the servers are NOT the issues. its the code!
if it was as simple as power cycling the servers, dont you think some bright spark would have done it?
dont you think Microsoft (who are at the top of the tree of the entire thing) might have said "have 500 quid, put some more RAM in it - or more likely, just pressed a button - because its virtual!!
it is the code, the engine and the calculations. nothing to do with servers. i wish people would stop saying it is!
That line was meant to be humor/sarcasm since it's pretty obvious it's more than just "the servers". It's too early in the morning to have this big of a meltdown over words on the Internet.

You’re very much on topic.
From what it sounds like, having never read the book, is that it describes the necessity for patience on launch windows.
While I feel very impatient for these problems to be resolved, that impatience is a direct result of whoever impatiently full sent this update that ruined things.

It is aimed at noting the need for agile processes and proper testing ahead of time. Given the number of PTS errors that have gone through (even when known) in the past I doubt even that book would help much.

Right, I just don’t understand how the game has gotten to such a state. I’ve never seen it this bad.

Probably because they can no longer afford to leave it alone, next month we have four games/expansions coming out that will be directly eating off of their plate.
- Throne and Liberty
- Diablo IV: Vessel of Hatred
- New World: Aeternum
- Dragon Age: The Veilguard
Then we have a constant drip feed of new fantasy titles coming with four of the listed games directly competing with Elder Scrolls as first person titles…
- Avowed
- Kingdom Come Deliverance II
- Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon
- Fable
- Alkahest
- ect…
We’re about to turn the corner into a new golden age for medieval fantasy games and ESO needs to stay relevant, and that takes investment.
What little Zenimax might be getting from Microsoft will become nothing if the playerbase continues to leave due to problems like these.

Thanks for the reminder! Just edited the post to include it, is that Alpha buy-in like the last one?
Just crashed to login screen again in Cyrodiil. That's three times since this most recent maintenance. I was previously crashing only once a week, if that.

I've seen it worse. But this is pretty bad.

If you've only crashed 3 times since Monday you're one of the very lucky ones. Most of us are crashing every 1-3 hours of play time.

We are escalating this thread and highlighting that there are more folks noting issues.

we have been making posts about this since Update 43.
Does this have anything to do with the AI bot?
AI uses a lot of CPU resources to monitor things, then make an internal report.
We do have a method of reporting players...so the AI bot is just taking server resources away from the game and is really unnecessary.

A very expensive buy-in as I recall. Paying for vaporware is not necessarily a good idea.
