Which server do you play on? And which splinters do you need to complete the relics?

I have to admit the NM has grown on me some. I started off just going to get the house but not worry about unlocking the rooms. But then, I decided to figure out how to unlock the rooms, and I started working on that by finding a guide on splinters and grouping up and starting groups myself when needed. I was going to stop at that point after I got them all unlocked, but then noticed that I had moved closer to the 5000 needed to unlock the bank in the house so I decided to keep working on that by doing dailies, but I was going to stop there. But then I noticed how much progress I was making on the GP so now I’m at 39/40. One more daily today will do it! But I still haven’t decided if I’m going to go for the 10,000 to unlock the furnishings at the vendor. And I still haven’t done any dungeons or anything like that and haven’t really figured out why I should do the dungeons. I guess people do the trial for the monster set? I’ve enjoyed the rolling boulder oddity and the daring races in the Parch so I’m always glad to get those dailies.

    In regards to Opulent Ordeal.

I have a moderate traumatic brain injury and I studied Opulent Ordeal heavily before attempting it with a very skilled group. I was on orange team. The sand walls wouldn't open up most of the time, leaving us jumping at the wall basically which in a way was reassuring because it wasn't just me. Unfortunately this also happened with the orange team Flame Shaper too in the center that you have to use sand wall to kill 🤦‍♀️

I know I can't remember off by heart where to go because of my disability and most times we can't see through walls like intended anyways when it was our turn to run through!

I love getting achievements and I wish this was more accessible. I find the timer way too short to get to the center too especially with the buggy sand walls.

Same for me. I planned on just getting the house and seeing what (if any) I can kill in NM. Then it progressed to gaining the relics, collectins favor, doing dungeons, then trial, then chasing the achievements. I like it very much with the exception of the need to refarm the keys and the weird choice of overland gear drops.

I can't find a good place to ask this.

There are three weights of monster set for the night market. You can buy all the shoulders from the vendor, but not the heads. Do we get ALL missing pieces in the end of event rewards, or just one head and one shoulder piece? None of the literature is clear on this.

If it is one of each, how can I get the other two weights for the monster head???
    @ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_KevinO

I would appreciate some clarity over the language please.

@timparr I do not know for sure how many drop in the end of the event (though I think I've read somewhere that it's one head and one shoulder), but the heads drop from the Opulent trial.

Thanks a lot for this - I guess they might have put this somewhere in the notes but I completely missed it. Makes sense now I think of how vet dungeons work.....

Not sure if anyone posted this yet, but it would be nice if there was a one-way wayshrine in the dungeons (can't remember if there was one in the trial but, if not, there as well) to make it easier to rejoin your group if you decide to swap characters.

There is no reason that I can think of to have it so you must run back to the dungeon as opposed to traveling straight back in to your friends.
My #1 wish for ESO Today: Decouple achievements from character progress and tracking.

So using the group finder, I've been making progress towards the GP, and unlocking the relics. I've made one, and I have two bosses each needed to make the other two. GP is at about 35 or 36, I'm confident I'll finish it.

Earning Favor, a lot less so. I'm currently just under 4000, I don't think I'll make 10,000 in the time left. Also doesn't look like I'll get to see the trial before this Night Market ends, not sure I'll even get to the dungeons.

I'll probaly pick the same faction next time to get the dye. I will say one thing for the keys, it may at least give players a reason to re-run the content. Right now I see the NM still active this late because people are still trying to complete the relic. I don't know if it'll be as active next time. I think it might be pretty dead by the third time, but I don't know what changes would need to be done to prevent that.

I have found this to be very frustrating. No one is on by the time I have time to get on. My guilds have already completed most of the content and everybody is just plain bored with it. I was asked once if I wanted to go into the trial but quickly learned that I can't because I don't have keys or something. I try to complete the dailies just to try to get something done and can't move 10 paces without dying over and over.

I don't like it at all. It's not something enjoyable but feels like I have to do it to get the Pursuit rewards and other stuff. I should be able to at least work with one other person to clear some of the content. However that too is not possible.

Sorry, I wanted to like it, I really did. But it's just no fun at all.

Great environment but a huge No to forced group play. I can't finish most of Night Market solo. Constantly dying and wayshrine spawning to dodge groups of mobs just to finish introductory quests is not on.

I get you have a vision, but many of us want to play ESO solo, not forced to group. This round of Golden Pursuits is a miss for me. Hopefully next round won't have me feel like I've been forced to play the way the devs want and now how I do. Feeling a bit disregarded on this entire update.

After playing through most of what the Night Market has to offer and living with its quirks for awhile, I am left with these overall impressions and complaints:

    1. Aside from the helm/shoulder pieces, the market is simply recycling sets that already exist. In that regard, the market is much like the Insensate Archive. However, unlike the cycle bosses in the archive, the market is only dropping a relatively small slice of purely base game items whereas the archive can also drop DLC overland sets. Furthermore, the archive at least changes up what nonclass set items it rewards every week but the market is not. And for as long as this event zone is going to be active, I'm sure that even rookie players will be sick of getting Plague Doctor, Burning Spellweave, Briarheart, and all the rest after a month and hundreds of quest coffers, bosses, and chests.

    2. We really have to run the gauntlet of every boss - or at least all of the argents - each time we want to run the event "dungeons" again???

    3. Getting around the market is frankly a pain in Mauloch's butt, made worse by the fact that there are multiple instances of the market that are indistinguishable from each other. For example: say that you are already poking around Sorrow's Friend doing solo district quests when a guildmate says that they're getting a group together to take down a calamitous boss in the Parch. Like as not, your guildmate isn't in the same Night Market as you anyway, so the moment that you group up, you will be prompted to teleport to *their* version of the Night Market. What's worse, it doesn't drop you at the "wayshrine" in the district that your guildmate is in but back in the Starlit Plaza. And Divines help you if the calamitous you're trying to help your guildmate with is in the northern section of the Parch because you'll have to sprint or sneak past dozens of overpowered generic enemies to get to the action you actually care about and if you aren't a stage 4 vamp or have the Shadow skill line, you're likely going to die.

The system would be modestly better if the various instances were named like in PvP and you could agree to meet your friends in Night Market Bravo, or whatever cute name you want to give it, at a designated time. And ideally, we would be able to port directly to the specific rooftop oasis in the district we want to work in from the plaza, rather than have to sneak or fight our way to where we want to be every. Single. Time.

    4. Everywhere else in the game, respawning at a wayshrine spares the player the 20ish seconds of being reconstituted and wandering around as a ghost. But not in the Night Market. It's annoying enough that we can't use a soul gem to respawn on the spot when we die to mobs in the districts - a fairly common occurrence, even for skilled and well-equipped players. But to rely on another player to rez you every time or else enjoy the tedious and time-consuming self-resurrection process? Granted, there are times when the ghost sprint is handy because we can avoid fighting small fry while getting back to the brazen boss that your allies are still battling. But depending on your exact location, you may still have to wait 10 seconds before reentering the fray yourself and it frankly gets old.

All in all, the market is taking the worst of the Inane Archive (namely, the recycling of already existing gear, trash mobs, and bosses) and attempting to weave in just enough fun content from the archive (the offensive and transformation verses that actually make it worth playing) and a sprinkling of *mostly* new features (the relics, a handful of leads, some clever puzzles, a genuinely nice player home, and the dungeonlets and trial) to try to convince the player base that your team has actually created something new.

When I first heard about an "event zone," my mind went to new world bosses, delves, maybe an overland set or two, scenic spots to visit, novel enemies, maybe even some fishing, and generally new things to *explore*. And Fargrave is actually a fairly picturesque plane of Oblivion filled with dunes and mysterious colossal bones, perhaps hiding monsters that would rather be left alone and of course treasures and secrets. You folks had good material to work with. Instead, we get a few strangely laid out districts densely packed with hordes of the same bad guys that we've already faced in other parts of the game - primarily dungeons, parts of Craglorn, and yes, that Incorrigible Archive thing. What are Silver Rose knights and rogue Telvanni, among other things, even doing in a daedric realm standing guard alongside random monsters? It doesn't even make sense.

    Thanks for reading.

Regarding Favor, be aware that the amount of Favor you get from completing Dorfifar's daily quest depends on whether you killed 25, 50(+25), or 75(+50+25) enemies. (The kill counter resets as soon as you reach each level, so after you kill 25 you must kill 50 more, and after that you must kill 75 more, so "kill 75" actually requires killing 25+50+75=150 enemies.) He then rewards you with 25, 50, or 75 Favor depending on how many you killed, so you want to complete the "kill 75" stage to get the most Favor.

You also get (iirc) 40 Favor for each daily district quest you turn in, so you'll want to complete as many of those as possible, preferably in all 3 districts. That would give you anywhere from 40 (for a single quest) to as much as 600 (for all 15 quests) Favor each day in addition to whatever you get from Dorfifar and your faction leader. The daily district quests can be a real pain to find (since many of the blue quest markers can spawn at different places), and an even bigger pain to complete, but if you can do all 15 each day for 10 days then that would give you the 6000 Favor you still lack to hit 10000-- not counting what you get from Dorfifar and your faction leader, so with luck it would be less than 10 days.

Oh, and you get something like 10 Favor each time you complete a Daring Race or an Oddity, so be sure to do as many of those as you can. 10 Favor isn't much, but it can stadt adding up if you do those a lot.

And if you can pair that with the daily quest from your faction leader for the race or the oddity that helps too. I think doing one of those quests gives you 75 favor. And that’s per character, so if you have multiple characters and have the good fortune each day to get the daily race or oddity quest several times that will help. And even if you end up with a different daily, other players can share the daily faction quest that you don’t have with you. However, the buff you get from doing the daring race is an account wide buff and lasts about 15 minutes, so you need to wait for the buff to expire before doing another daring race on a different character or you won’t be able to collect the creatia at the end of the race.

After reaching the 10,000 Faction Favor for the dye and the achievements I just do the bare minimum.

One faction Leader Daily Quest and the Blood on the Sands Daily Quest for the 2 Golden reward coffers each day.

I enjoy helping other players and sharing quests, but that's where I draw the line.

With all the lagging, disconnections, bugs and unresponsive controls the dungeons and trial are impossible for me to do.

I'll try doing the dailies more, I can probably find all 5 in the Parch, but only 3 in Sarrows. Although one of those is literally just cook a potato. I'll also try doing multiple characters as well. The blood on the Sands quest is so fast to complete in group I almost think it's bugged. I was doing it solo to 25 just for the GP, because I thought that was faster on week days when I have limited time.

I did try making the Tonic recipe, but it requires 2 unknown ingredients, which must drop the dungeons or trial because I haven't found them elsewhere.

They drop for the members of two other factions. So, you either have to buy them from them or wait for the NM to return and join another faction.

You mean the portents of Curiosity, Survival, and Wealth? You get them by being member of the respective faction. For example (from UESP):
The Portent of Survival is an ingredient used in Provisioning to make a certain recipe. It can only be obtained in the Night Market while you are a member of the Ruckus, from reward coffers, chests and enemy loot.

I would assume it's permanent since it's tied to an achievement. But if you choose a different faction the next time NM shows up, you'll be back at 0 for that faction.

Sharing faction daily quests in group doesn't work so many times, not sure why.

I suspect different faction members can't share.
