I have 3 accounts that didn't have the house, doing just the golden boxes each day, on both NA and EU. Not wasting my time with blues, and doing the bare minimum for the event because I have no desire to farm.

Update 48 is tomorrow but even if they install "part 2" they won't activate it until the event is completed.

U48 installs Phase 3. It's not needed for Phase 2 to start since that phase was installed with U47.

If you take the quest to defend a camp, at least on PS/NA I have found as long as I get there in time to attack the final boss, I am getting a Witches Festival golden box, the Witches Festival daily event tickets, and the Writhing Wall golden box. Three rewards for one activity! My opinion is if you are really short on play time for a day, you at least need to be doing this.

Positive feedback: I REALLY love that this is concurrent with Witch festival. I will say, these are the slickest, easiest plunder skulls I've ever farmed. The plunder skull tracker/timer makes it so easy to know when my loot will return... and having the Field Marshalls respawn every minute and a half makes the farming of my shrooms, spooky bits, and CANDLEFLIES!!!! so much easier.

If I have to take a perk from this event, THIS is it. *claps in a circle* round of applause for a very nice silver lining I had not expected. Camping in a delve has never been nicer :) I'm watching SO. MUCH. TRUECRIME!

Edit to add: I've also noticed the increased worm cult furnishing drop rate and definitely appreciate it, thank you!! 💜

People who already bought it will get a sellable loot item worth only 10k gold instead. No typo - just 10.000, while the house costs 1 million. A friend got that thing on day 1 of the event.

In my five guilds, two people have gotten the house. I have done the quests every day, all of the crafting at least twice a day, and the golden for the others on two accounts. I have not gotten the house yet on either account. Congratulations on your drop rate luck, but your luck doesn't suddenly make the drop rate high for everyone else.

As someone who bought the house previously, I find it really crappy that players who already own the house just aren't going to get anything. 10k is nothing. I'm happy for people who are getting it, but it still feels like buying it from the crown store was a waste now. ZOS shouldn't be alienating players who buy their products for the sake of artificially making a boring event seem more fun

They should have given us the new Worm Cult fortress/house instead. There's one in East Solstice.

Ive been doing 3 of the dailies for 3 gold boxes every day on three accounts.
That is well over 120 boxes and I still havent completed the wickersoul style yet. The drop rate absolutely sucks.
Ive only gotten 3 different ones and just keep getting the same ones over and over and over.
I think Ive gotten 3 shoes, already, 1 jerkin and one gloves.

Finally saw that the prices of the others I need are dropping to reasonable levels and just bought them
I am so sick of doing these dalies

The Stirk Fellowship Motif is a bit better. There is only one I havent gotten yet but Ive gotten 5 staves and 5 swords.....

Ever since they adjusted the meter for the wall event, pc na is only getting 6% a day. And now we have the witches festival too, slowing progress even further. At this rate, we won't get to the other half of the chapter until dec. This is one of the most boring events I've seen in 11 years, and we still have 2 more phases to go. I'd just like to play the content that I paid for and not have it locked behind an event that is trickling forward. With how this chapter was released, this is going to be my last chapter here after playing since Day 1.

Actually, I'd be willing to bet that the Witches Festival may boost the progress a bit. Because the Siege Camps award Plunder Skulls, so there could very well be more players completing the Siege Camp and Charging the Lens daily missions.

Nah. In stead of waiting for a bugged siege-whatever, with random spawn, bad drops and glitches, one is better off on base-game dolmens. Those at least spawn every time, have a pattern and also drop skulls. And that's just the nearest paralellism. What with public dungeons all over the place, many of which are barely visited ( dlc ones) , easy normal dungeons with 4/5 bosses ( skulls) in minutes, the occasional WB, who needs this second-rate excuse of an event? Oh and did I mention the Infinite Archive?

Of course there are better methods of farming plunder skulls. That's a given. However, when players decide whether to participate in the WW siege camp dailies, just the fact that they are now also dropping plunder skulls makes them a bit more palatable. Certainly more attractive than doing them without the added drops.

Myself personally? I've done the plunder skulls grind so many times over the years, I'm in danger of developing an allergy or intolerance for it. So I'm quite content to just get a few plunder skulls while making a token effort to push the progress bar. Certainly more willing than I was on Oct 22nd anyway.

your luck doesn't suddenly make the drop rate high for everyone else.

I didn't say it was high. I just said that it wasn't crazy low. As with all things RNG, some people will get screwed. I still remember the person who did 500 runs of vMA and didn't get a sharpened inferno (back in the days before curation, retrait, etc.) Was the drop chance low? No, most people got it with a not-insane number of runs. But that doesn't mean that there aren't people who will get screwed. That's just how RNG is. And while I did get the house on two of my lesser accounts, the account that I play more of and am more active on hasn't gotten it.

In any case, I have half a dozen friends and acquaintances who have reported getting it too. (And a lot of friends who can't get it because they already have it.)
all of the crafting at least twice a day

It won't drop from the crafting quests, at least according to ZOS's article.

Good to see some feedback from ZOS...

Since you are reading this (I hope), I wish you would take this opportunity to consider more the feedback of the community from the PTS forum. Usually, I feel that feedback is largely ignored, despite all evidence presented by reasonable and experienced people.

Regarding this event, I have a few comments:

As a player playing since the beginning, I can say this event is not that engaging compared to other holiday events. I think a Mayhem event with Vengeance is more engaging, while I am not a pvp player. It could be more exciting if this would lead to major story update like an Alliance War truce or peace, new Cyrodiil map etc.

People should be given the opportunity to work towards specific rewards. For example, I could skip the pet/mount pair, in order to get the Coldharbor house which I want for years. Or some people might want a cosmetic item, like a visual style or a weapon pack. Crafters might want attunable crafting stations. I would totally play more if this were the case.

Regarding drops for fetch quests. Respected people in the community have already voiced concern about players competing for kills, and this discouraging players from doing event dolmens (incursions whatever).
Probably you can't change now, but for future events, players should get a quest item like a gathering rune or something, which they could use with slain monsters. This could work very well for gathering things like "souls" or "wax/fat" etc. There are quests in the game featuring such a mechanic. This would make fetch quests easier.

My last input here is that such an event should bring much more disruption to the game world: change the skybox and have big bosses invade capital cities at specific intervals, have some debuff spread like in WoW, or turn into a cultist/ghost whatever with special abilities, so players can fight each other in pve. I would also like see cities partially destroyable by such events, while players could engage into rebuilding walls or structures like in Cyrodiil. Another idea is to have a special Oblivion plane with wild game mechanics built for special events. Something where you could use grappling hook/void portals, fly, have inversed floors like in an Escher drawing, and all sorts of counterintuitive situations where players could be really surprised. Instead of reskinned dolmens!

    @ZOS_JessicaFolsom

Hey good morning!! I'm curious about something we're seeing with field marshals. In our previous conversation earlier in this thread, you let us know that you guys hotfixed the drop rates of work cult furnishings. We very much confirmed this in guild that day and a few days after. People were able to get the furnishings they wanted. But starting this weekend we're seeing a downturn. We're back to getting maybe 1 green furnishing every 10 to 12 drops. (Drops meaning when you actually get drops, not every 30 seconds when the marshal respawns) Are the inclusion of plunder skulls in the drop table hindering the furnishings from dropping? The increased drop rate of these were the Zos mia culpa for the dreadful blue boxes that you say you won't fix due to hot fix limits (even tho we all have maintenance this week hmmmmm)

Can we have a look at this please? Thank you for your help and communication in this thread!

Yes, though I have had them take many many chests to get them. They can also drop from the defense chests at the camps, the same as the Stirk motif.

And yet, throughout the whole event so far, I have had two (2) drop. In 14 days. I do have pet fragments coming out of my tuchus though.

No, the drop rate really is that low. The person you responded to just had some really good RNG. I know a lot of people who already have the house (myself included) and none of us have received the 10k replacer, which means "the house" hasn't dropped for us, either. People who are saying "well I got it" are lucky and have therefore gone "oh, the drop rate is fine". I'm not having a go at them; that's human nature--but you don't need to feel like your genuine frustration is therefore invalid.

Hi everyone! During today's Update 48 PC/Mac launch maintenance, we ran into an issue that artificially pushed both PC EU and PC NA to Phase 2. We investigated and fixed the issue before opening servers, and both PC EU and PC NA are correctly back to the progress they were at when maintenance started this morning.

Due to this, there is a visual bug you will see at the Siege Camps. There is currently an issue where the archers from upgraded Siege Camps in Phase 2 are currently appearing and "levitating" in place. We are investigating a fix for these high flying archers - it should be fixed when servers flip over to Phase 2.
