ESO really does need a mobile app. It's a big AAA game that's sold millions of copies already, so there's no reason not to have one.

https://youtu.be/5YruAV7l-I0 I've seen you make that comparison a few times now @Heromofo and I really think it's an unfair comparison. The Divison is NOT an MMO... it's an online persistent RPG. They haven't really said how many will be able to be in one map at once but I expect it to be kind of like GTA5: A handful of players.
Also, the Divison has a few years on ESO... ESO development started n 2007... The Divison likely started around 2011...2012. So it has a good 4 or 5 years on ESO in terms of technology.
My point is that yes, the division is a beautiful game, but comparing it to ESO really is comparing two different things that shouldn't be compared.

Yeah i guess i always wanted Elder Scrolls to be that way but it is late.
But i want to show them how their app works and how a detailed app from them can go a long way.

I agree with the spirit behind the comparison though. When ESO was developed it was developed with the technology of the day... they didn't really push the boundaries. ZOS didn't even TRY to develop new technology.
I played Age of Conan (initially RELEASED in 2008) the other day and there were 3 things I noticed in the first 15 minutes of gameplay that just... well... it ticked me off.A game that came out one year after ESO began development... is 6 years older than ESO does these little details far better than ESO. It bugged me.
- Seamless underwater diving... ZOS should just copy Age of Conan. LITERALLY... Matt Firor should go over to Funcom, give them a bag of cash, and get the code libraries for their underwater gameplay and just plug it into ESO. Heck... even take the animations. Load up the ESO code... include the libraries and BOOM... underwater. (I know it's not that easy, I'm oversimplifying for effect
)
- Plant's Awareness. Plants had leaves that moved as I passed... It was such a simple, yet POWERFUL thing. It really made me feel like my character was there, in the world.
- Clothes that were worn by the characters and weren't painted on or looked to be a part of the characters model. I felt like the clothes were ON the characters, not PART of the characters.

Wow, Destiny IMO are doing it right
It would be a game changer for TESO and for those who want text chat in some form
The wow app supports text guild chat that pops on the app and in-game.
I'd support this 100% as I don't want stuff on my in-game screen but app only is a good option for peeps PC and console
At some point @Heromofo, we need to just accept that ESO will never be any of these things. In the end... it'll just be a sub-generic MMO with an amazing Elder Scrolls skin and (in my opinion) a great story.
I don't think it will ever achieve the long-term epic success we believe it can be capable of. We believe it is capable because it's the Elder Scrolls but man, take that away and what do we have left... not much... not much.

I need to see how open voice works on console but I'm thinking I would like open voice with app-chat on PC too... it seems like it would be a really cool combination.

It's a truth i am comming to see its why i cannot bring my self to create more Improving On ESO series.
Besides the Fallout series the Elder Scrolls games have always been my favorite games so its just hard to see.
Without the Elder Scrolls skins this game would the worse mmo yet.
But the worse part is with dedication they can right the wrongs here.
But like a mechanic working on their own car i believe alot of zos employees see their job as just a 9-5 job and are just waiting to go home.
But some jobs require a certain amount of dedication and if you dont love what you do it shows in your work.
Its also why you see more dedication and love in mods and in games like Witcher. Poor blokes loved their game so much and worked in some pretty insane conditions to get their baby made but it shows their love.

Never been a big phone person, as I am oldish and usually have the urge to slap the phones out of the hands of rude people that can't put the damn things down.
I really don't understand how any ingame issue is so important you need to use your phone RIGHT NOW to do it.
