Hey everyone

So, i kindly ask you for some help, maybe ill get lucky here

I really love collecting furnishing items in ESO and im almost done with my collection, im just missing 2 blue plants. Does anyone of you, by chance, has one of the following 2 items laying around in your chests or house and would be willing to sell and help me out?

-Mushrooms, Buttercake Stack
-Mushroom, Buttercake

Edit: I started a server-wide hunt on PC-EU for those. The first one who can provide me either of the 2 mushrooms will receive 1M gold!

The buttercake stack only came with the furnished version of the ald velothi harbour house and is bound therefore. Not to confuse with the buttercake cluster which came with the unfurnished house tho

That would really help me a ton, please let me know if you might have any of these!

Some furnishings that appear 'crown store only' have 'unbound' versions included in some furnished homes.

I'm not sure if this is the case with 'crown store only' houses; the only examples I have seen are with houses that have an unfurnished version that can be acquired with either gold or crowns and a furnished version that can be acquired with crowns only.

For instance the house OP is referring to (Ald Velothi Harbour House).

The reason why you see no trades is because this is an incredibly 'niche' market (people trading on unbound versions of otherwise crown store exclusive furnishings).

Demand is low and supply even lower.

In a quick search I've found the Stack version can be obtained, albeit rarely, by harvesting Clothing nodes in Vvardenfell. But the Stack version — which I suppose is the other one you've listed, despite not having the “stack” word — seems to be a House Editor Exclusive or, perhaps, available in one of the Bundles that shows up from time to time.

This would be true if the houses you have in your example could be purchased with gold; alas they cannot. Houses purchased via crowns have all the furnishings inside them bound to the account. That would mean that Tel Galen, which has never been available via gold, can never have those mushrooms removed from the account that purchased it. While Ald Velothi Harbor House can be purchased with Gold, that version is Unfurnished and so will not have the item they seek.

So yes, the correct answer is Mushroom, Buttercake is a crown exclusive item as of this time and I know of no other way to obtain it.

Mushroom, Buttercake Stack can be very rarely obtained from Alchemy Nodes in Vvardenfell; but to be honest the drop rate is absolutely abysmal. I have yet to meet a single player personally that has ever acquired this item through this method but I know it's possible because some players I've met in the housing community have bought the unbound one. I'll warn you would likely be better off acquiring it through Crown Trading than buying the unbound version. It'll be much cheaper that way.

Also not fully true, furnishings from furnished houses are always (with very few exceptions in the past) bound as furnished houses can only be bought with crowns = bound items. Those 2 mushrooms do drop in normal gameplay and i thought i would give it a shot and try asking if anyone got any of these =D

I've gotten a ton of these plants myself but only 1 blue so far. I know a friend of @Wolfkeks got one of the plants im seeking but seems like hes been offline for months now

And iirc, the "Buttercake" was part of the loot table some events ago, when mushroom-waves flooded my inventory. I'll check, if that are the right ones and if they are bound or not, when servers are clean again.

regardless of whether or not they are bound when someone buys the house... you will have a far easier time buying them for 25 crowns each or finding a crown seller to get them for you. just use the housing editor menu. go into a house and it's there in the settings. if you are having someone gift them to you, you'll need to be inside one of their homes. far easier than purchasing the furnished versions of the houses.

Also if i wouldnt care if the mushrooms are bound or not, i wouldve bought them long ago. But as for collection purposes, unfortunally i cant do anything with the bound version of those.

all you need is 50 crowns or someone willing to sell you 50 crowns. go to your house (or your seller will need to go to their house). open the housing menu and hit R. click on the "purchase" tab. type in "buttercake." purchase (or seller will need to hit F to gift).

He’s a collector, the unbound variant is likely what he’s after, and not simply the decoration itself.

Which is weird that he’s saying he wouldn’t mind it bound or not but then also saying he can’t do anything with the bound variant as he’s a collector… contradictory.

More or less seems like he’s nonchalantly out for a goodwill donation, or possibly downplaying desire in order to swindle someone.

i'm leaning towards the last thing you said. i collect things too. if they are bound to me, that doesn't affect that. i have the furnished versions of both of those houses, so i'm sure i have these things, but there's no way i would sell them... because then i won't have them lol

The stack has a verified check mark on UESP that at some point it also dropped from alchemy and clothing nodes. I've never seen them but someone over there has.

you dont understand, but i can understand that you dont. ever heard of so called rare drops? those are the last 2 ones missing so i wont get them bound, why would i?

when you buy with crowns, they are bound, as i showed above. you can buy ald velothi for gold unfurnished and those will be unbound, but the ones they are wanting aren't in the unfurnished version.
