imho magicka templars were incredible in DB, but already incredibly close to the stam crew. now, velidreth just tipped it in favor of the stam boys (even those not wearing it benefit form me having to worry about it and account for it in my playstyle). honestly though, i consider most stam builds relatively close together. mag sorc and dk are just not too sexy right now (except that negate is still king of zerg v zerg)

It's a very broad question, a mag dk is great for a 1v1 but terrible for a 1vX , decent in small groups and terrible solo.

But you can't really say what is good 'overall' because whats good in one is terrible in others, do we put more value in 1v1 or 1vx over small group?

Stam nb is pretty much good at everything

Mag templar is pretty much good at everything, doesn't have much mobility solo but makes up for it with insane heals and being very strong small group or a zerg.

Stam sorc , highest mobility in the game, very good open world, good 1vX, solo, small group etc... in duels vs a good player they will be bashed when dark dealing. But overall very nice.

Stam templar, good at everything pretty much, only real problem is jabs is annoying to land and can be dodged rolled while sweeps can't.

Stam dk, good in 1v1's and small scale, not very good in open world as every other stam class and some magicka classes are just better.

Mag dk, good 1v1's. terrible open world solo/1vX , good in groups, good in zergs etc... Has some problems though with it's damage and some skills being useless with some passives.

Mag sorc - Tricky to play now and only good players can do very well on it, shields are still strong, has a melee counter via mines, good 1v1's, open world, 1vx etc... , works in a group but doesn't bring much utility apart from negate, though negate is a much for balls group or any large scale pvp.

Mag nb - Can work in open world, isn't a good as it used to be, bomber build are still around but i really don't consider them proper 'pvp' builds. Are really squishy but have high mobility via cloak/shade. Can 1v1 effectively, can 1vX, nice it groups via aoe cc, aoe burst.

Take your pick i guess.

Nightblades might not be the best at everything but overall are great or good enough at everything.

For pvp nightblades are best at quick kills. Gives players the illusion of superiority using that class.

In terms of solo play stam is in general far better than magicka due to high mobility, stupid high burst, better survivability when played by a really good player, and far better sets available. Magicka setups can be nearly as effective though if wearing specifically heavy armour and something like Malubeth, and even though they may not be as good for solo play, they are incredible in small group. Can't speak for large group as I've never tried.

From my experience, light armour magicka on all classes is still bottom of the food chain, although this isn't quite as bad on non-CP campaigns, where stam isn't as broken.

I'd say it's a tie between stamplars and stamblades. The high-burst damage armor sets synergize so well with the nightblade toolkit they can pull off insane burst, but stamplars still have high damage + utility going for them.

I've seen stamina nightblades burst me down in less then 2 secs even when I was wearing 5 pieces of impend, 25k health, 32000 to 34000 spell and physical resistances, with a little over 2000 crit resis. So yeah I'll give the vote to Stamblade since it hasn't happened on just one or two instances but many. In my opinion Stamina Nightblades just have way too much burst.

The magblade pain is real. I feel like free AP for everything else. Magblades are so squishy. I need to use shields but then I got no damage. Stam has great heals, great damage, and more armor and resist.

On a side note, why couldn't @ZOS_RichLambert play a magblade instead of a magplar? Impale would be a autokill switch like the Jeebus Beam.

Also, I see magicka Sorcs doing the same tank and spank stuff they've always done. I don't get why people think they're so bad. Maybe there are just great players, but magsorcs doesn't seem as gimped as people say.

Stamsorc, Magplar and Stamdk not far behind.
Magsorc, MagNB & Mag DK are not as far behind as people want to believe, but there certainly is a gap compared to the upper positions.
