Except the person used the terms "always" and "usually" in the same context, which literally can't be done, as always means 100% and usually means only sometimes. The way he used them can only be correctly interpreted as "always", because following "always" with "usually" simply does not work.

im more surprised that a 720cp vote kicking someone in a NORMAL! dungeon, and its blessde crucible ffs! i can understand if its a DLC one but really blessed crucible? the only thing hard in that dgn is the long ass narrative and dialogue

but the I in the sentence allows it to not be placed in a literal term, "I always find that most people are just people" or "i always find that most of the times i play games i lose" since I is from a first person prospective which means it's not a general statement or factual one.

I could tell you a nice tale about a max CP healer geared up with end-game trials gear got vote kicked in vICP. The vote was started by a genius 2xx who queued up as everything and joined as a tank. Everybody else blindly said yes to the kick.

That fantastic group didn't go beyond the first trash mobs and disbanded. I ask myself why.
The other people in the group when whispered me apologizing for their dumb blind vote.

Sometimes you PUG into veteran DLC content and lady Luck kisses you with a real kickass healer and you are so dumb to kick that blessing.

Don't take a kick that bad.

You should have a limit to the vote kicks you can initiate per day. So you save them for when they are actually needed.

ff14 has a limit of once every 4 hours. It doesn't help, only thing to combat vote kick abuse is to network and run with others.

that is a party finder, which works along a df system.

df systems pull from the roles, while pf is a people set up their own rules and people join up. Idm adding a pf type system to ESO. It worked nice in ff14, make it have a lock option so you can set up farm only groups of people who already cleared the content.

OK First up, I have never done a dungeon in this game normal or vet. I'm getting the impression that I really don't want to, either. Impression I get from this and other dungeon threads is that not everyone gets loot from the boss? I used to believe that everyone who completed the vet dungeon got the monster helm.

Could someone please explain to this noob how dungeons work in this game? Probably better in pm not to derail the thread anymore?

from my experience it rarely happens. been playing mmo for 10-14+ years.

in my last mmo, which I played from launch in 2013 to last month i've been kicked out a good 4 times in a vote kick abuse. (5 years of playing)

forums make it seem a bigger problem then it is, and people who vote kick don't always do it for bad reasons. Some do it for legit reasons.

My very first experience in ESO with group finder dungeons at level 10 was a vote kick because I was level 10.

@Voxicity, isn't there a wait time to requeue? Or is it different when you get kicked? I assumed people who are kicked have to wait to requeue so whenever I did the queue for farming a set on normal, the amount of time they would have to wait for another queue, the normal would be finished (usually).

The point of a queue is to group people who don't have friends/guilds to be able to run the content. Telling that person to not use it for it's intended purpose seems a bit off to me. if anything, the three farmers should not be queueing if that is true. We are just speculating at this point. I can two man all normal dungeons with my boyfriend so if him or I need to farm for sets, we don't usually queue, we just two man it or if we queue, we don't kick. We see it as a way helping someone get the XP or skill point or both. A helpful community is a strong community.

Frankly I don't care what group I'm in, gear farming or not. My gear drops are mine. If I'm feeling generous, which most days I am, I'll give you what you are looking for. But the first hint of you demanding my property be given to you and it's over buddy. I don't play with Piggy Pugs!

Agree. I'm very generous but if someone starts demanding, especially if it was a unpleasant run (toxic attitudes), my graciousness is gone.

If you're 300 and higher CP, you shouldn't have much trouble soloing the normal dungeon. Ok, you may need another for the DLC ones on normal (it depends), but even a higher level and max CP can solo those. If you're 400 CP and higher, you should be able to solo the regular vet dungeons. Ok, you may need another for the DLC vet ones, unless you're the youtube ESO guru types, or someone of the likes of @Vaoh (that is one crazy son-of-a-beach, by the way) or others who have soloed the DLC ones.

Sure, I get it. Some probably don't want to be burden with lower level toons, but, that is just sad, since there is nothing really competitive about ESO. I can see if certain contents as a vet trial or even vet dungeon are turned into a real competition-base contents as the other professional-based competitive games. Then, I can see a group seeking out the better or best of the best. However, ESO is still a game as any other normal non-professional competition games, and it is suppose to be entertainment for all. It is just sad how many peeps can be so self-centered and non-team players in ESO. However, with many peeps who are not, there are still lots of others who are.

With four players, you should be able to clear any normal dungeon so breezily. Of course, if everyone is non-CP or not an alt, I'm sure you all will experience a challenge. For the vet ones, if everyone are under 300 CP, you're also likely to experience a harder (or better) challenge. I remember during my 500 CP tenure, I was going through the vet dungeons (by random queuing) and had peeps in the 100s and 200 range CP, and even a few in the double digits in certain runs. Everyone was contributing to the fight, though, and we got through the dungeons, despite a couple time of wiping. However, if I am in a group that is completely out of whack, or a certain someone who is truly toxic, or not a team player, then, yeah, he has to go, or I'll go; which this has happened a few times over.

This, been kicked twice in ESO, first was the queuing for CoS as cp180 and learning to heal, it was vet

Second was on an low level alt in normal CoS.
The level restriction in horn of the reach helped a lot, normal dlc with an low level group was hard.

Far more often players quit, for most content, that is outside harder vet dungeon it require an weak group, not just one weak player so they find its faster to quit and re-queue rater than stay in the mess.
Or the player find they are the weak link and quit rather than being kicked later.

I think you let your group members die a few times and want to play victim here.

lol - If a CP700+ dies in a Normal dungeon like Blessed Crucible, they deserve to die.

Vote kicking in normal is silly and no excuse of "Your low level! You weren't a DPS!" is useable

Its normal. They need to GIT GUD M8. A good player can solo in less than 20 mins anyway.

And if its Blessed Crucible. Just do it in vet for gear lol. Its Blessed. Just run it with tank + 3 DPS = EZ farm mode. X3 300+ DPS will tear that place a new one. With a tank just slotting something like earthgore for emergency heal is cake walk.

It always amazes me that groups don't pick up on the fact that, while yes, you're XXX CP's lower and perhaps even non-meta, yet you seem to know every subtle trick about content you've seeming never set foot in before.

My favorites are "Get to XXX CP and we'll talk," or "Try the role before you offer advice."

At that point, just leave them to their failed destiny.

Some can't wrap their head around the idea that some people have multiple accounts or switched platforms.

I used to reply with "Would you like me to swap to the account that has more CP the all of us combined?" or "Which of the 5 (of said role) would you like me to bring? I'll even let you pick the class."

True, had noticed before that the weak link tend to be the one initiate kick, the 13K health guy who refuses food is the obvious one. Also ran into that trap before, best to just leave afterward.

Its been mentioned but I've always found blind voting to be an issue, across many MMO games. It would be great if the popup was something like

A Vote to kick on XXXXXX has been started

Press X to reject this and keep this person

or press O to have them leave group.

With the last line in smaller text. Auto clicking then keeps the player.

Also there should be limits within an instance on how many times someone can instigate vote-to-kick. It gets so annoying when someone just sits there issuing vote-to-kicks until they get their way. The group said no now deal with it or just leave yourself......

Only case when I actually vote yes for kicking people is when theyre failing a mechanic leading to a wipe AND are unwilling to listen. Even if they're messing things up, being open to learning makes all the difference for me. Everyone was a noob once, people tend to forget that.
