Stage 4 Vampires and transformed Werewolves should be attacked by guards, like Necromancy.

As per the title. The feature that they are bringing with the upcoming patch, that guards attack you when using necromancy in town, should also apply to stage 4 vampirism and transformed werewolves.

I can see transformed werewolves, but I don't know about vampires as you can hide your vampiric appearance with a disguise or a skin, so that would call for more scripting most likely. See, as much as Stendarr is a chad of the Divines, I don't think we could have attack-on-sight vampires...Werewolves maybe, though that might be a pain for dueling players.
Welcome, Moon-and-Star, to this place where destiny is made.

I play healers or DPS often for vet dungeons and trials (NA, CP810+). I play mostly elves or Argonians.
I primarily play Damage-Based stuff in PvP, but occasionally I'll play something tanky or got the heals.
I also love gaining more knowledge both metaphysical and mundane regarding TES lore.

I also occasionally role-play, but I prefer playing the game.

Are they going to attack xivkyn polymorphs and those with zombie, lava, beast and etc skins too?

If no then no deal. :)

    P.S. Coz I can tell a guard: "I'm not a vampire. It's just a heavy goth makeup". ;)

When I first heard about the justice system implementation for Necromancer, this was my first thought as well. I hope they make this change. The mechanics will be in place, so it should be fairly easy to do.

It is a good idea but It’s too late. Vamps and WW have been running around towns for years now and the guards didn’t care, why would they now?

Duelling difficulties is not an argument. In that case it shouldn’t count for necromancers either...

Actually I like this and it is logically consistent, aligning well with the upcomming chapter.

    This really should be implemented.

That’s what I said in the thread on announcement day.

I agree. Using a vamp skill or a werewolf skill needs to alert the guards.

As for dueling, I’ll quote Rich from the stream, “Maybe don’t duel in towns.”

This was my first thought when he gave the excuse for the necromancer "It just fits lore wise" Um well does it fit lore wise for WW's to be running around cities? No it does not. Especially since there is a quest to kill a WW that is within a city.

Well, guards do attack you if you feed in front of them, which would be the equivalent of "using necromancy". I'm on the fence about transformed werewolves. I've never tried to feed in town with a werewolf to see what happens.

Vampires always want to be the exception to game mechanics, seems if it is not the appearance issue then it is something else.

No this is not a coding problem, it is easy actually. To oversimplify:
    IF STAGE 4 = TRUE(1)
    SET HATE = TRUE(1)

    It could be that easy

There is no good reason to not include stage 4 vampires.

Personally, I think if one class triggers new reactions or dialogue from NPCs, they ALL should have that type of functionality. And ideally yeah, extra dialogue based on vamp stages/WW status, guild affiliations, etc.

Right now you get the NPC barks that change with certain quest completions, but that's it, really. I think maybe one quest has special dialogue if you are a vamp?

But that ship probably sailed at...launch.

They should follow the same mechanic as necros - use a skill, get yourself killed.

Yeah it would be more lore friendly and well would be cool to see a werewolf running through a village and NPC reacting rather than just...

I'd support this. Use a vampire skill (or feed) and the guards see through whatever disguise you may have and realize "hey, that guy's a vampire!"

Use a werewolf skill (which would include just being transformed, because werewolf transformation is a werewolf skill) and the guards say "hey, it's a werewolf!"

If they're doing it for necromancers (which I think is a cool idea), I don't see why not for vampires & werewolves. Not just for being a stage 4 vampire, though, because there are all kinds of ways a vampire could disguise themselves well enough that they'd be unlikely to be discovered.

Isn't transfroming into a werewolf the ultimate from the skill line? So this is already covered by saying guards should attack transformed werewolves.

iirc, feeding on a NPC as a vamp and getting witnessed already puts a bounty on you, and if so, vamps and necros are essentially on the same level. Feed and get caught; bounty. Raise the dead in town; bounty.

So transformed werewolves are the only exception atm.

I have a vampire and werewolf character and don't mind at all. The vampire one is a little tricky but at least I'd think about my vampirism level instead of completely ignoring it.

Kind of pointless to do for those not interested in RP. Drink Bloody Mara go to town, leave and spam vampire abilities to get back to stage 4. Im all set. No thank you.

It would be cool for my RP nb vampire but many magplars use vampire for mobility in pvp, I don't think we should suddenly punish those players for their playstyle.

Werewolf would work though, it would add some immersion.
