Markyn Ring of Majesty-ColdHarbour drop rate is crazy rare.

I've already picked up so many treasure chest in the ColdHabour(maybe 100?),
But never drop Lead. Bug? or stupid drop rate is problem?

I think there's a bug in forcing locks. I spent days in Vile Manse before someone suggested that I pick locks manually and then I got the lead within an hour. Might be some sample bias, but worth a shot.

I was having similar issues with force picking locks for a different lead. I’m actually doing Markyn’s right now, and was able to get the chest lead after about 1.5 hours’ worth of manual picking.

Still freaking annoying… whoever thought it was a good idea to put leads behind chests… ugh. Now I’m stuck on the last lead — daily quests. Also infuriating.

Yesterday, i picked up 40 times chest on the field. Or, maybe more.
But couldn't take Lead. And I've been doing this almost 3 years.

Just.....I felt disgusting for this. This is not so great gear though.
But please increase unreasonable drop rate, and Let me finish this nightmare.

3 years? Wow I thought I had bad luck with leads I feel for ya. I do remember it was hard to get years ago but not that hard

Silly advice, still: triple check that you don't have already that lead.

I've been struggling with the last lead for me from the Deadland dalies. I've triued everything. Doing dalies at different times. Attempting to do them back to back. Now im saving the coffers over a week and open them all up at once. I'm not sure what else to do... i've spoken with other players and they said its taken months and montrhs to get it.... Oh well my Subscription ends in 2 weeks. Either i get it or i dont.

Been a while since I got that lead, but it was the last one for me and definitely a grind. Pretty sure I forced locks. Took about 2-3 hours over the course of two days before I finally got the lead. And I actually was finding a surprising number of chests to unlock, it just didn't wanna drop.

Plan on it taking 200 chests to get the lead. Be thankful if it's less. It's not a bug. It's just an unreasonably low drop rate.

I had the same situation! I've been opening chests in Coldharbor for years (since this Mythic item was released in the game) in hope for this lead. I didn't even want to wear this item, just for collection. But about 2 months ago I've decided to review my Mythic collection and see what else I need to fully complete it... This lead was already there

I absolutely don't remember when I got it and how I dug it out

So if I didn't check my collection, I might still be farming chests for it!

Nowadays I actually wear this Mythic item sometimes

p.s.

I always manually pick locks in treasure chests, a pleasant mini-game before seeing all the loot

Clear out all of your other gold leads. It's like semi-mysticism but it's always worked for me.

That said, Markyn is super overrated, IMO. Which is ironic considering its epic grind.

I got this today finally....though.

I just can't understand why developer did insane rare drop rate for Majesty ring.
It's kind of bit unhealthy mental torture. It's a lower rate than Oaken ring actually.

Scattering people each zone is not bad idea by Lead hunting quest.
But, this type of time wasting super rare drop method is really wrong.

your not alone i had the same problem i spent 4 days in coldharbour farming the chest lead it has a horrible drop rate

The one I'm missing from that is the Deadlands Dailies one, but I'm not doing them every day.
