Hawk Eye Bow Passive

Can y'all please completely change this passive? It's entirely too clunky and uncomfortable with a 5 second window, especially as an Arcanist trying to keep it stacked between 4.9 second Exhausting Fatecarvers is basically impossible and takes a huge amount of power out of the bow. The Long Shot change is cool but Hawk Eye is in dire need of an update.

    I quite like Hawk Eye as it is. It triggers off LA and HA, so it works into several different play styles and its quite good IF you have the skill to use it.

    If the reason for the complaint is that, as an Arcanist, you HAVE to use Fatecarver and therefore Bow does not work for Arcanist, then that says more about Fatecarver then it does Bow and Hawk Eye.

    It really only buffs Bow/Bow builds because the window (even not considering Fatecarver, plenty of classes and builds have DoTs and buffs to maintain that make a 5 second window to keep stacks incredibly punishing). Not a single other weapon skill line passive has a stacking mechanic like this, it's totally out of the ordinary and makes one passive in the bow skill line completely useless for anyone not running Bow/bow (since it's while equipped and if you don't have a frontbar bow as well you can't really weave with an uptime of 5 seconds) because let's be real, switching to your other weapon and then using a single skill almost doesn't make the window once you switch back. It's clunky and only fits one weapon setup whereas every other weapon skill line has passive buffs that don't need to be stacked that buffs the weapon when equipped.

    I do get what you mean by the short window, I really do. Perhaps a stack could be removed every 5 seconds instead of all stacks? You weave a couple LAs on the back bar, get Hawk Eye up, then it ticks down a couple stacks on the front bar, but not as badly?

    Another option could be something similar to the Destruction Staff Ancient Knowledge passive. It would be interesting if Bow has a similar passive that augmented damage for it's particular damage type, Direct Damage, rather than parasitically buffing just Bow damage. Lightning Staff increases damage done with over time and channeled attacks, Inferno seems to be going for damage done by the initial hit of status effects, maybe Bow could increase damage done with direct damage? It would at least fit thematically, however I like the spooling up mechanic of Hawk Eye, requiring multiple hits to get going, but having a large payoff if you can sustain the stacks.

    On the same thread... it could be interesting too if the current Ancient Knowledge went in a similar direction as Hawk Eye and spooled up with stacks...

    I think the stacking would be fine if, like you suggested, it only removed 1 stack at a time instead of all 5. It's incredibly punishing in that regard, either a longer window or less stacks lost on a missed LA within the window.

    You lose stacks when you cast the bow ultimate, the timer should at least be longer to compensate for that
    Add a Scribing skill that works like Arcanist beam.

    Veteran players have been alienated and disengaged from Overland since One Tamriel, due to the lack of difficulty, and pushed into dungeons and trials; the minority of content in the Elder Scrolls Online. We can't take the repetition anymore, fix Overland engagement for Vet players. I don't even care if it's not combat related anymore, just make Overland engaging again.

    Overland difficulty scaling is desperately needed. 10 years. 6 paid expansions. 25 DLCs. 41 game changing updates including One Tamriel, an overhaul of the game including a permanent CP160 gear cap and ridiculous power creep thereafter. I'm sick and tired of hearing about Cadwell Silver & Gold as a "you think you do but you don't" - tier deflection to any criticism regarding the lack of overland difficulty in the game. I'm bored of dungeons, I'm bored of trials; make a personal difficulty slider for overland. Make a self debuff mythic. Literally anything at this point.

    Making the timer 10 seconds for Hawk Eye should be fine and would solve the problem easily... They have done this other areas to make certain buffs easier to manage.

    It would be noooiiiiice to have a light attack speed weapon. Dare I say, hawk eye should increase light attack speed? I have my reasons :)
