Well exactly, I don't use proc sets either. Tried them for a while but I am back to Hunding's and NM now.
Going to change it up a bit over the holidays when I have more time.
Point is, people don't like being killed I suppose, haha!

Also snipe has healthdesynct players since way before the game even came out on consolse (and still does).
What you´re describing as lag on the receiving end is exactly the bug. There is no lag. The casted skill from stealth is exactly what´s causing this behavior.
You can't animation cancel snipe, or any other channeled/cast time skill. You can animation cancel the trailing animation at best. Also since the change that came recently (with DB I think?) to animation cancelling, all sounds for skills now play even if block cancelled or swap cancelled. They also jacked up animation cancelling so people get stuck in heavy attacks and other bugs... but that's a different discussion.
Also they nerfed stealth AGES ago - going on a year at this point. You can hear people buffing and using skills/attacks from stealth now. Not only that, but from the same range you can hear a player who's not stealthed. Because of this, I now PVP with headphones and my effects volume jacked up. What you're describing is a lag spike, not animation canceling. You can't animation cancel a cast time or channeled ability, and even instant abilities are limited to a 1 second "GCD" - regardless of the fact that there isn't supposed to be a GCD, it's there and prevents more than a single light/ability/bash within a 1 second window.

I honestly don't know why nb go melee(caugh faith viper, velindteth, widow maker) gank while you can gank people easier with a bow AND have more time to run from angry comrades who want to avenge their buddies. Also if well positioned while defending in most cases you can gank over and over again from the same position without them having a clue where you are....
Also it offers more utility(i Love when People think im helpless at Close Range and get XD
The only Thing which is more difficult is the Positioning and Timing

I see you heavy attack weaving with dizzying swing... You're not bypassing the cast time of the ability.
You are not animation cancelling that Wrecking Blow. You are weaving a heavy, which for some reason bugs out, and shows the full animation of your heavy, instead of the windup to the WB. The cast time is still there. It is very possible that your opponent was seeing the windup as well.
Also, punctuation is a thing.
