I would agree with the principle that the WB endeavor shouldn't expect people to be able to solo complete it. Santie makes a good point about guilds offering WB events for the weekly, and even those that don't will likely have players willing to group up and do them.

But as this is a general tips thread, I also thought might be useful to post which are the highest traffic world bosses. I'm probably missing some, but off the top of my head, these would be the WBs in Deshaan (probably the most active because of Mother's Sorrow gear, see below for spawns), Greenshade (for the lead that drops), Wrothgar (for Briarheart and Pariah gear, though this is DLC gated), Blackwood (it's new but chapter gated), as well as Trapjaw and Western Overlook in Glenumbra (see their locations below). I expect all of these to be active enough that they'll have people taking them down at all hours.

    glenumbra_elite_spawns.jpg

Any others that people can think of?

Edit: I'm including Western Overlook in Glenumbra because it's so close to Daggerfall and also has easy mechanics.

For today's 'launder 5 items' quest option, stacks of multiple items count, i.e. rogue draught potions, or lockpicks.

Two of today's endeavors are super-easy, and tips above about similar previous endeavors apply:
    • Craft 2 Items with the Enchanting skill.
    • Consume 2 Foods.

Laundering 5 Items at Fences is almost as easy -- steal them, go to a fence, and you're done. I continue to recommend the Hotspur on the Daggerfall docks, as it offers many things to steal (many of which you'd actually want to launder rather than sell to the fence), is completely unguarded, and is conveniently close to the Daggerfall Outlaw Refuge.

To Complete 1 Duel you just have to have somebody to duel with. Otherwise it's simple; somebody challenges the other to a duel; the other accepts; and you're off. Just don't do this in the middle of a town where other people want to walk unhindered.

To Kill 5 Citizens with the Blade of Woe, you absolutely have to have done the Dark Brotherhood introductory quest to get access to the Blade of Woe. (Just talk to Amelie Crowe in any Outlaw Refuge to pick it up; I'd guess there's also a way to start it in the open in the Gold Coast as well.) The quest itself is trivial once you pick it up.

Once you have the Blade of Woe available, murdering citizens is super-easy. If you want to avoid any chance of a bounty, however, you might use a little care in who you kill. The obvious choice, available to you if you advance the Dark Brotherhood quest line a little, is to enter a Black Sacrament, and kill almost anybody you see there. Just don't take a companion along, as they wouldn't like that.

One of today's daily endeavors is trivial: Complete 1 Quest is satisfied by, for example, any crafting writ.

One is almost as easy: Update an Outfit 1 Time. Notes on that include:
    • You do it at Outfit Stations, which are easily found in many but not all crafting towns. (Rawl'kha's is very conveniently located, while Vivec City's ... isn't.)
    • "Simpler" styles are cheaper. Cheapest of all are surely the 9 basic racial motifs, at 100 gold a piece.
    • Cheaper yet are dyes, at 50 gold a pop.
    • Dyes are also very easy. You can clear a color from a single dye slot. You can copy a color from one dye slot to another. In many cases, you can dye a helmet that you're actually hiding. This endeavor is most easily done via dyes.
    • And by the way: Even if your character wears a costume, as most of mine do, you may still want outfit styles for their weapons. A lot of people overlook that, at least for some characters.

    Two are PvPish:
    • Earn 150 Tel Var Stones Through Kills is said to work both on kills of players and of NPCs. That would be in Imperial City. Not every mob in Imperial City drops Tel Vars, but it's also not just bosses. Other folks surely know a lot more detail than I do.
    • Complete 1 Battleground Match is self-explanatory.

The fifth option is Destroy 5 Clockwork Foes.
    • Most mobs in Clockwork City fulfill this.
    • It is said that even critters do, but I didn't test that.
    • So does the first fight in Halls of Fabrication, but beware that one of the mobs in that fight has around 1 million health.
    • I don't know about the second round of Maelstrom Arena. Some of the mobs look Dwemerish. That venue looks Clockworkish, and is named after Sotha Sil. I'm guessing that a test would show they're Dwemer.

Did the Clockwork City one. It took more than five mobs — I suspect only the human-shaped robot dudes counted, but I just went in there blasting away and finished fast, so I’m not sure of that. I probably killed a couple of dozen mobs of all types before the notification came that I’d killed 5 to finish the endeavor.

Previous to doing that, I was in IC turning in one of dailies that I’d completed yesterday. Got hundreds of Tel Var stones without actually going into the combat zone and killing any more mobs. They counted as soon as I opened the reward packs.

This one killed angry robots in the angry robot district of the Brass Fortress (to the west of the area through a door).

Each one counted for this one.

That's too bad. I don't think I killed a lot more than 5 mobs total, all in the clockwork-imitations-of-beasts category near the area's main wayshrine.

By the way -- most of the tunnels and so on in the area have clockwork monsters. The main exception I can think of is the delve in the southwest.

Also, the introductory quest to Clockwork City:
    • Gives a skill point, for effort comparable to what you'd spend on a chapter of the Main Quest.
    • Has some clockwork mobs at the end. (I haven't tested them for this endeavor, but it would be a bug if they didn't work.)
If you haven't done that quest, you can pick it up at the area's main wayshrine, and in other places as well. (I keep getting offered it in the Wayrest bank.) It's the one starts "Greetings, Sera. A moment of your time ..." or something like that.

Yeah. If you didn't get charged then it didn't happen. :disappointed:

Today's list of daily endeavors brings back two trivial ones already discussed above:
    • Complete 1 Quest.
    • Use Ultimate Abilities 2 times.

Two more are of the kind that take a few loading screens and a few additional minutes each, IF you've already done the prerequisites:
    • Complete 1 Heist.
    • Excavate 2 Antiquities.

The fifth is Complete 1 Quest for Bruma in Cyrodiil. Of that I'll say:
    • I did some quests in Bruma tonight. Players were leaving players from other alliances in peace.
    • Bruma is at the border of the DC and EP natural territories, and hence is usually controlled by one of those two alliances.
    • If you can get safely into the main house where Grigerda gives quests, you're set. One of the 5 quests she may give you can be done entirely in that house, namely The Unseen. So if you get another quest, and you really don't want to step outside to do it, you can cancel it and try again until you get that one.
    • Safety aside, the only one of her choices that can get time-consuming is Know They Enemy. Bring Down the Magister is easy with a relatively quick respawn, and the other three make their own spawns for you when you need them.
    • And of course, for the Midyear Mayhem event right now you get event tickets and extra rewards for Cyrodiil town quests.

It almost feels like they are spilt into categories and the system chooses one randomly from a bank for each category each day - combat, crafting, PvP for sure - not sure how you would define the other two categories - questing and misc maybe?

But there is certainly a pattern.

Reminder: Antiquities help with a different grind, in that they get you small amounts of rapport with companions. Bastian gains 5 rapport if you scry in his presence. Mirri gains 5 rapport if you actually excavate in her presence. I don't know what the cooldowns on those gains are.

Today's set of daily endeavors is ... challenging.

Craft 4 items with the Alchemy skill is very easy. Notes on that include:
    • You SHOULD be crafting potions (and perhaps poisons) in advance for crafting writs.
    • Alchemy has a passive that lets you make more items at once.
    • Poisons craft at 4x the rate potions do.
    • This should mean that, even without the passive, you can satisfy the endeavor by making 4 poisons with 1 pair of reagents.
    • I haven't tested that the numbers for this endeavor work as they should.

Notes on Complete 1 Dungeon include:
    • At best, it's more time-consuming than many daily endeavors.
    • Today's pledges include Spindleclutch 1 and City of Ash 1, which many people find straightforward to solo.

Notes on Complete 1 Black Sacrament include:
    • If you haven't advanced in the Dark Brotherhood quest line a bit, you can't do this one.
    • If you can do it, then you probably also know how long it does or doesn't take you.
    • Don't bring Mirri or Bastian.

I don't know whether Kill 1 Player in Cyrodiil requires you to get the actual killing blow. I'd guess it does not.

Notes on Deal 75,000 Damage with Siege Weapons include:
    • We already discussed this kind of endeavor earlier in the thread, when the weeklies came out.
    • @DarcyMardin tells me one can damage groups of NPC mobs a lot faster than one can damage structures. These could be flag guards or whatever, but they also could be random bandits.

As for which siege to use, I'm guessing, do not know for a fact, and hope somebody will (dis)confirm that:
    • Meatbag catapults do more damage than most other siege options.
    • They can be bought from siege vendors for AP and perhaps also for gold.

I don't know whether fancy ballistas, like Cold Fire Ballistas or Lancers, do yet more.

I also wonder: If you start soloing a resource, go in the tower, kill the mage, etc. -- can you plant siege on the mage's former location and get multiple shots in against the flag guards? I'm guessing the platform is too small for that.

Alternatively, what happens if you put a ballista on the main floor of the tower and point it toward the guards?

I took care of the siege and the 1 player at the same time. During a keep siege I set up a cold stone treb, (they sometimes drop from anchor chests in Cyrodiil and MYM gift boxes.) I aimed for the top of the wall, where players had set up counter siege and where grouped up. I one-shoted at least one person, I couldn't tell you when I got 75000 damage, probably by the second shot, but I was done by the time we started on the inner door.

There should be plenty of battles like this on a Saturday. You might get by with a fire treb if you don't want to farm coldharbour weapons. Though I imagine some will just hit the hammer guards, run FG1, and and/or assassinate a target for the DB in addition to crafting some potions.

I took a cold stone or cold fire trebuchet to a goblin camp outside a delve, fired once, and racked up 250k+ total damage. This turns out to be a much easier endeavor than I thought.

Two of today's daily endeavors are trivial:
    • Harvest 5 Resources from the World.
    • Deconstruct 5 items at a Blacksmithing table.

Notes on Complete 1 Quest for Chorrol in Cyrodiil include:
    • Chorrol is deep in DC territory, and is accordingly fairly safe for a DC character much of the time.
    • I have been ganked in Chorrol even so, but so ineptly that I won the fight.
    • Most Chorrol quests involve a lot of schlepping. The one to kill 4 flame atronachs is the main exception ... assuming nobody is competing with you for spawns.

Destroy 5 Dwarven Automata is discussed above and in the predecessor thread linked above. (Well, except for the exact number 5.) It's obviously easy unless you have too much competition for spawns. The best ideas I know of for instanced sources, in case spawn competition gets too severe, are:
    • Darkshade Caverns 1.
    • Maelstrom Arena (but that one hasn't been tested for dwarvenness to my knowledge).
    • Maybe the Rkindaleft Group Event. (Definitely dwarven, but not tested for being fully on-demand.)

Pickpocket 3 Items is pretty easy IF you are so inclined.

I checked on the Chorrol quest, and though I generally consider Weynon Priory to be part of this quest hub, this endeavor did not.

Schlepping is putting it mildly. If you are DC, and blue controls Rayles, Glademist, Brindle, and the Carmala outpost, it will be quicker to use the transit shrines to get to some quest objectives. This only works for DC, since Rayles' transit lines are locked to blue.

The second set of weekly endeavors are available. Comments on those include:
    • The cap is the usual 1-of-3.
    • The reward includes 20 transmute crystals. So make sure that you're at least 20 transmute crystals below maximum when you complete a weekly endeavor.
    • One option is Complete 7 Dungeons. For most players who read these forums, some dungeons -- at least Fungal Grotto 1 and Banished Cells 1 -- are straightforward to solo. Easy dungeons that are pledges this week include FG1 (Wednesday), Darkshade Caverns 1 (Friday), and Wayrest Sewers 1 (Sunday).
    • One option is Complete 5 Battleground Matches. I've never done one of those ...

The third option is Complete 2 Arenas. The only arena I've done is Maelstrom Arena, which I've completed in normal mode on all classes in a magicka spec and 4 in a stamina spec.

Thoughts on normal Maelstrom Arena include:
    • If you haven't done nMA, you should. Maelstrom weapons are good stuff. Also, you get a skill point.
    • Rounds 1-4 are quite easy. So is Round 8. You can pretty safely ignore the mechanics in those rounds, except of course for the boss invulnerabilities in Round 2 and especially Round 8. (In Round 8, if a boss isn't taking damage, that means one of the three obelisks reassembled when you weren't looking,. Attack it.)
    • Round 5-7 mechanics are troublesome even in normal mode. Exception: You may be able to ignore the "Boss is screamng; hide under the bubble" mechanic at the end of Round 7 much as you can ignore the analogous mechanic in Arx Corinium.
    • Round 9 is easy too, even though it's said to be beastly in veteran mode. The mechanic you MUST know there is, in the final fight, how to get to the upper level. (Also, once you're there, attack the three obelisks until they break.). That mechanic is that you stand on a portal until a Clannfear attacks you, and kill it; then the portal will be usable.

    Today's daily endeavors include:
    • Kill 10 Foes with Weapon Abilities. We've discussed this kind of thing before. Just take a build that relies on weapon skills more than class skills, and kill stuff. For example, I've been farming XP by spamming Unstable Wall of Elements.
    • Kill 2 World Bosses. We've discussed this before.
    • Collect 5 Cloth-Producing Plants. If for some reason you can't find them in the wild, doing 2 crafting surveys should suffice.
    • Complete 1 Quest for Vlasturus in Cyrodiil. This is easy or hard depending on whether the griefers are active at the time and in the campaign you want to try. But even when it's easy it requires some loading screens and travel time.
    • I recall most Vlasturus quests as being similar in nature -- travel a bit away from the town, kill one or more enemies, and return.

The fifth option is Escape from Guards 1 Time. Notes on that include:
    • Getting them angry at you is easy to accomplish.
    • They cc and/or slow you, so having cc-break abilities helps a lot.
    • They won't follow you into water, although they will stand on the shore and shoot from range.
    • Of course, if you do this you will get a bounty, so best to do this on a character you're otherwise done playing for that session.
    • Vivec City is a great place for this. Lots of water, and if you do want to run into an Outlaw Refuge to pay off your bounty, one is very accessible there.
    • Of course, running straight into an Outlaw Refuge works too.
