The bolstering system scales your base magicka, stamina and health. That's it. You still don't have the attribute points to boost those, skill points (and the morphed and leveled abilities that go with that), gear, etc.

A VR character who has spent the time and acquired those resources should have an advantage over someone who hasn't. Period.

But it's just that – an advantage. At the end of the day tactics and strategy could still lead to a victory for the lower level player, even if it is extremely unlikely and requires skill.

That's how it should be. People should be rewarded for putting in the effort to level up before they fight harder enemies. As others have pointed out it would be far more unfair to nerf veteran players in PvP and take that away from those who have earned it.

As someone already pointed (and by the way I disagree with labeling this person a troll, they were making a valid point and the fact that you disagree with that point doesn't make them a troll) – get good.

oh please, ive seen vet7 players tear through groups of 10+ ppl and still coming out with half health and victorious...it is an advantage, but a huge one.

why the hell do you morons think every other recent mmo out there had some form of brackets for lower lvl pvp ... cause they know that even when scaling up stats it still doesnt compensate for a wider set of skills, better gear and so on.
in ESO on top of that you have additional skillpoints from skyshards and so on.

no, there is no balance to be had prior to vet1...i will never understand how they could be so lazy and just toss everyone in the same pool when it was quite forseeable that what is happening now(non-vet players getting rolfstomped) will happen.

Yeah, santa was a *** last christmas for me!

But this has happened, albeit a very rare occurrence. I never said that it was ANYWHERE near the norm.

I was killing VR characters just fine when I was in my 40s, but that being said, all they really have to do is to increase spell resistance a bit and armor rating by a decent amount and pre-VRs will become much more competitive.

I don't mind the idea of them being more "competitive". But when it becomes a discussion of them being "equal" without putting in the same effort/time/work, that's where I have a problem.

just coming out of auriels bow...vet10 dude tore through a group of 10 or so of ours ... in the end the guy had 1/2 his health left and got away while 7-8 out of that group were dead.i might add that he DID NOT have have a pocket healer or any kind of support.

and now go ahead and tell me with a straight face that this is a healthy state for a game...

things were fine during headstart when that gap simply wasnt there but now it is and its way too obvious to not do something about it.

hell make a 2nd camapign for 10-49...thats not too much to ask and it takes the cannonfodder that only gets shredded when doing anything else but firing a balista out of the equasion.

I have to disagree. I wanted to try Cyrodiil out today, while currently leaving my main on standby until my friend catches up, so I used a level 10 crafting alt.

I banded up with a small group of people and we managed to take farms, mines, and two keeps in a single evening. I never felt ridiculously underpowered. I got my fair share of loot mail and kills.

I think they did a great job with the level balancing.

Sorry, but you have to learn to play before asking about balance. Two good low lvl players can beat one VR1 player easily if they know that are doing.

VR10 is more complicated but you still can kill him. I think the game is pretty good balanced at this point.

Personally I don't PvP to kill 1000 players or capture 1000 keeps, I PvP because it's fun.

If 2 players meet on the battlefield, then I'd like both to have a 'reasonable' chance of victory (if I beat him, I want it to mean something - if he beats me, it should also mean something). There should be an element of meta-game, an element of knowledge and an element of skill.

Currently, I would say that the 'VR' element is dwarfing everything else in the game.

You do the work, you get the perks. It's too simple. If you don't want to be "discouraged" from playing pvp, then stay in your lane and put in the work by leveling your character in pve. This is a battle setting and no one should have to hold your hand because your level 10 gets rolled over when it picks a fight with someone that has put in time to become VR10. Get your weight up and then play with the big kids, till then, swim on the shallow end.

oh who cares. the times you face a single vet are so rare like legendary crafting mats, I really enjoy pvp , really do. used to play hours in swtor doing bgs all day. was fun. what I dont enjoy however is either getting zerged in split seconds or watching my actions having no impact because everyone is getting healed up instantly thanks to ...the zerg again. So basically ...every time I enter cyrodiil after a few mins a question myself why I am in this zone again ...

If you think that SWTOR pvp was good or even balanced, then you really need to just uninstall life.

I remember being level 30 on lower level PVP and killing those in the 10's and 20's with ease. Then I got to level 31.

I got my ass handed to me. Constantly.

at 50 it was farely balanced. it was rock, paper, scissors at times and some mechanics were better in certain gamemodes than others(jedi & hutball come to mind) but i played a BH and 1v1 in most cases could go either way.

This is brilliant. I remember when the idea of being boosted to 50 in Cyrodiil was the subject of dozens of rage threads. Now levelling actually makes a difference, and the rage is almost equal.

Oh, and don't even try with the 'brackets' suggestions. PvP is underpopulated as it is. Those who are pointing out that everyone will be VR10 soon should try to picture what it would be like keeping even 1-49 separate.

So, Heres a major problem. Veteran players.... are so op.. that anyone thats not a veteran rank doesn't even have a CHANCE to kill them. Oh no, dont think your gonna go stealth then kill them, dont you dare, because you wont even get them to half health before they heal up, no matter how powerful you are.

If your thinking of rolling a new character for pvp, I dont think so buddy. You will never be any good because your already behind the leveling curve. Almost everyone is atleast V1. Your outta luck, buddy, because your gonna be dying an awful lot if you cant find a way to catch up with the v1s.

Nice job with that balancing zenimax, Keep it up.

BTW, the ''LoL'' on ur post. Don't take It as a compliment. We placed It there to show u how much we laughed at how *** you are xD

Seriously ''no way to catch bla *** bla up''
Cry baby cry!!! Cry me rivers of blood And bleed out all your period blood.

It takes about 15-20 hours to level 1 to 50.
Your already In PvP so u are atleast lvl 10.
Making It a whole lot easier. And your down to 12-16 hours to get to lvl 50 (V1)

After u unlock Veteran Zones. It takes about 2 hours to get to V4...

Seriously. It took me around 21 hours to go from lvl 14 to V4.
    It's so *** easy.

So no. Take 1 weekend away from PvP. And you are V1- V10 In 3 days max.

IF u know where to go to lvl that is ;)
Which. I'm not sharing to you as you're crying about PvP ''Balance''
In the most Balanced game there Is. (got objections? then use the counter)
Every single skill here. Has a proper counter. :)
Somone healing too much? there are alot of Healing reduction skills.
Somone stunning? there way's to break stun, including way's to reduce CC time and cost of breaking CC's.

Somone doing way to much dmg? Stop building glass cannon use 1 of the 20+ Defensive spells out there.

Somone running too much? CC them or use Gap closers.

Seriously. You can build ANYTHING u want. There isn't any Unbalance.
It's just you not using correct skill builds... ffs.

Anything can be countered. And everything counters something.
It's not a 1 Skill dominates all. Alot think Vampires do, but Fightersguild dominates them. Does that make FG skills dominate? No, cause other skills dominate them. Does that make Normal skills dominate? No. Cause other Class skills dominate those... It's an endless circle. There Is no need to nerf anything. ppl just need to use the proper counter measures.

Level 50 hasn't been max level in TOR in a WHILE. And it was NEVER balanced. One prof or another would be OP to a ridiculous regard. Like Sorc when the game first launched, then Pyro BH, then Smash Monkeys, now Sorc again....from what I hear. Plus, the amount of healing has NO chance to outheal the amount of damage that's output. Unless you have 2 healers in the group.

The entire point of being veteran rank, is so you can decimate anything that gets in your way.

Play what you want to play, roll an alt, do whatever you want to do, I say. ESO isn't going to go offline tomorrow and never go online again. There's plenty of time to level another character and get to veteran rank 10. It doesn't matter if you're "behind the leveling curve" it's not a race.

Sad thing is i posted about this April 2nd and went into depth about it but nothing will get done about it. I have heard a rumor that zenimax may be making Cyrodiil all veteran ranked so i'm not sure how that's going to work for lowbies.

All they have to do is make everyone V10 and give them all the same gear and the problem would be solved.

Part of the fun of crafting and doing the PVE for me is getting better gear, skills etc to be able to compete more efficiently in Cyrodil. I hope that zenimax do not make Cyrodil veteran ranked only, I love going there on different alts and trying them out.
