Closing discussion as people still express their concerns on the matter of AI?

In the end, that's the circle of life. ESO seems to be very quickly degrading, new MMOs pop up or earn new players. That's just the way it is.

This whole situation makes me wary of speaking in the game though. Not because of ERP, I never really had an interest in that, but because I do use straightforward language with people who are my close friends and they don't mind. That and having a few RP characters who would not mind using equally strong language or supporting war crimes (since playing a villain can be fun).
That being said, I think if AI is working overtime on naughty words, we would soon notice whole ERP RP builds getting banned, no? And that would create ripples - at least creating enough voices to make the problem truly heard. So far I haven't heard anything on that one... but I am also not sure if a post regarding ERP guild being banned wouldn't be removed from the forum due to its nature... idk, honestly. We can only wonder. I haven't heard of any RPers being banned yet, personally. Did anyone?

I have heard in my personal circle of one incident of a banning due to chats in whispers between two friends.

But more importantly, ZOS_Kevin made an official statement in which he acknowledges that there have been incorrect bans put out, and clarifies the process.

They have an automated system flag text and then a Human CSR reviews the case. So in the end there is now some ZOS people who have to sift through enormous amounts of chat logs, attempt to understand context, and then determine whether to ban or not. At least this is what was explained to us. Just doesn’t sound good to me.

Oh no, I agree with this! And I think I know the instance of temporary 72hr suspension you mean (if we mean the same discussion regarding certain housing item).
But I wonder if there was any true wider impact for people? I imagine some RP and ERP guilds can go pretty dark and... uhh, direct with descriptions. So we would have seen already some mass bans already, no? Or at least suspensions. But that's the only instance I knew of.

FYI, not planning to defend ZOS' actions in any capacity. It does feel a bit iffy that my private talks with people can get flagged. But I also wonder if we also had some concrete cases of RPers being impacted. I doubt everyone moved to Discord.

idk they shut down the banning spree really quickly before they made their response, likely in the hopes that people would forget about it which it appears they have
