Destro staff ultimate bugged in pvp?

When I try to put seige down in pvp with a fully charged destro staff ultimate, instead of the seige going down, the destro staff ultimate goes off. This even occurs if I bar swap before putting the seige down.

Is this the case for anyone else or just me?

Destro ult is bugged. After using the ult, it also messes up the targeting recticle for liquid lightning as well.

Not only does the ult cost too much, but ZOS clearly didn't care enough to put this through basic play testing.

PS: nobody has reported this until now, because nobody else uses it..

But hey, all of the new stam ultimates and damage proc sets work GREAT!

Every group I've fought in IC has had at least one guy w/ destro staff ult. Fire staff ult + Grothdarr proc = GG for vamps in 2-3 sec.

So we can get another free untested 15% buff to it. See how high we can get the damage before Wrobel does his job properly.

You mean untested damage, like the viper, widow, and velidreth sets all together?

Yeah that was 'tested' all right. All anyone ever asked for with this ultimate is a cost in line with meteor. As it stands, it's one of the most expensive in the game.

Stay classy stam guys, even with a buff this ultimate still won't be as good as dawnbreaker. Calm down.

Lol you have no idea. Destro Ultimate is amazing for AvA, just put on some Skoria and VD and corner a big group. Its like carpet bombing, just sick.

Edit: Didn't run into any issues with either morph. Prefer the ranged one though.

I'm in love with the ice version right now, players don't seem to have figured out you can dodge roll out of it yet, so they just stand rooted in it while they die. Also when testing it with a friend it seems it needs 2 dodge rolls to leave the aoe, so it's super expensive for enemy stam

Edit: on topic; I haven't noticed any bugs with it yet and was using siege with it fully charged yesterday. Will report back if I notice any.

It is good whenever you want to shut down an area completely. It can be used like a negate but it actually is even better. It's more or less like a faster ticking ranged flaming oil that ignores 10% armor, returns 3.6k magicka on every kill and, when done with a sorcs lightning staff, procs disintegrate.

It can be used to force groups to retreat immediately and if used simultaneously by two players just extinguishes all life on breaches or flags.

I plan to try that morph but started with the static morph first cos the status effects seemed too strong to pass up. I imagine the eye morph to just be like a chilly/wet bats lol

Playing in pve with it now. Like eye for my more melee dk or even mr sappy nightblade but will use other one for sorc especially with disintegrate proc.

I dunno about this. It's been used against me several times and I just walked out of it.

Will be good in close quarters like defending the south door of sej or any breach of an inner wall at a keep if there are caltrops down, oils above.

I dunno about this. It's been used against me several times and I just walked out of it.

If they use the morph that follows them, you can not get away from it. You are forced to take the full channel, and I am pretty sure it is unblockable. It is a disgusting skill to me be zerged by.

Its is really any ability until you swap bars or spam the ability. I am using this ability on several alts that are different classes and it is a pain to start weaving after dropping it.

Eye of the storm will be the main ultimate for pvp groups in 1 month. It's the best ultimate in the game by far.

Its unblockable and as Sanct said probably the best Ult to go with soon - stamina pretty much RIP besides solo play.

Yeah, thats why I compared it to negate. It's a "reposition or die" Ultimate with a big radius. If you cannot reposition because you are rooted (e.g. ice morph + talons), surrounded or because if you reposition you loose the keep, you will probably die within. I drop it on flags and breaches, then spam mages wrath inside or (if wearing Skoria) just heavy lightning attacks.

Its main use is to create a no-go area, especially in group fights. Of course a delayed and telegraphed AOE Ult is not useful in a 1 on 1 open field. Although it stops the tree and rock huggers from making love to this specific object.

Lol that is what I was afraid of. PvP groups synchronizing this ultimate will be devastating. Imagine 6-8 players using it at the same time (6*4k (average damage)) it will be 24k unblockable damage per second.

Everyone now has a reason to pick up that destro staff, since Stam has become the meta of meta's, it now has a challenger. It will take time, but the new emerging meta will be magic sorcs tossing out negates and destro ulti's. Oh I can't wait to see this in PVP. It will become hilarious as players die to lighting, negates, and yes of course you guessed it..... lag......

Am I glad for this. Absolutely. Its high time for change from the stam stam stam meta.

So in heavy armor without any natural armor based spell damage buff, I'm hitting single target upwards of 15-25K against people even in heavy armor. Against medium or light that's upwards of 25-30K. If you're a stamina build in medium armor, might as well just toss in the towel. If you can't kill the magicka build before he ults, you're almost guaranteed dead.

At most you can survive maybe one of these ults if the person using it messes the combo up. But surviving it means burning a lot of resources, and the second ult will kill you any way.

Magikca builds can survive better due to shields and maybe mist form. But I still haven't fought a magicka build that can survive, or even used mist.

When your target is at a good burst range 50% HP.

NB -> eye of the storm -> cripple for root to force a dodge -> fear -> merciless resolve arrow proc -> swallow soul & light attack rotation. Impale is just overkill at this point.

Sorc -> lightning eye of the storm -> frag proc -> wrath -> shock rotation -> disintegrate / implosion is just overkill at this point. Optional is your class based root before the frag, and if this is done as or after someone hits your mines gg.

DK -> eye of the storm -> talons -> fossilize -> whip gg.

Templar -> solar flare -> eye of the storm -> vampire drain -> sweeps -> jesus beam. Burning light is just overkill, gg.

Congrats magicka builds, you can now kill stamina builds. If you can't guarantee kill a stamina build with the above, especially one in medium armor idk what to tell you.

But everyone told me on the PTS that Eye of the Storm was just a more expensive Batswarm and nobody would ever use it. I love the kneejerk reactions before testing from this community.
