    Should do 1v1 arena bases on cp, have a que system, with leader board. Or even a fight club, where others can come watch the blood bath. I love sitting back and watching others duel it while sitting deep in the bush.



    I bet there will be something like that, people will organize big dueling events,, It will be awesome for sure :)

    but also, ZOS confirmed longer ago, that PVP and PVE arenas are in production, so patience, it is coming :)!

    well, it would be fun to be able to choose, to either gain APs for win, or to be able to bet gold or so.., or maybe even to bet some gear would be great option to make it even more fun

    Yeah, would be interesting if you could make an AP wager prior to the duel commencing. It shouldn't be up to the devs to reward the victors. Should be up to the users, who plan on using the function, to provide the reward...imo.

    If you're serious about PvP, why are you playing ESO instead of something like Albion Online, that not only provides an interface for you to place monetary bets when you challenge someone to a duel, it also offers full-loot PvP in red and black zones, of which there are many. It also has the most complex build customization tree since Path of Exile.

    I like ESO's structured PvP, and restricted to Cyrodil. But I sure didn't some to ESO for the PvP.

    The best justification for Dueling is that the game has a PvP system and you need to be able to test PvP builds in a safe and easy to set up environment. That's enough of a reward for me.

    Actually if they are scaling them, adding monster helms, new gear, separating the dungeons into stories and revamping the undaunted pledges. Then I would not call it no real development. Making a whole bunch of sequels would just be huge undertaking and they pretty much have a lot on their plate with this update. You may call it lazy but I call it smart. It makes sense to split the dungeons into stories.
    The whole idea of old dungeons being split with dificulty and stories together made normal and vet have double meanings when they are just supose to be dificulty. Now that old dungeons have stronger versions of them maybe we actually can see some of the mechanincs that was lost because it was too easy to beat the bosses on normal. Plus it still means we can get stories in the future.

    Just to be clear, you won't be able to gain AP for dueling, because of the previously-mentioned exploit material that would introduce. ;)

    just to be clear...there will *not* be any new stories to the existing dungeons in future...just stay as is option (normal) and do in harder mode option (vet, or whatever we are calling vet nowadays)

    So a lot of new monster helms and shoulders making it even harder to complete a set, scaling of all zones whether we want them scaled or not, and real money gambling.

    Explain to me again why I should want to keep this game on my harddrive?

    Because this update will add more content to the game. If you are gonna whine about grinding in an MMO after every update, maybe MMO'S aren't for you.

    The game does not need to provide that, if someone needs to have incentive to duel, they can make such bets themselves.
    After all, what does a player lose if he won the duel but the loser does not keep their part of the agreement?
    Nothing.
    The loser on the other hand lost his dignity and any honor he may have had.

    There are many MMOs out there with a simple duel mechanic. And it works, no incentive needed.
    Incentives will be added with competitive dueling - Arenas, also known as Battlegrounds.
    Until then, duel for fun, or not at all.

    I'm not suggesting it as an incentive, but as a way to make the whole experience richer and deeper.

    Gina Bruno confirmed in some other forum, that there is not going to be any AP gain trought dueling. but the bets, sounds interesting, I agree!

    Based on how certain boss fights differ slightly in normal versus veteran modes of WGT, ICP, RoM and CoS, I would assume veteran versions of old dungeons might get some new mechanics in boss fights.

    Does anyone else not see that they are pushing to abolish all 'levels' and just go with straight up CP (Which will just be another 'leveling' system)

    I mean, making all areas scale you to cp150 means all content is of the same level (One tamieral) and raising the CP cap every few weeks...


    Idk, I am STILL not at cp cap and ive played since beta, so its not a big deal for me (Still stuff to do) but if the game is going to automatically scale everyone to 'near max level' What the point is leveling at all anymore?

    I can agree it shouldn't give AP but it should give tokens for gear you can use in 1v1 and other other goodies. plus other people should be allowed to gamble on matches.

    That's why we needed "Battle Arenas" with gambling on matches, etc.
