a really great suggestion. I think the players who paid for the game for how the game was back in the day should be able to enjoy it and not forced to play the game, especially when it's in a state that just burns you out.

Community might not be large enough for being devided, but it should not be up to those players to decide who want everyone to play what they prefer.

I love subclassing it makes combat/healing/tanking more fun imo.
We earned our cp so it's like a badge of honour to me.
I feel like account wide achievements are irelevant tbh since now you can be any role on one character and subclassing has made this easier. In a guild i was in many players were opting for doing it all on one character and not playing on their alts anymore.

I want eso to revive and thrive and changing all it's systems wont do that. It's the future content that will determin this game's longevity. Too many changes too soon will only push players to other games.

We've had hybridysation, scribing, skill styles, subclassing, game pass and a huge community event (ww). I feel personally that there were too many changes close together before players had a chance to embrace them....so many players were overwhelmed and quit the game.

Just make it a benefit of being subbed to ESO+, Would love to just go back and play base ESO... some of the modern updates or classes just really aren't it for me.

I've actually only just stared mixing it up with subclassing. I am enjoying it however i feel it takes away the uniqueness of each class. Its fun, but not necessary. I feel its also opening a whole new meta when im researching builds, everything seems to be a subclass build.
Scribing, i havent even touched. And i feel i can still enjoy the game just as it is without it.
Achievements i enjoy. Its something to work towards. Im more of a solo casual player now so its nice to chill and complete zones. Working on achievements.

About a third of players would be interested in an ESO Classic. That's huge (not counting all those who have already left because the game has changed too much for them).

This was just a preliminary discussion, which opens (or not) the field of more or less distant future possibilities.

ESO player numbers on steam went from 3,000 to nearly 10,000 with the release of One Tamriel

I would play eso classic just for the combat alone. Heck, I would even taken pre or post Summerset launch combat back.

The combat was always my primary reason to play eso, now it's just become an accessory with how much it has 'changed". Don't feel any of the magic or hype for launches as I did back then.
