    Because in their eyes the issues are fixed. When was the last time the devs responded or posted in a PvP thread other than to say they deleted some posts due to naming and shaming or locking a thread.

    Gosh I can't remember. Cyrodiil is the thing you ignore and hope it goes away.

    It's been 6 months since a Dev posted in this thread and we still have infinite loading screens, lag spikes, regular server crashes.

    @ZOS_BrianWheeler do you even work here anymore?

    Short answer is DKs likely won't be seeing a ton of changes before we go live; this class is still quite powerful (as it should be being a tank), even after some of the adjustments we've made to other classes and abilities.

    The percentage of players who read the Alliance War section of the forums is probably very small compared to the active players base, the reason why they don't care at all to employ a few extra moderators to give news from time to time. And by "time to time", I mean anything in between once every week to once every 6months.

    Yes, crown crates getting updated once every week or two is definitely the right approach. Rewarding hardcore pvp players for their persistent devotion and knowledges of the game is a nay nay.

    On the other side, let's give fancy titles, skins and what not to everyone who complete the veteran trials because pvp is nothing compared to pve endgame. Makes sense.

    On top of all of that, let's make sure to *** off the pvpers even more by releasing a RNG system for crown crates that make you waste hundred of dollars without getting anything special, then lets give them an option to scrap their worthless items into gems that allow you to buy the fancy stuff for 400gems, again, forcing hardcore pvpers with bad luck to spend hundred of dollars into the game to be able to get any kind of rare reward.

    • Fix Volendrung (spawn location - weapon white on the map causing the wielder to keep it forever - usable with emperorship)
    • Remove / Change CPs System, remove current CP/noCP campaigns and introduce one 30days with lock, one with no locks
    • Fix crashes when approaching a keep under attack because of bad / wrong rendering prioritization system
    • Change emperorship to value faction score points and not alliance points - see this and this
    • Fix long loading screens (mostly caused by players joining group out of rendering range)
    • Add 2 more quickslots to the wheel or add a different wheel for sieges weaponry only
    • Fix Balista Bolts not dealing damage on walls or doors if deployed at a certain place
    • Release bigger battlegrounds with 8 to 16 players per team and only two teams
    • Fix the permanent block animation - see examples : link1 link2 link3 link4 link5
    • Gives players 10 minutes to get back into Cyrodiil after relogging / crashing
    • Add a function to ignore the Claiming system of useless rewards
    • Improve the Mailing System / Rewards of the Worthy stacking

    I think one of the reasons why they dont communicate often to us is the harrassement against the developers over the years.

    A little example: How often are they called liars, because they spoke about their ideas and fix tries and later it was not implemented or lags are not better?


    The devs are humans too and this going into the substance of them. So i think they consider 2 times or more about a post in this forum. So why should i post as dev here and i know the peoples will harass me. No, thank you. The only reason why they post the last year here is that the company said they must.


    So... Think all about that. If you are good to the devs, they are good to you too.

    They are human, and I assume adults as well. If there is no back and forth about game issues, what purpose does the forum serve? Merely for players to vent to and with each other?

    I think everyone here recognizes that the direction of the game is in the hands of the development team (or, to all appearances, the marketing team) but when players ask for clarification or an explanation of any aspect of the game they're met with silence....constantly.
    There is rarely any feedback from ZOS, and so here we sit. Every time there is even a peep from Mods about something other than chastising language or otherwise breaking forum etiquette the whole forum lights up with applause in a very "thank you sir, may I have another?" fashion.
    We are also human, and occasionally adults, and the constant neglect and overall poor customer service wears on us after a few years...so yeah, we get a little punchy from time to time. If the mods can't handle that and still manage to relay information to their customers in a professional manner, they're in the wrong line of work.

    I don't disagree with what you say, but I'm tired of being nice. Frankly, it's THEIR game that is broken. They designed it...in spots it's broken...badly. They come on the forums once and say something and then rarely, if ever, follow-up. They tell us to submit bug reports all over the place. We submit them and hear nothing back and the problems persist. That's the frustration. This game is AMAZING and it's potential is limitless. However, the monetization is clouding performance (at least on console) and it is frustrating those players who are trying to support the game. I agree being nice should be the first, second, and maybe third response, but I'm tired now of kissing ass.

    I used to think that way for a long time, until I realized that the devs are just being held by their superiors from fixing the game because of the lack of ressources and the time it would take to go back to the source of the problem. The code is so badly designed that to fix something that seem simple for us is in reality alot of "digging in" for them and they risk to break even more stuff in the meantime like we saw in the past.

    So obviously, devs won't come here saying "hey I would love to fix the game but my superiors haven't given me enough ressources to do it". They simply ignore it, move forward and make sure that pve-ers (the majority of players) are happy and crowns get purchased so they can work on new houses and fancy stuff.

    So the original post was 2015. I think its pretty clear at this point, its not happening. If you think it is, then its really on you.

    So ya, if your on the cp campaign, and your zerg surfing and expecting good ping and frame rate you have an internal issue with expectations. ZOS isnt fixing it, if they could they would have years ago.

    Plan accordingly.

    Bump. Problem not solved and was a disappointment during pvp mid year event. What we doing about it @ZOS_BrianWheeler ? Seriously, how do you guys advertise for a pvp event with the performance as bad as it is under load? Are you trying to kill your own game? showing new players how cool your game is along with terrible performance is not the way to attract new players. If this was a stress test you've prooved nothing. It's still as bad as the last event. I guess cutting corners to save a buck in development doesn't pay off, eh Matt firor?

    Leave him working??? They haven't fixed this while it's going on for almost 2 years! I rather thing they are incompetent and just don't know how to fix the mess they created: NPC guards in Cyrodill having more skills then intended, constant lag and loading screens, animation cancelling (which was not intended). They just don't have a clue what to do about it. Insteed they keep launching new dye's, skins and mounts: that's their actual level they can handle.

    ZOS does work very hard to keep the servers stable. I dont think you really understand the processing and storage needed to run something like pvp. lots of moving parts. there is no one specific problem.

    I don't think you realize that this problem has been present since the game launched and to have no significant changes made to improve performance in that time warrants everyone's criticism.

    You're the one not (willing?) to understand it. I don't care the performance team is not the same as cosmetics: it still is ZOS!
    BTW I don't have to understand the processing and storage needs, I bought this game so I believe I can expect after a period of 2 years their servers could finally handle all interactions.

    Do I need to remind you Brain already acknowledged these performance issues early 2016 with his 'what's coming this year' and said that they are looking into this problem. The only thing they are looking into is how to make more money with no effort at all!

    Wake up and stop saying ZOS works hard: in any other normal company you would be fired if you still had the same problems after all these years. ZOS has no clue how to resolve it!

    However...

    I'm kind to the developers by paying a proportion of their salaries by paying my subscription fee to the company employing them. I haven't got an actual issue with the day to day developers. I have an issue with management and whoever is responsible for the cash cow called ESO...

    Something is broken higher up the tree and the people on the ground maintaining the game on a day-to-day basis are powerless to improve things.

    Running optimal code with thousands of concurrent connections will never equate to a smooth lag-free experience if the servers are unable to handle what's been thrown at them. Phat monstrous servers are never able to be phat monstrous servers if they're trying to run non-optimal and inefficient code.

    Optimal code can only go so far. OP servers can only go so far.

    And we, the players, the payers are left in between trying to justify why we keep playing and paying.

    its not a matter of what im willing to do or not. I just think its frankly, quite silly to think zos does not care about the performance in cyrodiil. they do, and im sticking to that.

    ZOS does work very hard to keep the servers stable. I dont think you really understand the processing and storage needed to run something like pvp. lots of moving parts. there is no one specific problem.

    You're the one not (willing?) to understand it. I don't care the performance team is not the same as cosmetics: it still is ZOS!
    BTW I don't have to understand the processing and storage needs, I bought this game so I believe I can expect after a period of 2 years their servers could finally handle all interactions.

    Do I need to remind you Brain already acknowledged these performance issues early 2016 with his 'what's coming this year' and said that they are looking into this problem. The only thing they are looking into is how to make more money with no effort at all!

    Wake up and stop saying ZOS works hard: in any other normal company you would be fired if you still had the same problems after all these years. ZOS has no clue how to resolve it!

    its not a matter of what im willing to do or not. I just think its frankly, quite silly to think zos does not care about the performance in cyrodiil. they do, and im sticking to that.

    They only care if $$$ are involved. I'm pretty sure they have performed a cost benefits analysis and realized it's not worth fixing because their $$$ playerbase is pve and people buying crown items. Remember, cyrodil is free beyond base game cost and anyone who plays this game to only cyrodil pvp is doing so for free at no added costs. They have no incentive to fix cyrodil because it isn't affecting their bottom line.

    Pve players knowing damn well cyrodil performance is still broke. They trying to draw more people to cyrodil without fixing the problems.
