Enchanting is currently broken. Better to stockpile runes until they address it, otherwise you're just going to be wasting them on gaining microscopic skill increases

and if it would be like usual you'd stand there alone crafting components in large batches then deconstruct them.

of course it depends on people's preference, but I guess the dev's goal was to increase interaction. for the same reason grouping up gives an xp bonus for example...

The reward vs effort ratio seems to be tilted toward the latter. It houses copious amounts of space and so far the only enchant I can really make use of are those for my weapons. Otherwise, the enchanting vendor makes an adequate alternative without costing me dozens of inventory spaces and skill points.

So far I would not recommend enchanting. But I've heard it gets better.

Agree with you about character leveling being much too fast. I am starting to wish I had some way to turn experience gains off for my character.

I agree that enchanting is broke. Deconstructing lvl 45-50 glyphs from dungeon drops only gives like 950 xp. By comparison, all other crafts give around 3600 xp. That means enchanting is currently earning 25% of what other crafts are. Obviously its broken.

My enchanting is at 15 or 16 now and thats after deconstructing about 100 glyphs from Coldharbour dungeons and discovering all the essence runes. My clothing and woodworking are both at 40. My blacksmithing that I dont even use is at 29.

Thats not necessarily true. I spent a lot of time making money in this game, so I had the capital to buy tons of Kuta and Rekuta. I have at least 20 Kuta and probably 50 Rekuta. Ive never duped anything in my life. I buy all of the cheap'ish ones on the guild auction houses because I anticipate the price to blow up when most people hit end game or Zenimax buffs enchanting XP and jump starts everyone to level the profession.

Some people are just more savvy when it comes to capitalizing on the market.

While its entirely possible that he did dupe them, the fact that he doesnt have hundreds of them is probably the biggest indicator that he most likely did not. Also, look at his gold, again, he doesnt have a million gold. He can obviously afford to buy Kuta's, especially when people are stupid enough to sell them for 250-300g.

The VR10 weapon means absolutely nothing other than he invested the required amount of skill points to be able to make them. The weapons that were duped were from the pvp vendor, and that one is obviously crafted.

lvl 18 here with woodworking and clothing op 22 and 26 respectively.

enchanting really is a chore to level, however certain levels appear to move way faster then others; I do notice that crafting known glyphs in purple quality does seem to provide an almost reasonable amount of xp.. however that requires getting the skill that allows using the rekuta rune.. (lvl.. 15?)

before that point the only way to get decent xp in it is translating runes or deconstructing runes from other players.

I literally deconstructed EVERY rune I found to get to lvl 18 and I crafted every glyph I could, cleaning my bank out of runestones twice in getting here.

Yeah, enchanting is a pain in the...knee. I have a friend who sends me since char-level 20 or something every single rune she gets, later even glyphs and I could barely keep pace with the skill till vet ranks. Now I'm Vet 2 and another friend helps me giving me runes and glyphs. And I managed to get to enchanting

I personally don't really care if its hard or not, the only thing that would make me mad is, that now while I'm leveling the skill and trying to push it as far as I can, it would get buffed, because many ppl complain about it being too slow or because they really missed a zero somewhere in the game code.

The skill is hard to level and it should stay like this. I also think they maybe wanted it to be like this, so ppl focus in different skills and help each other out, trade stuff. I get the runes and give my friend the materials for alchemy. While alchemy is far more faster to level, maybe the fastest skill ingame, its something where you continuously need materials because you drink your potions away. While enchanting a piece of armour, weapon holds really long and as soon as one reaches max level, very long!

I played runescape too and compared to that game every other game with "crafting/gathering" was laughable. I think its ok if eso has one hard to level skill, which takes long.

I found enchanting did not become a nightmare until around L25 and trying to get it to L40... I gave up.

The parts to make V1+ runes.... are rare as there is bugs with the break down of V1+ enchantments.

Anyone know a good L6 potency rune farming spot?
