Scribing missed opportunity

Anyone else feel like they missed the mark with scribing? Sure, the new grimoire skills are a good idea, but doing affixes should be applicable to all skills, not just scribed ones.

Oh lordy, how OP could we make characters... 200k DPS would be the norm, PvP would be a mess, fake tanking might somehow get worse...

No, I do not want scribing on every skill in the game.

I do want it to be slowly expanded. Werewolves, vampires, and maybe a skill for every class skill line. Thankfully that looks like what ZoS is trying to do.

The affixes could be expanded into give extra morphs by only applying to base skills rather than the morphs of skills.

Before we got more details on Scribing, I imagined that it will be very different from what we have.
I thought that Scribing would let us change damage type/resource cost of all currently existing skills; add more effects and buffs/debuffs to them as well :)

What we got as Scribing looks interesting, but I've yet to scribe any skill except for Trample :D Need to test different possibilities on PTS before scribing something else on live server, because it's too punishing on live (ink costs are not refunded if I don't like what I've scribed)

I wasn't clear with what I meant. I'm not saying use all 3 script types on top of morphs, that would be insane. Instead, have some kind of combination of the four. For example, if you morph a skill, you can only apply a single script. If you want to do a full scribed skill, it operates as the current ones do where you can't then morph it.

That's exactly what I was thinking. If you morph it, you can't apply scripts. If you scribe it, you can't morph it.
