I do enjoy the game in general but this was the quickest I've gotten the zone quests done. Didn't seem to be as much to it this time. I was disappointed the crazy Daedric Prince was so easy to defeat and drive away, was hoping she'd stick around to cause havoc from time to time.

Part of ESO design thesis seems to be to make the questing and many other aspects of new content possible to run on a new character/account. That's a big constraint on what new content would be.

They are never going to add children into this game, which is probably a good thing.

Why would you want to skip mobs in dungeons and then also increase the difficulty of them?

    What is Tales of Glory?

Why would killing guards be a good thing? That makes thieving completely risk-free.

There is no world where reporting a player for abusive trial abandonment is a good idea; that's absolutely ripe for abuse.

Using AI to translate other languages would be a terrible idea. You mention Russian and Chinese here, why? Is ESO even available in those respective countries?

Personally, I was enjoying story aspect of GoldRoad (Cuz I'm Science Fiction fan).
So I want to hear your opinion.

This DLC downright requires Necrom completion to make any sense, while other continuous stories don't have that problem. Ithelia also is too close to Meridia and Jyggalag for me, at least not without mentioning either of them. From a writing perspective, it feels like ZOS tried to make a morally grey character but went too into the grey and I sided with Ithelia all the way until she went straight up evil and then my response was "okay so we're sending a Daedric Prince to therapy?". I think this would've been a better 10th year Chapter if Meridia had a large part in it. Instead of using Daedric artifacts to deal with Ithelia, Meridia could've rejoined with us once again to help deal with her sister. In the parallel realms we could've explored familiar sights but a little different, and in the end either rescue Darien from a parallel universe (making Meridia mad at us) or just generally set up the next Chapter to be about Meridia.
So, mostly personal preference, but a few more objective things.

I don't know how things are for the other languages but the french translation has so many mistakes it's insulting. We don't even have devs or community managers interracting with us anymore. It's been like this for years now.

I play it in french too (even if I'm not French) and I 100% agree. French translations are a joke.

In better case, you just have some grammar mistakes. But in worst case, you get this:
    c4gocc9orhvo.png

(I swapped to English to check if the mistake was still there and it wasn't. Maybe it was patched since).

And another terrible thing about French translations is how lore concepts/terms are translated.

For instance, as a Morrowind fan I was hyped to see we could get a copy of Trueflame (the sword of Nerevar) as style page during the last Jubilee. In French, the exact translation for Trueflame (at least the one you get in Tribunal DLC from 2003) is "Viveflamme" (which could basically be translated by "Vivelyflame" in English).

But for the 2024 Jubilee event in ESO they didn't respect this historic and accurate translation and translated the item with "Vraifeu" (which could be translated by "Truefire").

First it sounds less majestic, but also, it proves that French translators don't know the game and its lore at all. Which is a bit shameful when it comes to a MMO-RPG.

    I've been feeling similar lately.

I've had ESO and played for 10 years on and off, I got the game just a few months after launch. I absolutely love TES 4 Oblivion and TES V Skyrim. It makes me a bit sad that for this 10 year anniversary of ESO, I'm not very excited about it anymore.

I used to get very excited about new expansions for ESO and the new zones that would include. But now it's all the same.... :/

Sure it's always visually different, the art team always does a fantastic job creating diverse and unique zones!

But at the core it's always the same as you said: 18 skyshards
    6 delves
    2 public dungeons
    6 world bosses
    1 trial
    3 craftable sets...

This path ESO has been on the past couple of years, it's become underwhelming. It was good the first couple of times. But the same again, and again and again. Why do we need a ton of dungeons? Isn't there some alternate way one could present a story without dungeons.

I mainly quest and enjoy PVE content. The past few expansions the quests have seemed so basic, so rudimentary and just plain. Just feels like something is missing, this spark or extra detail which made the first expansions great.

Summerset is probably one of the most beloved expansions. We can ask why did we all love Summerset so much? Perhaps the devs need to go back and look at previous expansions and really examine what worked and what didn't work.

I personally didn't find it that fun.

Always the same things to do, the game is too repetitive.
However, I've been playing for years and ESO is probably great for new players even if it might be chaotic for them too at first.
I'm not satisfied because I would like vertical progression, after 10 years they can increase the level, update the skills and the Champions system.
I don't think this Bethesda model of horizontal progression is good, it can even be seen in the new games released recently, players get bored easily.
The queue system could also take inspiration from ff14, with bonuses in gold and materials for tanks and healers but nothing; luckily something has been done.

Mixed feelings because they have slowly played around with releasing less content each year so I know it we could be getting more but it's a conscious company decision, as many have said this is likely due to diverting resources to another not yet announced project. I still have about 30-35% of the overland/quest/dungeon content left to do so I'm all right for a while but not sure what I'll do after catching up, maybe try PvP or do casual farming as a form of relaxation once in a while (don't really farm often right now) and just check in during events. Also we will finally be getting some interesting stuff in the crates, but that's gambling so I don't know how excited one should get about that.

I think Scribing was good because it gave me something to play around with for my overland build where it's more about aesthetics and fun rather than min/maxing dmg, it's been a long time since we had new skills in the game and I generally don't use alts. So actually just for that and the well written scribing quests the new chapter was worth getting for me. Infinite Archive is ok to come back to once in a while but doing daily runs is definitely not fun. It's nice you can buy leads through it. The whole repetitive grinding and RNG thing.. wish there was some better method for going after user engagement.

Edit: Oh yeah and as always the art and sfx/music teams deliver in each expansion.
Edit2: Macabre Vintage set was a nice addition to overland gameplay with its 'corpse explosion' effect. Feels like vintage elder scrolls.

Would like a change to the events, and have missed the 4th quarter dlc.

Housing - needs much more love than is going to get. Listings and visiting or whatever is just - meh. Would like to know whether having inside & outside of houses as different instances could increase inventory - would be happy to wait for things to load at door if could squeeze more in!

PVP - needs an overhaul. Love Cyro but needs much love.

IA - dull. So dull. Only do it if want the currency to buy a lead otherwise avoid like the plague.

They just need to do better. It annoys me as its like they don’t care anymore, which is foolish & sad, as this game is good, but has the capacity to be great.

When it comes to the sword translation, this is usually how you know how good the translation team is. In the vast majority of cases, it's a team that doesn't play the game and has no context either (they receive lines of text). BUT in good games where the developers care a great deal about their creation, not only you will not have issues like this but more often than not the french translation will be better than the english one. This is only the case however when the original language of the game isn't english. Like.. japanese for instance.. if you catch my drift lol

As for the image, yeah you will now find that stuff all over the place. Even in the champion points, the dialogues, etc. Ergh

I voted other because I decided recently I need to stop pre-ordering the new chapters and instead wait until they're heavily discounted, but it's nothing to do with what's in them. I've barely even been to West Weald, or Necrom so I can't really comment on what's in them, but that's the problem.

I'm not playing ESO that much and when I am I tend to focus on characters working through older stuff instead of the new zones and features. It's not because I tried it and didn't like it, for all I know it could be better than anything else released so far, but I'm not motivated to play it.

Yes, I'm very satisfied with it
It doesn't need (and probably will not get) buffing - it's quite likely planned to be a minor thing which will not provide overpowering usage. So far, it seems to have much more utility in pvp - as I note from posts by those who mostly pvp and discuss the advantages of various scribed skills. Since I have zero use for pvp, I don't know firsthand.

As far as pve, I'm perfectly happy with class skills, not really interested in messing with scribing for that. Love the questline, I'm planning to do it on every one of my many many alts, but as far as using it? Most likely not going to be my thing. However, this is an expandable system, so perhaps you will eventually find things to make you happier.

    Or not.

No, I'm quite disappointed with it
Between the slowly shrinking total content, terrible balance, horrendously easy overland and questing, for the price of each expansion, I have long since lost interest in this and have decided to stop supporting this game. I used to pre-order each expansion and have a constant Plus sub from the moment I first started playing ESO (Slightly before the DB release), and while I will admit there have been *some* nice features added to the game, overall the direction of the game and lack of real support, especially in the PvP front, is just terrible.

So from now on until something changes, I am going to keep mindlessly playing the game, finding what small enjoyment I can such as ticking off the achivement list, without providing a single further penny and on ZoS' dime, while putting my money towards something else I am getting much more enjoyment out of. such as WoW. I've not even finished Necrom yet, and will not get Gold Road

For me, it's in line with previous adds, so also in line with what I was expecting. As such, I'm neither satisfied nor disappointed. There is no surprise. It's "as usual".

I was always honest about it: ESO is for me a "holiday" place aside of my main game. I come to chill solo in full freedom and do love ESO for that, but the game couldn't be more for me, because there are too many things I don't like.
My way to play is adapted to avoid that what I don't like. So, I'm like "in my bubble" and rarely affected by what happens around me. That includes the adds.

I'm much more affected by existing issues, that are a bother on a daily basis. For example the followers in town, the crashing trading market, the increasing lack of interest at resources farming because everything now with common drop rates, and so on... Those are eroding my fun a tiny bit more day after day, doing more damages overall than a potential disappointment after an add.

I'm looking forward to seeing how the new Chapter feature every year is expanded upon. Antiquities from the Greymoor Chapter was given several new Mythics over the years, such as the Oakensoul Ring in High Isle or the Shapeshifter's Chain in Blackwood. Those Mythics are useful for me in a variety of builds I use in PvE or PvP.

So, while the selling point of the Chapter alone isn't enough to keep me occupied for a whole year (after all, once you've unlocked a Mythic, you don't need to unlock it again) it does still add to the core gameplay loop that I enjoy.

I'd like existing base game content to be updated along with old sets. I would also like content as a whole to feature open doors. You always see locked doors or invisible walls on structures, houses, mountains, streams; return the joy of exploring and, very importantly, getting lost in ESO. Less stories, more sandbox.

Also, ESO focuses too much on visual delights, and not enough on robust, meaningful interactions that impact the game. Let quests and story lines be chosen with actual alternate endings. This way many run throughs have different combinations like a puzzle creating joy in replaying.

I hate... absolutely hate their ' add a new OP item/class' then nerf if philosophy. It reeks of duplicity. if the class/item can not stand on its own in a new expansion/dlc, then it should not be in game. When a company acts in this manner, you can not trust them with other aspects of the game.

    Completely ignoring player feedback.

I am going to hark on about it again, but.... We never asked for a change to templar jabs. We never wanted it.. You did it anyway.

You are attempting to make us play a specific way with Arcanists this upcoming patch.... We don't want to use the other morph of flail. Nerfing aspects of the skill we like does not make us want to use the other morph any more. it just makes us resent the fact you are telling us how we should play.

Learn numbers and what they do. Wardens this upcoming patch are getting a kicking yet again. Why? How is this helping anyone and how is this helping wardens especially. They are already played in the minority. Are you trying to kill them off completely?

Mitigation is somewhat of a joke now, due to the way ZoS calculates mitigation values. I have seen nothing saying they are looking at fixing this. Additive was fine for years. if you need to make it multiplicative, make sure it actually works properly.

No, I'm very disappointed with it
    Completely ignoring player feedback

This is also how I feel it.

I mean... Look at the new housing feature coming with U43... We've been asking for years for other features (furnishings bags, more items, more interaction with items, free camera mode for screens/vids, armor dummies, ability to put your own chars as NPCs, etc.)

Instead of that, they came with a feature almost nobody was asking for...

    *sigh*

It feels like the company has moved on to something new and isn't very interested in ESO anymore. The reveals at the beginning of the year feel scripted, hollow and artificial. The chapters are getting smaller. The community people seem disorganized especially that during the last presentation stream where the girl in front of the fish tank seemed like she didn't have anything prepared and just rambled with her coworkers. Then there is the elimination of content at the end of the year. And no, I don't consider a menu a new feature.

I am assuming that ZOS is wrapped up in the new game and the old game is no longer interesting to them but their formula got really stale and they're too busy doing something else to care. I've seen this a lot in my career.

I can't vote on a biased post where, instead of just giving the poll options, your post is full with your negative comments.
