Seems to be becoming a more common thing in pvp that people are spamming this endlessly and i guess just hoping that it bugs you out for an easy kill. The CC from this skill is completely broken and this thread is here because I would like to see it fixed.

My opinion of the skill itself: I get that it gives a nice heal debuff and i am sorry for the people that genuinely use it for that reason only but i personally feel the skill should be nerfed to either the stun or the heal debuff, not both but first I'd like to see it fixed in general.

I am sure we have all experienced this at some point but I just wanted to take 40 seconds of a dev's time to see this from another players perspective. The stun is 50% of the time bugged and you either break it and continue sliding back or you cannot break it as all clearly shown in the video.

    If the skill is bugged, why would you suggest a nerf? Why would you not just suggest that it needs to be fixed?

    That is one of the biggest issues with the ESO community, it's like everyone thinks everything needs a nerf always.

    Well maybe I wasn't clear enough from the title and video (at the end I said "any ETA on a fix?") etc, of course I want the skill to be fixed but I just want to add my personal views on the actual skill itself :smile:

    Broken or not the CC and heal debuff is a bit too much, that's just my opinion though.

    Are you telling me your 100% happy with all the skills in the game currently? Lol

    Ps: I'll edit my OP just to make sure people are more clear :smile:

    It's not just rev bash that bugs out, it's every CC.

    Every CC can bug out yes, thats correct BUT the following ones bugs out most often:

    1. Rev bash, got the top spot as I seem to bug out by this ability more than any other.
    2. Wrecking blow, so many times I get knocked into the air 2 times (second time with swirl at feet from cc breaking, sometimes you can't even break it)
    3. Fear: as much as I like this skill, it bugs out from time to time aswell and I cannot CC break it.

    Then in laggy situations every CC can bug out, still doesn't change the facts that some are buggier than others and rev bash is the worst atm according to most people I talk to about it.

    The problem with Reverb Bash is the disorient combined with the unbreakable stagger animation that takes place in the first 1.5 seconds.

    Let's look at the components of the ability individually.

    Component 1: Damage - Nothing wrong with this.

    Component 2: Major Defile - Nothing wrong as well.

    Component 3: Stagger animation - This animation cannot be CC-Broken. The same problem exists with Fear's head clutch animation. Animation lasts for 1.5 seconds.

    Component 4: Disorient - This lasts 2 seconds. Disorients do not give CC-Immunity when broken by damage.

    Component 5: Stun - This activates after the disorient wears off. Does not activate if the disorient is broken by damage.

    Taken individually, each component sounds reasonable except for component 3. However, they are all applied at once.

    When you get hit by Reverb Bash, Component 1 and 2 fires and terminates, then activates Component 3 and 4. Component 5 activates when Component 4 wears off.

    Disorients by their very nature do not give CC-Immunity unless broken out of. This by itself isn't an issue. However, the disorient from Reverb Bash is paired with the stagger animation, which means you now have a Disorient that cannot be CC-Broken.

    However, the stagger animation lasts for 1.5 seconds, and the disorient lasts for 2 seconds. This leaves a window of 0.5 seconds that a second Reverb Bash can be applied without triggering the CC-Immunity. When a second Reverb Bash is applied, the Disorient and Stagger overlaps. As the game does not think the Disorient was broken early due to a second disorient landing, it applies the stun component of the ability. This results the contradictory animations of the Stagger and the stun playing, causing the victim to slide around the floor unable to CC-break.

    This one does not advocate for any class to be nerfed. There are far deeper underlying issues then a simple "Class Imbalance". The Champion System is the problem. Not classes.

    If you dodge it, you still get hit in mid air and say your 10 or 15 meters away it'll pull you back to the point of contact and you can not break free from it until you are pulled back from the point of contact. Say the enemy now animation cancels and uses this you could land 1 wb > take flight, dot, so much dps before they are even allowed to break free from it.

    If you block it, the heal debuff from it will still apply which is fine, so how to counter?

    Also this i would not consider a bug if it works this way 100 percent of the time. It also happens with the npc SnB. I find it funny when people go "its not just revrb bash, its every cc" tell me which cc comes close to this as you can avoid the first wb(if you dont snare a wb user then thats your fault, or block to avoid the next one just stay close and cuddly), you can dodge roll out of fear(90 percent of the time nbs will gap close you and fear you just dodge.) Not saying those two skills are not bugged or even defending them but you can counter those however weak the counter maybe. Revrb bash is a different story.

    If you don't like this skill make sure everyone knows about it, i started posting it every where in zone about 2 weeks ago and all of a sudden I've seen more and more people using it, which is perfect. Its like it went into hiding so people could still abuse it next patch or wb and fear was just the easier skill to understand.

    Also on the bugs, anyone know anything about the multiple mundus stone users? 2+ mundus stones.
