so whats the exploit? Dot dmg somewhat instant after the initial dmg? Or you can cancel the animation?
The only prob is that youre vamp. Dawnbreaker against non vamp is about 6-9 k . nothing special in 1.6 time. But against Vamp 12-16k. sure the dot tick comes fast but who cares about a 2k dot tick against vamp ?!
Cure vamp and see if its still an exploit for you...
And your argument about everyone is using it now. Of course. At first there was a thread about the DMG. More ppl using it ...more ppl died to it...more ppl using it theirself...vid about dawnbreaker etc
Its a gold ulti against non Vamp and the best ulti against Vamp
But maybe you mean a bug i dont know
the dot is increased in the same way the base dmg is, when i die to smite i have the 12-18k innitial hit + 9-12k dot dmg and the first two ticks are by far to fast (first tick instant second tick after one second third after 3 sec)
Yesterday 15k crit against Vamp with 2k uncrit dot tick...so not rly 9k dot

From what he said it's obvious he meant the full damage of the DoT.
If you crit a vamp for 15k as a NB, that would mean non crit of ~9.7k, not considering other sources of crit damage increase/reduction.
That would be over 20% damage increase on the initial hit plus the same only one second later (if what @Tankqull said is true).

No offense but you use bugged skills daily aswell : teleport strike & concealed weapon. Both which had been said by ZOS is not working as intended. And all the dks spamming undodgeable whip.
Also on topic: will probably take a while , since its ZOS.
Ps: I also hate it even if I have used it myself
I did not purposefully started using Concealed Weapon because it's broken. Just like a lot of people were already using Dawnbreaker without realizing it's broken.Master_Kas wrote: »Lava_Croft wrote: »The problem here is not that there are bugged skills. Well do you not use concealed weapon/teleport strike vs rollerbuilds ? That is purposefully using them when they are bugged. Same as all with dawnbreaker
Hate both of them don't get me wrong. And does this come as a surprise to you? 95% in this game do whatever it takes to kill/ "win". We can only hope for a quick fix (so the dot doesn't come all at once with the initial damage.

The thread is about the people who start using Dawnbreaker because it is bugged. About the people who will start using something just because it is broken and they know this broken state will give them an advantage. People here can keep pretending like it's just 'normal' for this to happen, but I think it's poison. Poison that is allowed to persist in ESO because bugs are not fixed and the unfixed bugs are freely exploitable without any repercussions whatsoever.
If you play this game without intentionally exploiting, you are punished. If you play this game while intentionally exploiting, you get rewarded.
Don't bother. Users will be users and defend their game to death. Same "waste" with animation cancelling, macros, 25k proximity builds, blobbing, lagsploiting and all the other stuff. I only laugh at their ad hominem "arguments".Lava_Croft wrote: »Yeah, it's probably just a coincidence that the usage of Dawnbreaker has exploded the last few weeks. Probably.

I was wondering about this. I got one hit by it and killed instantly a few times last night. I am a templar vamp... I guess we'll just never get a break. Seems like every exploit/bug works against magicka templar builds.
It's broken. The instant damage and the damage over time hit at basically the same moment. Don't bother with people claiming it's working as intended.I was wondering about this. I've got an idea lets start a nerf thread for vamps seems that vamps have a nerf QQ thread about everything effective against them.
Devouring swarm - Movable high dmg aoe which can't be blocked and literally makes the caster invunerable while it's up and allows them to still attack normally.
Elusive mist - wish i had a run away skill that let me regen while in use.
10% magicka + stamina ?!?! ww only has a 15% stat regen, nerf to 7.5% each.

yet you know the majority of the game is fire? yet you still use it for pve or such?. You gain a lot of benefits to outway that loss as well.

actually i dont get to see much of the PvE content, to far behind on CP, got left in the dust and well with the fact i'v considered going WW so many times because of the free passive+murder mode, i would but i like my vampire abilites even tho only 2 are really any good, majority of the passives are crud and fire just hurts, but i enjoy the abilities regardless because they look good. if i actually do PvP or DSA, i throw them off my bar.
but you dont have to transform to get one of the biggest passive boosts nor do you suffer the weakness.leepalmer95 wrote: »leepalmer95 wrote: »we dont regen.leepalmer95 wrote: »All i see on this forums is vamps QQ ing, like that didn't know these skills do more dmg to them a lot of pve and pvp is fire dmg.

ww is terrible though, even in pve/pvp you can do more dmg + have higher survivability when your not transformed.

Players exploit, not ZOS nor ESO. However, ZOS' apathy absolutely plays a part.I'm not familiar with the skill enough to really comment but I would say there isn't much merit in putting this on the players shoulders. In any PvP environment (or PvE for that matter, it just doesn't matter as much when the recipient isn't a sentient) players will always seek to "maximize" their builds to squeeze out every ounce of performance they can. This is 100% on ZOS, it is their responsibility to make their game function and when the inevitable bug comes around make a fix asap.
Issues like this is largely the reason I've opted to not pay for IC. They've had a year to get Cyrodiil working properly and it seems to just getting worse, I can't say I'm terribly confident in their ability to make IC work any better. Always happy to be proven wrong though.
players cant (or wouldnt rather) if ZOS actually did their job and fixed things asap+ban hammered large abusers.Lava_Croft wrote: »Players exploit, not ZOS nor ESO. It starts with the players and it ends with the players. While ZOS is to blame for the persistent bugs and non-existent enforcement of their own ToS in-game, they are in no way to blame for players exploiting.players cant (or wouldnt rather) if ZOS actually did their job and fixed things asap+ban hammered large abusers.Lava_Croft wrote: »Players exploit, not ZOS nor ESO.
