Okay, but this picture made me laugh/cry. lol.

But.... the lag now is so bad in PvE as well which is odd to me. Sure, we are used to this level of performance on the PvP side.. it's been like this for so many years but now it's all over PvE and making it really difficult to even do writs.

When you crash or dc in combat you pretty consistently get stuck in a state where you can not get back on for 2-5 mins. Super delayed and frustrating.

yes they stopped responding to the thread, then it dissappeared, then it came back then it dissapeared again.
they stopped referring to refactoring and started calling it threading and then we all knoew.
I've seen the complaint in zone chat, but every time I checked /latency it was fine. Sure it's not y'alls internet connection? your ISP could be having an issue even if it's just pinging one specific location, make sure it's whitelisted everywhere it can be and set all your ports properly/etc.

PVE may be ISP for the ones seeing it most.

You might think that, it would be logical, however my wife and I play ESO together and sometimes one of us has extreme latency in-game beyond unplayable and the other does not. If it was the ISP, then we should both be having the same issues. But this is not the case.
It's easy to blame the ISP, despite first-line fault finding indicating otherwise.

I'd challenge anyone in a leadership role in the company to factor in technical debt they have because they refuse to refactor the code. This is a conversation that hassssssss to happen (most leaders don't even know what technical debt is so it's never even discussed).

I don't think it's a matter of technical debt. You can refactor endlessly, but when the issue is with the servers, it doesn't solve anything. If the problem were in the code, everyone would be experiencing exact same issues. But we see that only a portion of the players are affected simultaniously. This kind of suggests that the questions should be directed not at the programmers, but at the administrators of the whole system.

Do you have vastly different CP levels?

They just upgraded the servers last year and we are right back to where we are. It's not the servers.
Now - are the servers configured improperly some how... sure that is possible. But throwing money and hardware at the issue didn't fix it.

It wasn't exactly a server upgrade. It was replacing "some parts" so that "future compatibility" would be easier. They didn't actually move the servers to MS Azure cloud or anything - not even more modern racks/blades. If they had, they'd have very proudly announced it. [And if I'm wrong there, I'd very much like for the IT guys to correct me and then explain to EVERYONE what's going on here.... because I STILL do not have any of these issues y'all are seeing, which I find pretty odd entirely since my only "broadband" connection is satellite....]

I'm not saying you're wrong... but I find it impossible you play PC/NA/Grayhost and have never experience the issues described in this long thread.

Somebody posted a Chinese script in the Vvardenfell zone chat today, I was right in the middle of picking a pocket when it dropped and my screen froze for a couple seconds. Never seen anything like that before, although I've heard of chat script exploits in Cyrodiil being used to lag people out. But this was just one line of text with some numbers, looked like someone trying to sell in ZC.
