what do you mean by "pay-to-cp cap option"?

WoW had (possibly still has) an option to level your character to cap for a fee. I assume @KatzMainTank is implying ZOS will follow suit in terms of CP cap.

Well, ZOS has recently, once again, stated they will never... repeat... never add any P2W options in the Crown Store... and pay-to-cp cap would definitely be a P2W option.

Dang. I was hoping that mysterious 17th monster head was because an old dungeon like Vaults of Madness or Volenfell was getting a new "Veteran" storyline added!

Sorry, I'm going to blame jet lag on that one.

Is adding new storylines to the "old" dungeons (Arx through Vaults) a thing that still might happen someday? Or do you want to continue to focus on completely new dungeon content, like you did with WGT, ICP, RoM, and CoS?

But I know in my heart and soul, even my wallet, that Zenimax is above such standards. They would never cash grab from new players or put up pay walls in front of subs. They are our saviors only out to do right by us, the community.

I mean the same commerce formula WoW implemented after LK. Give some XP bonus incentives here and there, thin out the gettin' while it's good. Then when the cap is finally reached and is just to unattainable by new-comers or returning players...boom 80$ and you can be CP capped in one button click. Considering the market today versus the old MMO days, this will probably happen sooner than later. Cool thing is if you want to run twinks around, you'll be able to do that fairly easily. No questing required, straight to end-game content. Hopefully, they have more content...

actually what WoW has is the ability to get a char leveled to the old cap, so that someone new could come play a new wow expansion with their friends. one tamerial, obviously, means tghis is unnesscary

WoW also doesn't have a CP rank system which is arguably required for certain builds and/or Vet Dungeons, making it necessary...eventually. The CP maximum is 3600ish right? There's no amount of scaling Tamriel Unlimited will bring for a level 36 new player will compensate for in order for him to play with his 2k CP buddy who referred him to ESO.

Well theres the cap, there is the cp scale.
So while the '2k' cp player that doesn't exist will get 1 cp the new player would get 100

I mean, making all areas scale you to cp150 means all content is of the same level (One tamieral) and raising the CP cap every few weeks...
Idk, I am STILL not at cp cap and ive played since beta, so its not a big deal for me (Still stuff to do) but if the game is going to automatically scale everyone to 'near max level' What the point is leveling at all anymore?

Prolly the best way to implement cp. So if u want to play ur alt that isnt cappes at lv 50, u can still gain cp. But im not sure if thats what going to happen though

The way I am gathering it, the areas will stay the same level, and people will be bolstered up to the minimum level you need to be in order to complete that content.
It would be REALLY dumb to get rid of all levels.

Have you ever been in any of the DLC zones?
That is how One Tamriel will look like.

I have been to all of them, I do not think they will make ALL areas cp 160 though, that would make no sense what so ever. Then again it is ZoS =P.
