So we still can't log in, there's still no update on previous issues cause of the issue.
Thing is, for any change made on any environment, don't you have rollback plans in scenarios like this where obviously something was broken due to a change made?
Roll back the change, assess logs to determine where the issue was while the customers continue to have use of the product, re-deploy amended change catering for the pinpointed issue as well as the new feature/function.
Apart from the above process, don't you guys do an SDLC for these things?

Nobody does anything, believe me, they are just waiting for evening to end and then they'll shutdown server and after 2 hours everything will be working like it was numerous times this year. ETA to login restoration is 4-6 hours.

Ok so it's better not to sit around and wait, but start some other game, good to know.
I'm glad I managed to do my dailies before I was disconnected...

It's not every patch. I was even surprised that the Murkmire launch didn't have a EU and/or Steam specific problem, but lo and behold here we go again
'Funny' fact: Steam NA works fine and so does non-Steam EU. It's only when you try to log in from Steam to EU that you get shafted

You mean this bugger: https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/441882/pc-mac-na-eu-maintenance-oct-22-2pm-edt-complete
That's why I wrote 'EU and/or Steam specific problem'.
There is a post on ESOReddit that claims another set of workaround steps. Just trying to keep things straight, I don't have STEAM account to verify myself.
Does this look like anything different than what does or doesn't work. especially the 2017 date issue:r/elderscrollsonline•Posted by########

For those who can't login due to Steam Issues
You need to login to the Elder Scrolls Online account through your steam account - https://account.elderscrollsonline.com/
Use the sign in through steam option, this will let ZOS know which TES product keys you own via steam.
Reset ESO account password if you can't remember or don't have one
Then navigate to \Steam\steamapps\common\Zenimax Online\The Elder Scrolls Online\game\client on your PC
Click on eso64, enter your username and password. It will let you login and play the game
EDIT: you might have to create an ESO account before hand, not really sure. The above method works for me whenever the steam link is down

No there's several days you can miss and still get it. Good job because even though I've played every day, I logged in the first day to find that the last day was greyed out and a timer was counting down before I could even get the first reward (played on the day as it was counting down to new month and no rewards left, next day logged in and I saw the last day was greyed out and a new timer counting down to around midnight.) That might be some normal thing where I've messed up, but surely if you play on the day it started that shouldn't happen. But yeah you can miss several days and still get Murkmire so this alone won't affect that.

Thankfully the last few days are less impressive rewards so even though some (like me) will miss out, it's not like we're losing a larger award unless this issue continues for the next week.
Can't login yet

Which of these are least helpful in getitng people to login to the game through Steam:
1. ZOS not fixing the damn issue!!!!
or
2. comments like these.
Don't mistake my terrible old man humour for lightening the mood for me not being super annoyed at the downtime

Ah thank you! Couldn't remember the name or location of the non-steam Executable! I actually did buy the game through Steam in late 2017, however, I got so sick of the Steam login issues, I took the opportunity to buy the base game in June through the Bethesda site pre-summerset launch special for 10 Euros. I'm in thanks. Guess I'll be buying another non-steam copy for the hubby too now. 4 copies of the game now. Sheesh XD
No game has 100% uptime. And shizzle happens. I mean get real, you think they want their server down? Whatever happened they're working to fix it. They aren't laughing and going meh who cares. Jeez.
