This is the official feedback thread for the preview improvements for viewing mount animations and visual effects in the Crown Store. Specific feedback that the team is looking for includes the following:

Did the new and improved mount previews help you to get a better sense of how the mount will behave?
Were there any cases where the preview didn't cover something you were expecting it to cover? Is there anything you'd like to see adjusted or improved?
Do you have any other general feedback?

yes! i am especially happy to be able to preview the Rear Up animation.

the Brekka mount is beautiful by the way ^

I love the feature for the most part, but I would love it if there was a "Rear Up + Walk/Run" setting. Some mounts have a special trail that follow behind the rider and mount when they move around after doing a Rear Up, which at the moment cannot be seen. I know it may be hard doing this since the rest of the preview is from a stationary position, but I hope that something can be found out for it.

Yes, this is the best feature in upcoming patch for my taste, and one of the best features in the game!
I've been waiting for this feature since it was erroneously included in very old PTS patch notes many years ago

Thank you very much for finally adding it, because not every mount gets showcase video

And it's stressful to buy a mount just to test what effects/voice it has.

I have 1 gem-exclusive mount (Legion Zero Charger) which I still want to refund after years of owning it cause I don't use it: I was mislead by cool summoning animation in the store preview (which also suggested that it had cool voice), but after purchase I learned that it has no effects when rearing up, and the voice is ordinary animal

For perfection, there needs to be a way to preview if mount has trail/pawprints when moving

And I would love hearing a mount's voice for "giddy up" and jumping - not all videos include those sounds as well

Also, starting with New Moon crates, all Radiant/Apex mounts have special idle animations which can be seen in character selection screen and in housing. Showcase videos rarely include them, and some people don't even know that they exist!

For me, it's not possible to purchase every mount just to learn what cool movements designers add to it, and now there are so many mounts which are total mystery in this aspect because nobody showcases them... So please, add a way to preview those special idle animations too

For even more aesthetical pleasure, add a way to acquire and use special idle animations on all mounts of certain types.

3.Do you have any other general feedback?
For those who like to record videos about mounts, this feature will not make a proper showcase videos obsolete. Anyone who learns about existence of certain mount can look at the video even when the mount is no longer in the store, and decide if it will be worth waiting for. Proper video should include a mount's trail, all voice lines and housing idle animations

I looked through some of my mounts on PTS, and my personal preview winner is Shadow Rider Senche.

I recorded but never posted proper showcase video for it many years ago. And since the dungeon patch after Greymoor chapter, his muzzle is ruined by changes to lighting in the game. What you would see is old beauty of this mount which might never return...

But now, with huge red light on the head and sharp body turns, this senche is a rave party star on the preview
