Has anyone tried this build yet? Does it actually work against heavy armor/high crit resistance?

Nice. I dont have the monster sets at the moment, so I will have to use 2 leki. Hopefully it wont effect my damage that much.

Thanks for the tip, but I won't have room for clever achemist if I add flanking.

You´re using clever alchemist + Swordsinger + Maelstrom greatsword (with nirnhooned trait). Then you go with 1 kena + 1 velidreth, for more weapon damage. Remove spriggan, since onslought ignore armorresistance, penetration becomes unimportant.

The build is hit or miss but does have it's moments. It also lacks quite a bit of functionality without having onslaught up.

I think for the 2 days I used it, my personal best was a 36k onslaught. Those streaks of 3-4 back to back kills are kinda fun too.

But after a few days most people will find it tedious and a bit boring . Something every ganker should try though, if only for a day
    Here since Beta.

Characters: All of them, both Stamina and Magicka.

Onslaught spam, fun stuff. Seems its the only skill the build uses and spams. Powerful sure but like the recent surge of DK's in cyro, combat has become repetitive and boring against these player types.

Yeah, it gets old very fast. Unless you're the type that can giggle wildly at seeing the same animation over and over again and would rather not ever have an actual fight.

It's so much fun. Setting people up though. I get on my block tank, talon root, and watch as the 3 or 4 i pulled from the Zerg get killed 1 by 1 instantly.

Do ultimates trigger proc sets? including red mountain.

I am not sure I want to go so all in with the build. But just being able to Onslaught + Excutioner from stealth when I need to seems good.

I am seeing if I can just stack weapon damage rather than just go with two hander damage only.

    Hundings rage? Nightmothers embrace?

*looks at a wiki*... yeah nothing even comes close to the normal build... clever alchemist is insane I'll need to commision someone to make me some. (I don't have DLC)

Strength of the Automaton is the next best thing if I want to do more than two hander, ergh farming gear ergh, I wish i could buy or craft it.

Curse the person who said that I shouldn't play nightblade without a proc set.

You don't want a proc set, as it won't do as much damage as the added damage from sword singer or automation when you consider the uppercut, animation cancelled with an onslaught

Anything that allows consistent and repeatable one shot kills from stealth is broken, IMO.

This build wont 1 shot most heavyplars or stam dks with 27k+ health. Tested it with the perfect build too. Hits around 23-25k. Im guessing their high crit resist and hardy negates so much of the damage.

Yeah, really wouldn't suggest running this in a CP campaign. It's much more effective in a place like Azura's where people can't stack high crit resist through CP.

It is, but it's one of the four classes' entire thing. Removing one-shots would require a rework of a lot of the NB class, and I don't think ZOS can afford to spend the time to do so.

What an utter load of crap. One shots should not exist. It's evidence of broken game balance in pvp.

There is nothing handicapping nightblade from fighting in the open like any other class. It just happens to attract a lot of cowardly players who are afraid of good fights.

I have nothing to do, so I try different things. I tried it too, and it turned out to be a huge disappointment and waste of materials and time :/

I used: 1 kena + 1 tremorscale + 5 Clever alchemist on off bar + 5 sword singer (and 4 piece alchemist on main bar with nirnhoned legendary greatsword)

Khajiit + Nightblade buffs to stealth damage, Major brutality, Relentless focus, potion to proc Alchemist + empower from mages guild + 100% crit from shadowy disguise

It is very hard to execute (for me), but it's hilarious in pve:

    Screenshot_20170219_124613.jpg

...and all the same, but in pvp:

    Screenshot_20170219_184705.jpg

And that person wasn't using radiant magelight cause they were stunned after Onslaught, means damage from stealth wasn't cut in half...

It was the hardest it hit. Average was even less, 12k :/ Most of time enemies were stunned, meaning they didn't use radiant magelight too. I never one shot anyone, unless he was already fighting and had less than 50% health.

The only fun thing with that build was accidentally killing someone with 11k Reverse Slice, not from stealth and not fully buffed :D Neither me nor enemy expected that.

    p/s

I was a victim of successful Onslaught gank, but:

    - I was in pure light pve armor with no crit resists at all
    - I didn't have radiant magelight slotted

Like I said, I agree that one-shots are bad game design (though one-shots aren't exclusive to NB.)

Nightblade is at a definite disadvantage when fighting out in the open, though, and it's by design. A quick look of the class' passives (Master Assassin) and skills (Shadowy Disguise and it's interactions with it's counters) show that.

You also have to use some kind of preliminary attack. A full heavy or wrecking blow are the best choices. But you can also have fun with a heavy bow attack-crit rush-onslaught.
