what NPC chararacter do you dislike the most in the game?

I agree with so many of these.

Granted I haven't played much of the game yet since I have a bad Elder Scrolls habit of taking my sweet time with everything, but there are already some characters I know about even if I haven't gotten to them in game yet.

It's nice when characters are well rounded enough that you can hate their character, but love how they fit their mold. What I don't like are the ones that are being propped up as sticks (which usually are your Mary Sues) since they're 'perfect.'

I can't hate Tharn. He's a total [snip], but that's absolutely in character for him and the VA does a great job at being condescending. He's very well done. I even took him with me in the MQ to save Sai over Lyris just because I really wanted to get his snide commentary along the way.

Sun-in-Shadow is another one I can't hate completely - she's a terrible person and deserves a true Telvanni welcome, but it's playhed completely as it's written. She was written to be a ruthless, horrible [snip], which in a way is exactly what a Telvanni should be. But Eoki deserves so much better than her.

But the ones I don't like? The ones who are other peoples' (especially the devs) favorites. The ones who are over-the-top clichés: Sheogorath's way overdone at this point, and his look just doesn't match his personality (also why doesn't he have gold eyes anymore?). I don't think the odd "I'll kill you lol jk!" is a good indicator of his psychosis. Cadwell too, but he's not shoved in your face that much...but he's getting there. And also Rigurt the Stereotype gets on my nerves as well.

And the Mary Sue's drive me up the wall.

I haven't done any of the AD questline yet, but I'm nervous about how many people are saying Ayrenn. Even just looking at a bit of her dialogue on the UESP is concerning, considering how she's all "we need super wonderful equality for all" when the Dominion explicitly is going for Elven superiority. I also don't like how ... different... she is from the Altmer sterotype, considering she's ruling them and they're lore is really about a lot of eugenics - the Altmer honestly make the least sense having a mold breaker as a ruler - and yet she usurped the throne and the only person who doesn't like it is her brother? So every Altmer is now completely okay with non-Altmer? That's more than a bit lore breaking...

Plus the fact that she's the youngest of the three rulers, when she's an elf and the others are human - that really feels a bit sexist in a way in that women have to be young and hot, whereas an Altmer has a lifespan three times the rest, so they've basically got a leader who's basically just a child just so she can be 'younger' than the old Breton dude in his forties. She should definitely be around 120, not 27.

Honestly any storyline that's the obvious 'moral superiority' choice is painful, especially when the others are obviously shades-of-grey where both sides (or just the negatives) are played up whereas any potential negatives of the 'best' are just swept away or outright ignored. I had the same issue with Fallout 4, where the Institute was 'obviously evil,' and they kept bringing in the kidnapping to every quest even if it was unnecessary just so you could always see how evil they were; the Brotherhood was hardcore militaristic, but they made sure to play up a bunch of 'kill synths/ghouls' missions so you could see how racist they were; but the Railroad didn't at all investigate how they'd plan to deal with removing any structures of power in the wasteland or deal with the consequences, they were just the perfect anti-slavers. I felt like a hero finishing for the Brotherhood post game and seeing how they tried to establish order, even if a few of the people were trying to point out bad things and tar the entire faction with that brush. But finishing with the Railroad just made me feel dirty when Des straight up stabbed her contact in the back, had his family killed, and then lied to everyone about it, and then they look at the wasteland with no civilization structure and proclaim success. If i remember, they even straight up say how they don't care about the Commonwealth at all. Skyrim was a little better at making both sides of the Civil War look wrong, but I still feel that the Empire's weakness and existence as a Thalmor puppet were only implied but not really shown, and Tullius' racism could have been played up more to be on par with Galmar's.

It really feels like they're gonna be shilling Ayrenn as the 'obviously good guy,' and that's just bland and boring...especially when the lore states how elitist her entire race is at every opportunity, but they have no problems with her. Based on what people have said so far, it looks like Verandis is also starting to go that way. Pretty much if there's a creator's pet character, I'm probably not going to like them much since they're gonna get shilled and 'conveniently' face no consequences for their negative actions.

There are a lot of Altmers who doesn't like her. Just look at the amount of people in VH. And with very high position in society. But they are bad because author likes Ayrenn.
For me it looks like the author is pushing ones own views (or views that said to be pushed) but has chosen a very wrong persion. She looks extremely stupid with all her "progressivness".

Yeah, that's another thing - the ones who are against Ayrenn aren't just bad for not liking Ayrenn, they're actually horrible Molag Bal worshipping villains all along. It's like the writers are saying "we can't have the opposition be able to make good points, so let's make sure they're all unequivocally evil so nobody will agree with them!"

Kind of makes me wonder how, if the First Aldmeri Dominion was so perfect and pro-equality for all and everyone who opposed it was a heretical Daedra worshipper who everyone would oppose, how did they end up not winning the Three Banners War? And how did they go from a perfectly equal utopia in the 2nd Era to the Thalmor we saw in Skyrim by the beginning of the 4th?

Definitely Abnur Tharn. SPOILER! >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> i'm glad he died.

The next most annoying is that female nord with the ridiculous ear grinding accent. Every time I'm in Windhelm it's "give a nord a helmet and they act all high and mighty - or something like that. It p***es me off so much I have to mute the TV whenever I hear her stupid voice.

King Jorunn or whatever the voice actor did a terrible job had to mute this character during the Ebonheart quests for him in Eastmarch and for the prologue quest sounds like someone with speech problems trying to speak normal while doing a bad Nordic accent. Just trash.

I really love Peter Stormares voice acting.

Whoever that guy is singing in the crafting station in Alinor after you do the delve quest beside the sea. Be glad when summerset event is over to get away from him. When all crafting was done in Craglon it was the guard and guy trying to sell items and get a ride out of town.

Sexist? I think it was supposed to be a positive stereotype ("Strong, adventurous lady who is extremely capable for her age"). I don't find her to be especially sexy or flirty of whatever, either.
And how did they go from a perfectly equal utopia in the 2nd Era to the Thalmor we saw in Skyrim by the beginning of the 4th?

It is no utopia. There is still a lot of discord beneath the surface. You will notice that there are a lot of Altmer who look down on Bosmer and Khajiit an vice versa. (Same goes for the Ebonheart Pact with its almost absurd unity between Nords, Dunmer and Argonians. Yes, I know why and how the Pact was formed, and I know that it won't last).

Also, such things happen in reality, too. Not that we ever had reached total equality or even an utopia here in Europe, but if you compare the political situation, let's say in the 90's and today - it seems to get much worse again.

Stuga, I don't know her yet, but she just keeps pushing me to do the Wrothgar questline. That one is now firmly at the back of the queue..

Almost any Elf NPC Banker/trader that I am forced to interact with, as most of them are condescending at best and overtly racist at worst. I wish there was an option to tell them that I'll tell my good friend the Queen they said that. Seriously, what IS up with that? It doesn't seem to serve any purpose and is becoming a huge turn off for me. I have no other option but to let this slide..

That one Nord dude in Windhelm who keeps complaining about someone having relations with a Dark Elf.. again, racist.

Any NPC that either gets in my way or doesn't keep up and is then like: I halped
When Alyennnah is not here, she's probably crafting. Quite possibly at Alyennah's Crafting in Wayrest. Or maybe she's out there, looking for new materials, recipes and styles to use in crafting. She wants to craft all the things.
