    What does this mean?

You know how the maelstrom is for wall of elements? These weapons would effect a different ability @BlackbirdV

    Yeah brain went dead reading.

As for trait change - BoE only or super rare item to do so please. Else rip trials and dungeons.
Difficulty scaling is desperately needed. 9 years. 6 paid expansions. 25 DLCs. 41 game changing updates including A Realm Reborn-tier overhaul of the game including a permanent CP160 gear cap and ridiculous power creep thereafter. I'm sick and tired of hearing about Cadwell Silver&Gold as a "you think you do but you don't"-tier deflection to any criticism regarding the lack of overland difficulty in the game.

So Rich names how the new "arena" type, skill changing weapons, but I don't quite got how does he named them. @14.05 of the periscope video, sounds like silencer maybe, but not quite. Anyone figure it out!

A good mechanic would be getting a crafting item specific to that set when deconing pieces of it. Say you need 10 "essences" of Moondancer to retrait one item of the Moondancer set. I'm sure it wouldn't be a problem for ESO+ people, since they would go in the crafting bag. Bad for non-subs like me, though.

But who'll pay much for desirable traits when you can just pick any and re-trait it yourself. I'll guess there won't be 100k weapons or so anymore, but there won't be super cheap ones either, and all will stabilize at something like 10k. Seems reasonable.

Yeah, but weapons on correct traits is pretty much all there is to farm from trials. i'll appreciate tho to stop farming normal So for infused 1Hs.

if tradeable token is expended during re-trait then the value of trait specific gear will likely settle in at just below that token - assuming this is for non-crafted pieces. My hope is a writ voucher expense at like 100 or so. But i would not be surprised to see it be something like having the bosses drop a 1/10 widget along with their pieces. So, if after 10 tries you dont have the trait you want, you can convert one. Arguably it could be 1-for-1 or 2-for-1 based on the idea you would need five pieces converted at most for each set you want optimized.

Check out ESO's official twitter for a periscope for some new details on Clockwork City!

    https://twitter.com/TESOnline
    Rewatch the video: https://pscp.tv/TESOnline/1ZkKzOVWDLvGv

-Mini trial coming, you kind of choose the difficulty. Hardest mode is "skipping" all the mini bosses, because then you fight them with the main final boss. Easier would be to defeat some/all minibosses as you encounter them. Polymorph for the hardest of hard mode (I think I heard it doesn't drop every time though?)

    -Crazy king battleground mode

-Performance improvements, 15-20% increase in FPS overall. All platforms

-Trait tracker! See what items you have that you need to research!

-TRAIT CHANGING! You'll be able to change the trait on weapons and armor to any trait you have researched! Though.. there's another portion to that system they didn't discuss.

-New master/maelstrom (ability altering) type weapon!

    -PTS later this month

15-20% FPS increase for Xbox? Psshhh I'll believe it when I see it.

    Thank for this !

I hope the new " staff " won't need " impulse " or " elemental drain " cause 1) Impulse is an aoe and slot this staff only for multi target would be very sad , 2) elemental drain isn't slot by any Engame DPS ... maybe they could make it so with the staff this skill cost magicka instead of nothing ,and increase elemental damage take by the boss ? 3) I want my force pulse to become stronger :P

this would be cool but if you look at Vma weapons and Master staff , you will see that they only created them to make some skill USEFUL , even if the master staff still garbage cause they didn't buff destrutive clench , Vma weapons is the first step that made elemental wall useful ( just after that they buffed the elemental wall , before this, this skill was just a joke ) so i believe they will do the same with some useless skill.
But these weapons could have something like " Increase the power of the skill on the 5th slot of your skill bar "

trait , this make me lol xD imagine something like " Increase the power of the trait by 55% , and add 165 spell damage " with infused which increase the power of the enchantement ... at the end you have 897563 spell damage xD

ye, but with Impulse its mostly useless because in raids/trials its lightning heavy attacks are way-way better, it has no cost, you can stay out of mob range, you get resource back and still do a "ton" of damage while impulse isnt so bad its just cost a magicka and returns a little magicka but with current changes with morrowind you'll still be out of juice, but it would make it stronger in pvp especially ball zerg groups imo :D and in group dungeons probably :D
But it will probably buff force/crushing which is already strong but costs a lot so for me its still meh which is whats zos wants at least atm with the set changes :D

I'm looking forward to finding out more about re-traiting. And have stopped selling set items I may want in a different trait. If the system is worth it, I'll keep them. But if the system is poop, then I will start selling them again. I have the worst luck with RNG, I still have found zero of the dust and zero of that newer recipe piece to make extra special xp pots. So for me, I don't know what would be worse, an RNG system to fix RNG or it going through the crown store.

I agree, I think having an item bind-on-re-trait would be a great way of not changing the market too much. I'm glad to see this functionality. Any way of making it easier for people to test out new builds for themselves is a great idea.

Also, I have to believe that whatever [token item] is required to re-trait, whether it's RNG related or not, it must be easier to obtain than it would be to otherwise farm for the equipment itself again to find the trait you want. Otherwise there would be no usefulness to re-traiting, right?
