How long will ZOS let Dawnbreaker exploiting run rampant?

Isn't it a little ironic that the biggest Fear spammer on the European server is calling people exploiters for using a broken skill?

How is it "broken"? In mtg "broken" was reffering cards that were powerful but not breaking rules.

To me its broken if there is a glitch, like it says 1000 dmg but deals 100 damage.

If its a better ability its just that good. No abilities are equal persay. I read this is broken, NBs broken, templar broken, sorc is broken.

Just seems like things are good.

Of course there will be things uber good against vamps, there would be no trade off without a draw back. (Ur a creature of the night and historically speaking one good guy kills many vamps, hello blade or hellsing.)

I like power, either against me or for me, I would hate to see the game become bland because everyone is complaining about every ability and category

well, personally I have a hard time calling the straight up use of an ability an "exploit".

That said, dawnbreaker of smiting is currently clearly bugged, and needs fixing
Isn't The definition of "exploit" the abuse of a game mechanic that has an unintended or bugged effect?

By that standard, flat out using a bugged ability is an exploit. Sadly, this is usually tolerated in this game.

Because the game would be unplayable otherwise.

So I am a sorcerer, what ultimate do you want me to use since people will b**** at me for slotting meteor and I'm a hack for using Dawnbreaker? The useless atrnoach? The nerfed-to-the-ground negate? Overload which can't hit all the perma-dodge rollers?

Was I not supposed to use fire trebs because the first DoT ticked immediately? It is the only tool in the game designed to counter enemy siege weapons on top of castle ramparts.

How exactly is the use of nirn supposed to be police and not tolerated?

A DK without flame lash in the 1.6 environment where it's burst or die?

It is ZoS's responsibility to provide us with a functioning and balanced game. Not my responsibility to run a gimped build and compete against the many players who do not measure up to your standards of what is good sportsmanship.
@Joy_Division I am with you. Many of the design choices are half thought through only. I slot meteor on my sorc as well and I have dawnbreaker slotted on my nightblade. If you have only lesser suitable choices otherwise, you take the best one irrespective of this.

But I would never go on the forums and post useless things like

Postulate: People defending 1 shot abilities cannot be taken seriously.

    Discuss.
You are getting one-shot by dawnbreaker? Rethink your build and L2P.
This makes one look like a poor sod who is unable to survive without exploits and desperately tries to defend what little chance of success they have. Hence, I cannot take those serious.
Why would i use it? I get much more damage by spamming Jabs over and over again. The weapon damage bonus is the only reason i even slot it.
Also, i never said that the instant DOT tick should not be fixed...
And again, if you are being one shot by this ability, i think its time for you to rethink your build.

How is fear broken if I may ask?

You probably talking about CC-break acting out? That has happend to me multiple times from:
    Wrecking blow
    Petrify
    CF knockdown
    Leap/Take flight

etc etc. Its the cc break thats the issue. Fear works normally most of the times, and most of my opponents break it without issues (except when bugging out or heavy lag, but what works then?)

Stop crying about the only skill that can force you to drop your permablock ;)

For someone who's constantly crying out double standards in the Campaigns forum you sure are full of them. Even when Fear made people fall through the ground half the time you didn't stop.

Reading comprehension? The text of the original post clearly indicates it's about people jumping onto the bandwagon because it's a broken ability.
