I'm sorry guys I am kind of a noob to the whole PvP but how do I actually go about doing it as I only know how to quest and explore and I do see players fighting each other.
LOL, you all are going to get this poor guy killed, and killed, and killed, to the point that they'll never log on to ESO again, much less PvP ever again.
@slavaken my advise is this;
1) Do the alliance war quests first, learning the siege engines, etc. This will get you a few skill points, you'll learn siege engines, and you'll gain a level or two in alliance war skills.
2) Find a good PvP guild that helps newer players learn PvP. There are several good ones. Run with them for awhile, you'll learn how to PvP and you'll pick up AP so you can improve your alliance skills.
3) If there's no guild mates around, just look at the map and go to where ever a keep is being attacked, and defend it. You'll gain AP for defense and gain experience fighting other players.
Look up online "how to PvP in ESO" for guides to see what skill sets you'll want to in PvP. Some skills in PvE are useless in PvP and some skills are only useful in PvP. Note, you will die a lot in PvP, either you'll get use to it or you won't PvP for long. After awhile with practice, you'll die less.
Hope this helps some.
"We have found a cave, but I don't think there are warm fires and friendly faces inside."
Yea rule #1 everyone dies all the time for the most BS reasons. A lot of the time (at least with sorc, which there is no room for error) its weapon swap/skills that wont fire off that gets you killed.
Another important aspect is be a good sport. A lot of people like to talk crap because they think being good at this game makes them a bigger person in real life. Also, too many immature grown adults that lead groups cry and moan in TS because you or someone isnt up to par to their standards of what they think you should be, when you're trying to learn. Dont let them get to you, they end up quitting ESO when they run out of friends.
Other than that, figure out what works best for your race and class by researching on google. Learning builds, skill setups etc. Animation cancelling (its cheap, but everyone does it) helps too.

Pvp can be super fun, but it's hard to offer just broad advice without specific questions. I have an aldmeri ps4 NA "leveling guild". We help new players, and we try to pvp regularly on Sunday afternoons. Shoot me a PSN mssg if you want an invite...happy to have a noobie group up and we can explain the game.
But otherwise, start by going to friendly keeps under attack. Attack from the walls. Learn to siege. Turn combat text on so you can get an idea of damage and how it all works. Join a group and run with them. Just tell them you're totally new, amd most group leaders are cool letting you know what's going on.
Roll stamina, any class. Spam execute on anything that moves and hope everyone around you deals enough damage to get it to execute range.
Roll magicka, preferably Magsorc, Magplar or Mageblade. Spam class execute on anything that moves and hope everyone around you deals enough damage to get it to execute range.
You need to do some duels with your friends of various classes (stamina/magicka), know other classes weakness, try in areas where there are seiges and zerg battles , then based on it you will have to change your gear.
Most importantly, to be a good player have TeamSpeak active for 24/7.(No one is good without this.)
thanks guys this is great stuff, I am just waiting for my really slow internet to finish the update for the game and then I will be back on. Hopefully tonight. yeah I only get 1.12gb internet so everything takes a long time
Just go into Cyrodiil and find a group. Play with them whenever you get on to get a grasp of seige, map taking strategies, 1v1 mechanics, etc..
You'll get rekt a lot. Even when you're a good player you'll it'll happen, sometimes just because they got lucky so don't get discouraged.

Insanity is the price of Knowledge. Herma-Mora and Sheogorath, this one bows before thee.
This one does not advocate for any class to be nerfed. There are far deeper underlying issues then a simple "Class Imbalance". The Champion System is the problem. Not classes.
It takes a lot of dying before you start winning some battles. And even then you will still die. Finding a good group to play with is nice. Always carry siege, wall repair kits. Lay them down where the group is sieging. Don't be the first *** to run through the wall when it goes down. You will die. I spent a lot of time in IC and the sewers. Its a great place to work on you PVP. You can get some 1v1 opportunities just roaming around.
How to PvP:
Step 1: Go out there with your build and try to kill stuff and not get killed
Step 2: From step 1 you can go 2 ways:
A) You never die, congrats your build is great but the rest of community thinks your gear/class/skills etc shall be nerfed You die alot, and if you´re (i hope not) pug you rant about how broken other people´s gear/class/skills etc are, and you also states that their class/skill/gear etc is broken but without any evidence besides some old forumpost (which also is just a rant).
Step 3 (if you are a decent functional human and not a ranting pug):
A) If dying alot, change your skills/gear playstyle etc and try to find out flaws in your own gameplay. See step 2a
