Shield Breaker exploiters

So it procs every tick of a channeled resto or lightning staff attack. And it is doing full tooltip damage, ignoring battle level. Unless you are going to have a block breaker, dodge breaker, cloak breaker, etc, this is crap. It's basically free kill set against magicka builds, who really must rely on shields. There are a number of toxic players running around harassing people with this nonsense. Not to mention that Shield Breaker is no longer even justified, because a CP passive was added specifically to counter damage shields. Why is this broken crap still in the game? Sorry I can't dodge every attack, disappear at will, or block all day. The only defense I have is a damage shield.

I swear, the number viable play styles is getting smaller and smaller. I can either run (1) a destro bomb build, (2) a super tank build, or (3) roll a gankblade. That's all that's left. Tanks, bombers, and gankers. No room in pvp for anything well-rounded open world unless you wanna be 1-shot or cheesed down by tryhard jerks. Good fights are hard to find, and too many people seem more interesting in being toxic and causing grief/trolling than having good pvp.

I am not sure what the deal is. I can't remember seeing any shield breaker proc for months. Now it's popping up all over the place. Is it a delayed reaction to the proc set crit nerf? Is it because you can get IC set jewelry now?

Between shield breaker and ravage magicka poison, there is no point trying to have pvp anymore as a magicka build outside of bomb squads. You are just lining yourself up to be zerg/bomber fodder or having crappy fights feeding ap to the toxic cheese players. And I don't see how the potential upcoming nerf to recovery and cost reduction are going to do anything but make these problems worse! I am not even trying to 1vX or anything, just a little zerg serfing or small scale mischief. It's just miserable, especially on the weekends.

I know, this is probably the same group of people that used to have perma hist bark and double mundus stones in previous patches-- "mechanics" they might call it. Just find what's broken the most and abuse the hell out of it. And if you can't do that, you just Xv1 people with some friends. Really sick of the state of the game, right now. Battlegrounds aren't giving me much hope.

Crit surge alone would out heal the 2k damage from shieldbreaker.Plus their is a Cloak breaker it's called any AOE or some single target attacks that go through cloak anyway.

Plus its not exploiting. Its working just like the other sets that buff heavy attack damage (or the Maelstrom Staff).

I do just fine on my magicka sorc btw.

SB is justice in times of unblockable, undodgable curse & fury explosions whereever you go. A multitude of "dodge-breakers", "block-breakers" and "heal-breakers" is already in the game, most of them don`t even require you to waste a 5p slot.

If you find an SB spammer, streak off and slot mutagen. You'll be fine.

Mutagen and surge should outheal the cheese. Kill the SB spammer easy because at the end of the day, he's wearing a *** set that you've countered by running one skill.

It does! But.. It's so easily countered, the rest of the set bonuses are horrible, and it only kills baddie sorcs.

It's a troll set. Most people using it get bored of dying to good sorc players or stamina builds, then they just pick a more tanky stamina set because they're SO damn effective.

well, i guess this is a reaction to all pugs running magsorc easymode atm, sitting in their Group spamming curse on any stamblade in their vicinity and Watch them die being jumped by 10 ppl when curse explodes the 2nd time. So fun trolling with shieldbreaker, u can see the fotm players have no idea what to do when they cant sit in their mines anymore spamming Shields LOL. a good sorc will handle a SB player though. I only use this set in primetime when bad sorcs are all over the place.

Seems there's no limits to what can be considered an exploit in this game - and by making our own definitions we can just label everyone as exploiters and macroers. Love the mentality!

Blame the perma tank, shield, block meta for the proliferation of SB use. 3 out of 4 attacks are blocked, reflected, blocked, etc. SB is the counter, sounds like it's working as intended

Shield breaker is not suppose to proc per tick

Streak is bugged.

You can tell most posters in this thread have PTSD from those naughty magicka builds that touched them in their naughty parts.

You even know what shield breaker does?
Its not a counter to reflects or blocking.....
You use it versus magicka shield stackers.

Its a sad state of affairs in ESO when things are working properly are called bugs and exploits and things that are not working properly is normal.

Shields do not have half the counters most of the abilities in the game do, god forbid they have a laughable hard counter.

How do you know shield breaker is not supposed to proc per ticket? Dual wield heavy attacks proc it twice and I think that is intended.

This comment about Mag played touching naughty parts. Ya i may agree that mag players stacking shields is OP and shield breaker a good counter.

Does a single heavy attack with Lightning or resto staff proc Merciless Resolve? I do believe only DW heavy is intended to proc any LA abilities. I do remember ZoS changing other things as to not proc per tick on a Heavy Lightning or resto Staff attack.

The Surge comment is to the player saying that your Surge should be out healing Shieldbreaker, (just ignore the fact you'd need a crit hit every sec...)

And glad you admit it's a L2P ussue, because WARDS do not do well other than in 1v1 scenarios.

Doesn't sound like an exploit. Sound like... don't cast shields. Streak away and come back with mutagen and combat prayer and with power surge you kill them... dead.
