    Screw AOE caps. I want to see player hitbox collision detection.

    Both will lag the servers. One will allow ten guys with shields to block a doorway, the other will allow players to use more AOE. I like the 10 guys with shields options.

    Finally someone agrees with me that collision dection is the solution.

    Note, that Warhammer Online shows one problem of collision detection in pvp. The collision detection produced massive server lag in large scaled fights.

    Generally is the idea of collision detection realy good, but i think for massive pvp situations we need next generation servers to handle this.

    Their servers cannot handle even the present large-scale fights. Huge armies clashes with collision detection on woill just send their servers to neverending reboot-rollback loop.

    Edit - Why is everyone running around with groups of 24...That's the other problem as well.
    I miss the old days of MMOs where 4-8 player groups running round PvP.

    .... Wait AoE caps there's no down side of having more and caps actually encourage it. Stupid stupid Zenimax.

    This is not possible with the curent prediction algorithm they use for compensating for the latency. Try this test: run around grouped with a friend, both record the events then compare the video's, they will be quite different regarding players positioning/movement/etc.

    Its very unfortunate since im a big fan of colision detection myself but it will never happen :(

    EDIT: the pve colision detection is a joke...only there to anoy the hell out of people (like npc blocking entrances/pushing players on horse while casualy walking, etc.). They took a good idea and made a total mess out of it.

    Collision detection in Warhammer Online was awesome. It's one of the few things that made that game special. It's probably the only game where tanks actually had a role in PvP. Shield Wall FTW!

    But yeah, since ESO servers can't even take the current load, i doubt they would be able to take CD too. And anyway, those hopes were destroyed in the beginning when the devs specifically stated there would be no collision detection.

    Reducing the group number to about 10 ( less would be better ) would in fact stop this turtling tactic, I've always felt 24 is just too big. Add a healing change which is group only (unless everyone is full hp) so it's harder to keep ppl alive outside the group then turtling might stop.
    Patch 1.2.3 nerfed the game....
    Zergballing wrecked pvp......

    Now waiting for Camelot Unchained!!

    Sadly we all knew this was coming with the AoE cap. Any MMO with an AoE cap in large scale PvP devolves into nothing more than stacking cheats.

    Because apparently, AoE is best countered by standing on top of eachother, which makes TOTAL SENSE. Not.

    Didn't take long after people found out AoE had caps. Good thing Zenimax made a subscription based Guild Wars 2 without structured PvP, should work out really well.

    Fixed.

    Honestly just hope they finish the imperial city soon so real PvP can be added.

    I think I saw max 1 out of every 200 use Backlash or any of the 15-30 spells that are OP enough to wipe out any Vampire.
    (And Emperors, even Vampire DK Emperors goddamnit ppl T-H-I-N-K)


    Turtle?Not as easy, BUT If u got a guild. Then Just grab a notepad & read this to your guild during next fight against blob tactics.

    Here's the skills used to counter, you figure out who uses what. And when.

    Volcanic Rune, DK Grab, Atronach for AoE stun,
    that fear from Sorc skill line. Just to name a few.
    Enemy got too much HP?
    have a few Pulsars In group soon their max HP will be low enough for a Crit to 1 shot them.

    ever heard of Negate magica? cause u pop that and send ur DK in with Talons & SoM and then have other sorc pop Atronach? Bee Oh B00M their all dead.

    btw, took me around.. well, think It took me 1-2 min to type that all in.
    And I got that strategy worked up In less than 10 seconds as I was typing. Seriously ppl. You got a brain.

    And Robbie will pop up from behind the enemy with backlash with his NB sneaks
    and nuke It down almost b4 Backlash procs and kills the guy then Robert & Finch will come and use Talons & Pulsar on the guys that got feared. If there's more alive afterwards Carlos has His Sorc ultimate up and AoE stuns them all on same time as Robert & Finch pop SoM.

    ^All names were randomly generated In my head for the sake of showing u how a old Elite guild could know b4 what they will do. They have been playing together for 15 *** years. They know each other better than their Kids & wifes.

    Pulsar stacks? I heard that it used to in beta but it was fixed. Have you actually seen it stack recently?

    Attention Zenimax: Stamina builds don't hold up to magicka builds, and this is causing most of your class imbalance. It makes melee weapons and bows weaker than staves and class abilities. It makes medium and heavy armor less desirable than light armor. Fix this imbalance, and you'll address most of your balance issues.
