Greed? Killing ESO? ROFL. Log in and look around. ESO ain't going anywhere anytime soon.

I agree, I read your article and reviewed all your documented evidence of the sudden decline of ESO.
The proof is irrevocable, masses are departing, rats are fleeing the sinking ship.
Quick, everybody leave now before the rush to cancel subscriptions breaks the servers.

So let me get this straight...because of the long lines of people waiting to get in, you've come to the brilliant conclusion that players are quitting?

I like how people think this is a ZOS specific issue when in reality it's an industry issue and this is how MMO's, and Heck even most games, will be in the future.

Heck, people don't even take into account how many hours they've got out of the game compared to non mmo's that cost $60 a pop.

In eso you will EASILY get hundreds of hours worth of game time and still have plenty more left to do.

Non mmo's are considered long off you can get 40 hours worth of content

I've never played the old Morrowind but I like this story so far. I hope if finishes well (so no spoilers!) so I feel a bit like its worth the digital upgrade price to me. No its not an expansion. Its not an expansion though. And it doesn't seem to operate like one of WoW's expansion which really expand the game as well as churn out new raids, dungeons as the story progresses. I don't believe we're getting that here but I don't really know. I just know its not been said in the things I've watched. I did read some silly reasoning why this isn't available to ESO+ that they were afraid people would lose access to their warden characters if they stopped ESP+. I hope that wasn't the excuse.

But all in all, I'm fine with the $40 price tag and I've been complaining about ZOS's pricing for some time now. This one seems okay but only if you're a pre-order.

Even the WoW expansions were typically maybe a new class (every other one) or a new race (again every other one). Then maybe one raid and a couple new dungeons and battleground maybe at the launch of the expansion and their Expansions are 60$ not 40$.

I'm sure though so it was Blizzard it was perfectly acceptable and not greedy at all.

this is where you go sideways, pal
WOW did not had a one raid expansions , never
Their expansions put forward maybe 7-8 raids( sometimes even MORE) WITH AT LEAST 12 DUNGEONS, SPANNED ACROSS THE PATCHES WITHING SAID EXPANSION

Its also not fully voiced... There is a lot of things they skip

I saw this coming from a mile away. I did not buy Morrowind and I will not buy it until it goes on sale like another user said preferably for something like $15. Instead I went back to FFXIV. Wow, content! Mounts and pets I can earn by playing instead of just having to buy everything! Wow! A real MMO experience that lives up to standards that were set over a damn decade ago!

I really considered just swallowing my distaste and plopping down for Morrowind, but no way. I am glad I did not. I knew from playing the beta that people were going to feel cheated. The prevailing sentiment on the PTS private forum was, "That's it?" Sad fact is that they used the Morrowind name and locale to sell people dreams that will never come true.

I have no goodwill towards this company anymore. It is so clear to me that they are taking notes from SW:TOR. In fact, didn't they recently hire someone from the SW:TOR management? Would not be surprised!

I am sure there is content that should have been included with morrowind that will be scretched out along the rest of 2017 and then we will get the same thing in 2018. If you want to justify charging 40 or 60 bucks for a "Chapter" and call it an expansion then add an entire new continent just for end game so veterans have something to do. Stop adding these areas with barely anything to do in them once the story is over.

I think you have no idea how much work designing a detailed world requires with the music, the artwork, the audio, the balancing, the debugging, creation of balanced BGs, creation of a new class, etc. etc. If you feel like ripped of, you should have watched videos or just play something else. I disagree altogether and the expansion is totally worth the 40 €.

There are apologists in all games. Never sure if they're defending the company or actually just attempting to justify their over zealous spending on everything and anything to themselves. I know when I go on the defensive over a purchase when confronted with the wife, I'll throw all sorts of reasons at her. Half I don't believe myself, but sounds good at the time.

Back in the days you didn't have to spent too much resources creating assets or even registering sounds or voices.
Nowadays the games looks really gorgeous. But that comes at a cost. It takes way longer to create assets. Every object have more polygons. Every tree. You even have to paint a single leaf! Back in the days most objects weren't even 3D. Even trees were actually represented by 2D pictures.

Morrowind is just too small for what an expansion pack should offer. Besides the new class, the new PvP arenas and the slightly larger zone than Orsinium, most of the other aspects are on same par. So in theory this is just a slightly larger DLC.

If only it was porting us through Clockwork City, a zone as big as Gold Coast or Thieves Guild, or it was packed with few group dungeons too...

I don't see how it's unreasonable to say all 3 bundled together are more than a DLC.

It is more than a DLC but considering I could get Stormblood (new FFXIV expansion) for the same price (which offers a lot more content)...its a bit of a rip.

Their greed will never kill the game. As long as people keep paying, they will continue doing it.

While it doesn't kill the game directly nonetheless greed does kill a game. It kills its soul. There is a difference when a game is made just to make money (Star Wars Battlefront EA) and a game that's made because you want to bring a world to live (Bloodborne). Greed makes people make rash decisions for the sake of "money now" not weighting the outcome of said decisions, most which tend to take effect on the long run.

When this game released everything felt unique. Compare it to the DLCS released so far, they are a joke (counting out Orsinium which was amazing & Morrowind which is too new to judge) thieves guild and Dark brotherhood are amazing guilds in the Elder Scrolls games. And in this game those 2 feel like they were rushed to quickly put on sale.

So while the game might continue to live on, as an undead version of what it used to be, an empty shell populated with players but lacking a spirit, a dull game where repetitiveness rules and money milking is the law.

I'm not saying sales or DLC should stop. I'm saying they should make them worth of their asking price. Fill them with REAL content and that "AWE" that left us breathless when we first played this game (and Orsinium).

I came from SWTOR. You have no idea what no content is until you go there.

They haven't had a raid released in over two years. Now they are releasing a boss for a new raid every 4 months (which means 20 months for ONE raid). So by the time they are done, it will have been almost 4 years without a raid. That is called taking your customers to the cleaners.

Sorry, but ZOS is putting out quite a bit of content compared to many MMOs. Do they top all MMOs, no. But they are ahead of quite a few on the market.

I guess I am simple to please. Pay them for the game and keep putting out regular content and I am a happy dude.

Your not making a fair comparison at all swtor released 4 times the amount content did in its first three years . Single group and raids. On top of it they had a g ame system that had far far more depth then Eso. The only thing that makes me sad that even a money hungry mismanaged mmo company like EA has done a better job then Zeni at this point. And EA friggin sucks hard ones
Have to say I agree. I have seen EA's business practices up close, and have experienced ZOS become worse and worse over the years. Constantly pushing the boundaries of least amount of effort possible for maximum profit. And m conclusion is also that ZOS is worse at this point. Not by much, but worse still. Their advertising, marketing and language are among the most sneaky and incincere I have seen.

Oh well. Personal preferences, personal expectations involved so of course the opinions are going to differ widely.

I have no interest in the battlegrounds.

I'm not rushing through the content that I've started on three characters now, one "veteran" who completed the Molag Bal/stolen soul/planemeld story, and two new wardens.

So far I'm having a lot of fun just exploring. Found the place that will have a hunger and an ebony helm, and found the place where, in a few thousand years, you can do a quest to get a limited daedric weapon, AND found out that cliffstriders are just as annoying as cliffracers. I'm fairly sure I'll still be having fun when I actually start the quests; Firemoth Island only appeared in an "addon/mod" for the original Morrowind; lots and lots of skeletons.....

Worth the price, for me. I'm glad I bought it.

Best thing with this DLC (Call it like it really is), there's still is no new class skills but just a new class which not all players will gladly want to be. This game has been out for what 3 years or so and still you have the same old class skills like lol? There are plenty of games that add an entire new tree for certain classes let alone new jobs or sub classes, every six months; Yet this game cannot even add new class skills for 3 years.

I'm not buying the DLC because I'd rather save my money as this content adds nothing but a nostalgia rush which ZOS gladly took advantage of to jack the price of the so called 'expansion'. The new trial was a incredible let down especially with the name being called "Halls of fabrication" , I kinda expected a more mystical ruins type of setting but oh well.
I'm sure the DLC will drop in price after a few months but till then, Destiny 2 cannot come any sooner :)

Honestly, if the content amount doesn't meet my expectations I'll likely just not preorder again/order any other 'Chapters' at all. I was fine with paying 40$ for the amount of content they advertised but I keep hearing other people express how disappointed they are in it. I'll make my own opinion when it releases on consoles though.
