Didn't they already nerf shields like harness magicka etc to only last 6 seconds....and already more nerfed in pvp....
Anymore they will never be worth using.

With ZOS’s history with these things can you blame us? History has been even if the changes are ok we will still end up with major bugs from them fiddling. It’s not paranoia it’s historical logic. I might push the line but being a mag sorc main since beta this hits close to home too many time lately.
It's not that I don't understand the apprehension, it's that I know every single person already tossing blame and criticism would get upset (rightly) if people judged them similarly at work/school/social setting based on their past mistakes.
Just wait until Monday and base criticisms on the actual changes that are made.

Cause there's no way it's gonna be an improvement

Don’t QQ till you at least see the new system.

Ok, tell me what recommendations I should make about the PTS notes that we're going to have next week.
I get you're frustrated and so am I because sorcerer is my second most /played class. It's just that I don;t know what ZOS is going to do on Monday so the frustrations that are being articulated here are not new or concerns about something that has not taken place. Come monday, I'm sure there will be numerous things I don;t like about the patch notes and at that point, I will write my concerns down and have them based on actual data.
And although you have valid points i cant agree with you because i dont feel its right to complain about an upcoming change that will affect sorcs when there are two other magicka classes that not not only will be equally affected but are in a very poor place at the present state of the game
Thats why i find it really 'strange' to see mag sorcs complaining already for the changes and especially now that we dont even know what these changes will be
What classes would those be @Zodiac_ and what gameactivity are you speaking of? Warden and templar sure have a hard time soloing - but i´d put both above sorc currently when thinking of grouping.
And no other magica class will be affected in the same way sorcs are - because none has the same dependency on shields. Literally all other magica classes work without shields to some extend. Sorc becomes simply noncompetetive.
the complaining is simply fueled by almost 4.5 years of past experiences of what counterplay and balancing means to zos.
Picture a big hammer.[/quote]
poorly aimed.

I wouldn't. If I mess up every single time I've been given an assignment, people have a right to judge me until I prove myself worthy of trust again.
OK, here's the thing. As much time as I spent criticizing this game and the decisions that have been made, they have not messed up every single time. Go ahead and click on my wall of text with templars in my signature, there's a lot I don;t like that they have done. But the fact of the matter is they have made some good decisions and fixed a lot of stuff that was wrong with Templars. Like anyone else, they have made mistakes and made some good decisions.
But go on and keep criticizing stuff that does not even exist in the game yet.
I feel your pain but cmon man your 3 days early lol

Besides the tragic ZOS trainwreck history when they decide to "change" classes balance, another blow to their credibility comes from something that you should know well: the classes feedback threads.
22 pages of sorcs (stam included) feedback and "pain points" and how many of them have been ever addressed?
Zero? 1?
And what's needed to get any class (not just sorcs) nerfed again and again? All it takes is a pair of NB Youtubers who call for a nerf. It's enough. They don't even need to write it on these forums, ranting on Youtube is enough to have ZOS dutifully obey at the next patch.

ill quit this game when it happens and so will all the other veteran mgk players, insanity!!!! honestly not a single dev nor class rep have a clue about any balance in this game or what should be implemented in the game. everyone shows class bias and with another shield nerf its just another example of class bias 100% for the players that are envious and fail to realize shields don't make the class op it all, or are too bad to utilize them. they just keep perpetuating the misconception/narrative because shields are the only thing that gives resistances/opposes the opposition. soooooooo, of course they want them gone.
I'm curious as to what you want them to change though you know nothing of said changes? If the goal is to completely stop them from doing anything then this is a waste of time, they are moving forward with their plan, regardless of the outcry here.
If the goal is suitable change, again, what do you want changed about something you know nothing about?

personally, me, i just want them to leave shields the hell alone. I dont want a change to them at all.
