Do you or do you not play a nightblade?

Just curious about the nightblade population on the forums.

I always play a sneaky character in Elder Scrolls games so yeah.

Only one toon as well.

I do know that more than half of the current Nightblade population are just flavor of the month bandwagoners though.

Yes it's my main and always have been. NB was my very first rolled character ever since I started playing the game. Was tired of playing as a mage in every other RPG I played, wanted something different. I didn't realize so many people were going to hate on the NB.

I've historically played my NB and templar the most, since start of ESO. Among all my chars, they're the closest ones to mains, higher PvP ranks and so on.

But since 2.1 I rarely play my NB. There's to damn many of them in PvP. Feels like 90% of the PvP population is a NB. Also, the guilds and groups I play with needs a decent setup in PvP, meaning someone needs to log of their fricken' NB and come heal or Negate.

My main is a magicka dk changed to stamina due to all the blanket nerfs to it. But I can kinda do everything on my nb better than on my dk. So I'm kinda spending more time with my nightblade lately.

Well I use batswarm on both my dk (situational leap) and my nightblade. And batswarm kinda works better with nightblades as well. So yeah.

Dk's that use batswarm amuse me. You have 2 great ultimates (3 if you're a stam dk) and instead you opt for a fairly bland batswarm, as an ultimate it's about on part with soul tether minus the cc. It's not 1.5 anymore. For realsies.

I played casually back then, so I'm not still living the dream of 1.5.

Still, I do not find the DKs ultimate to be useful except for leap because of it's high burst damage as a physical ultimate. Standard? Not worth it with the highest cost only second to werewolf (outside of the sewers or for group stuff at least sometimes). Magma shell? Arguably. Still a much higher cost than devouring batswarm. Plus the fact that I get 10% increased stam and magicka regen from slotting batswarm. So no matter what, batswarm wins in my opinion. But hey, that's just me.

Another option would be nice:

Have a NB and has ALWAYS been your main.

I rolled NB when it launched on PS4. Only recently started lvling a Sorc. I always played the Rogue-ish toons in online games.

Vah Shir Rogue in Everquest - 3 years
Thief in Ragnarok and Maple Story - 1 year
Nightelf Rogue in World of Warcraft - 5 years
Gadget DPS in DC Universe Online - 1.5 years off and on
Stealther in Defiance - 1 year

The third option is fairly neutral.

Should be pretty cut and dry though in terms of answers, you either have one or you don't.

I normally main a S+B DK, but sometimes it's nice to log Nightblade and actually kill things before they can run.

yes i have a nb because in pvp it is just op, as with my sorcerer. In pve i play a stamplar, very good for sustain dps.

I never play stealthy characters, I find them cheap and pure cheese in every online game I have ever played.

I do not like sthealthy characters in MMOs but in ESO PVP we don't really have choice : nb or sorcerer... Unfortunatly

I'm a Nightblade tank, so I'm pretty sure I don't fall under the Nightblade faceroll StamDPS ganker squad everyone is always complaining about. I couldn't kill a kwama scrib in a fair fight, let alone anyone in PvP. I'll just distract you and let my friends do the work.

I just made a magicka night blade they are tougher to play than I had anticipated. Thinking I should have went stamina though for rally vigor heal. Not turning back now anyways almost vr 1

I would say slightly less than other characters... right now I'm more focused on DK characters for some reason. I kind of rotate.

retired my nb since 1.5 and the chang of my favourite abilitys into stamina abilitys

A nb was my second character (templar being my first). I only got him to level 40 and didn't enjoy the "shoot from the shadows" and "shoot, I got hit once.. RUN" playstyles. So I leveled a dk and haven't played anything since.

Judging by your activity in everything "nerf cloak" related I cant help but think that this is more of a "troll poll" to somehow analyze or prove that the majority of players on these forums are in fact nightblades who we all know are responsible for spreading vicious lies about how cloak is not overpowered and also eating peoples babies. The other perspective could be to prove that nightblades are overpowered because according to this statistically insignificant poll everyone has one. The truth is out there.

If the majority of players play a nightblade as either their main or one of their significant characters, it does stand to reason that the forum is biased in favor of cloak and/or that nightblades are currently the favored fotm. Currently 68% of players polled are active nightblades.

Just because you dont like the results of the poll doesn't make then statistically insignificant.

I was just commenting on the hidden agenda, I am indifferent to the results of the poll because 102 players is in fact an insignificant number when compared to the eso gaming community as a whole, just keep that in mind when you go back to your "nerf cloak" forums, it wont serve as accurate data to back up the continued whine fest the subject has become. I can however suggest this forum as it seems this guy knows what he's talking about:

At the very least it brings a different perspective to the table which imo has more validity based on my own experience.
