A while back they bumped costumes and skins from 100 gems to 400 gems (and they even advertised the fact with an exclamatory comment, as if it was good news, which was really out of touch). Gem yield from converting items to gems was also decreased considerably, so the net result is that we now get less stuff for more gems. Introducing seals of endeavours have definitely played a part in this, but regardless, having costumes and skins in the apex category, when RNG is so demonstrably low for this tier, and when gems accumulate so much slower than before, is a low blow and a bad practice.

400 gems is simply the new cost for having a seam added to your skin. Don't like it? Tough luck for the un-seamed and gemless.

The seam on the waist is unpleasant.



Other revealing dress was beautiful, cheaper, and has no "seam" problem:



Visual glitches appear on chest (front and back) for female characters, on area where their bra usually is.
Glitches also appear on both male and female character's arms, just above the places where adornment starts.



And there are multiple glitched seams on the neck:
