Fake tanks And healers, vet dlc. Please no.

They queue random vet, get a dlc, then everyone's night is ruined.

I wait as dps 20 minutes for the queue to pop, then the dlc takes another hour with wipes, what should take 10 minutes. Without tank buffs every boss takes 3x as long. Normally im doing 40% dmg, now im only doing 25%. We have another dps, but the boss kill takes twice as long.

Im running for my life and popping vigor the whole fight. Not worth even trying to initiate a boot. i just quit now, because i dont want to support that bs.

There needs to be a plugin to report fake tanks that uploads to a server like libharvest does with node locations, so the a holes can be shamed off the server.

if you could have just done what it asked for on the label and tanked, that would have been better all-round maybe we even would not have been hit with update 46 in the end, besides none of the fake old stuff matters anymore there is update 46 for you to contend with now

This. And fake DPS. Took 2 DPS 3 mins to clear adds during the Jerensi fight yesterday in Veteran Exiled Redoubt and keep wiping because they tried to dodge Axe Jump mech. And group wipe during spider bots thingy fight at Vandorellan because they "can't see the storm spear aoes" and stood in it.

no such thing as fake dps, you could have easily took a second to type what is going on, but because the rambo's of normal dungeons dont let anyone charge thier own roles same for most vet non dlc explaining became second nature in vet dlc's, luckily update 46 was the best excuse to step out ever given, albiet i do admit the actual random vet queue groups were infact just simply turning nasty too, especially for solo queuers being pulled into premade groups. fully expecting to hear a transmute crystal story next. but its like most things in games pressure groups always need to find a way to get ontop. not sure whats worse the magic wand of change thats always was thrown around by devs or the fact very few realized through good or bad in the end its better to stick to the role you joined with

Reporting goes a bit too far in my opinion, this leaves room for griefing when someone is just bad at their role.

But fake roles/speedrunners is a major gamebreaking problem ZOS needs to fix ASAP, they do not see how harmful it is to the entire game and it's playerbase! Even in the 5 bugs/issues pinned thread they seem to ignore all feedback about this issue.

Fake role'ing and speedrunning should be made impossible by in-game means.

came to the sad realization that was never going to happen a while back, even requests to seperate random vet and normal dlc queues from non dlc ones went unnoticed even though it was just to lighten the loads

actually its quite the opposite, and also i cannot remember other than the middle of the night a dps queue took more than 5 to 10 minutes. and even on the occasion they dont a stay my real role, only to be met with a dd in dressup as a healer in the toughest dlcs's

Him(OP) sitting out the queue makes him a victim, not the problem. The problem is players skipping the line when they should not be able to! OP has already demonstrated they were willing to sit out the 20 min queue, only to be a victim of someone else skipping the line. Causing a bad experience for the OP or another 20 min queue.

This(fake role/speedrunner) should just simply not be possible to do! Stop making excuses for these types of players, they do not care about the community or other player's time at all. And should not be playing an MMO.

As others have said, you could always slot a taunt and basically nothing outside of recently released vet dlc dungeons can really kill you if you block the heavy attack, and losing a tank for a dps in pug runs should gain you dps theoretically bcs most pug tanks don’t even wear the right sets to give you the buffs your after

And it’s only possible bcs of the class system of everyone can be everything we have in eso, want fake tanks gone? Fix the class design

slip your own taunts from now on, my final decision is to completely stop tanking vet dlc and normal dlc while weighing up the odds when a queue struck for my dd's that was non dlc just how ridiculous it would be before deciding to stay or leave at the start. even in vet dlc dungeons a tanks equipment can be overlooked if they are actually tanking whch is not usually hard to tell if they are and healer is a real one

I guess you could make a healer dps hybrid then and enjoy higher group dps and a faster queue.

Unfortunately I don’t think there’s much that can realistically be done about people doing fake roles except to do the role yourself or have a friend do the role.

See only in mmo you can be a healer and save the day. To imagine that someone day brightens when I am doing some hard work keeping ppl alive is truly why mmos are worth the hassle

Quite nothing like only you being able to stop certain death and almost feeling the relief of players as their health bars fill from low to full

I guess you could make a healer dps hybrid then and enjoy higher group dps and a faster queue.

Unfortunately I don’t think there’s much that can realistically be done about people doing fake roles except to do the role yourself or have a friend do the role.

there is actually, update 46 which gives them solid ground to walk on finally, did i not mention i aways used to stay my role, tank healer or dd ? also i think the stop making excuses has already been thrown in here. i have done enough randoms in all roles to see enough dragging into same groups once leaving them to know what i am talking about. for me even blocking means devs try even harder to make sure you end up with same players. and when some did enntually come around to playing properly and started clearing the vet dlc's easily around 400+ cp people got scared and had to move the goal posts again especially with hm's also in firing line. why some poeple like to believe while the fake role movement was in full swing the rest of the random vet dungeon lovers went to sleep i'll never know though. it was only update 46 that nailed the coffin for me, the rest was tolerable or groups leavable knowing something more realistic ahead

At least if the tank is fake, I have fair justification for leaving the group as a dps. Though I'll give a group like that a chance to see if we have the dps to burn through it.

But when I queue in as a real tank and get very low dps players, it can be a long, painful prog with no ethical way out. Like last week I was in a vet maz group in which the rest of the group contributed a total of 21k dps... it was a prog.

then dont join them if you cannot take the good with the learning not come on forum to try shame the others in your group when most exp players know better facts, you as a single player in a group would simply mean nothing to me in the past and the option for me to change chars and roles would be given to the group if someone left and ask for back up if absolutely needed from my now dwindled down update 46 friend list, plenty of times the one who knows best and left because the group was apparently so bad with thier departure groups i was in went onto easy clears. now though im just past giving groups the benefit of the doubt in eso, but thankyou to all who tolerated my learning tactics in vet dungeons over the years too and taught me stuff for my roles in a polite way even though i did spend years doing normal first though and got there in the end, just wish i could have gone on to get those hm and vet clears with alot more random players from random dungeons, but haha yeah the though of no more fake rolers or pressure groups in my way anymore is kind of liberating thought

I used to tank vet dungeons, and used to enjoy it until some 'elite' player starting abusing me for not doing enough DPS ... even though I was the tank, now I only run normal dungeons.

Essentially ...

Tank = Tanks.
Healer = Heals
DPS = Damages

Its that simple.

Just to clarify, you mean your DPS is normally 40k and with the fake tank it's only 25k?

Because if you are a DPS and there's only two of you, tank and healer do maybe 2% of the damage themselves and your damage should be 48% to be on the same level as the other dd. If there's 4 DDs in the group, your damage should be 25%. In a trial group with 8 DDs your damage should average to something like 12.5%.

So I am guessing you mean 40k and 25k instead of 40% and 25%.

Block bad players in general, sadly the ignore list is tiny and it doesn't prevent you from match making with them again in the future. At least you can make creative notes for the LOL's, "doesn't know how to break free and stands in stupid, smoothest of the smooth, droop shoulders, 10% of the group dps, can't figure out what a taunt is".

Making players you have blocked not match make would be the greatest QOL addition of the games lifetime to me. Most other MMOs did it and still had a functional matchmaking, surely a AAA company can do it with this much money and talent pool.

I doubt subclassing is going to fix fake tanking. The kinds of people who fake aren't building for it by definition. Even if that means just slotting taunt on your dps.

I run Untauned addon on my dps as well as tanks with the setting to see others taunts toggled. Then I at least know something is taunted and they're just bad at tanking, not fake as such.
