@BBSooner Do not miss interpret me, when I say "armors that look pretty bad-ass and not pretty sexy" I am pointing in the direction to be way revealing to the point of being to much. And I also stated that they have been doing a fine job so far with the armors that they have been creating.

Which is great, and for the most part (everything besides the Redguard and Orsimer changes) I agree. But you used an absolute, "I want A not B". So as long as we agree that A and B aren't mutually exclusive, and can coexist, I think we're asking for the same thing, with just opinion/taste separating the degrees of each.

I don't care if you want skimpy armor or wanna walk around buck naked for whatever reason, but the man has a point lol

Yes, when I go to the beach, I tend to solicit every lady that I find there because they are wearing that uniform.

I want the power to choose for myself, not let someone else choose for me. THAT is what I want ESO to represent.

In real life I look pretty hot in jeans and t-shirt... I WANT THAT CHOICE FOR MY CHARACTER!

And a Glock spitting out Crushing Shock.

    And a pink Horker mount!

And don't say it's lore-breaking. Don't thrust your sensibilities upon me!

    Or maybe...

We all have to fit in with how the game is - our choice is whether to play or not.

(But a Horker mount would be interesting)

I know, it's totally lorebreaking every single time I'm walking through Daggerfall and see lv3s w/out their armor equipped.

I stop and shout at them.

"HEY LOSERS, YOU'RE BREAKING LORE, YOU DON'T BELONG IN THIS GAME AND YOU DO NOT FIT INTO THE ESO ART STYLE"

A more revealing outfit is absolutely nothing like a pink horker or a glock in ESO.

Why do people keep spouting such ridiculous hyperbole? Do they think anyone takes that kinda stuff seriously?

It was sarcasm... not meant to be taken seriously! Sorry, I should have made that clearer for those hard of reading...

Intended to point out that "Don't thrust your sensibilities upon me!" obviously has limitations; that "I want the power to choose for myself" has to have some constraints.

Some people might find a horker mount or a glock just as amusing as bikini armour or male orcs in wedding dresses, other people might find all these notions horrifying. The point is it's not being a prude, or sexist (as some here have alleged) to not want bikini armour (or other "choices").

It's a matter of aesthetics and how people want the game to look, and the choice is whether to play the game or go play something else that does give you the choices you need.

See, when Chapelle delivers it, it's funny, because it's part of an act that it's meant to fit into, and everything is to be taken tongue in cheek.

When you stick it in a thread that has 7 pages of people calling eachother perverts, floozies, and all manner of other derogatory remarks about their preferences in a video game, it becomes, well...

    ...not quite so funny.

A trollface doesn't make it okay to basically call any woman who is wearing a bikini (which is swimwear) a ***.

But I doubt it'll be up there very long anyway, as your image is full of language that's clearly against the TOS for the forums.

@Rune_Relic Yes it matter, or what? You think all this arguments by people that do not desire see this game become a "theme park" (or whatever its called) is not what we want and it doesn't give any purpose of what this game is about, and it could keep being.

We want for once a true Mmo that give us good and interesting armors sets that look extremely incredible (that so far they have don an incredible job) and armor sets that look pretty bad ass, not pretty sexy.

I understand what you are saying and why.
You have a certain view of what the game should be.
What should be allowed and what should not.
    Thats fair enough.

The point I am making is on the ownership side.
Your ownership only extends to YOUR CLIENT.
What YOU see on your screen.

I have MY CLIENT and MY SCREEN which has probably got completely different addons and layouts to what you have.
ie I have ownership over what I see.

The argument we have here is whether YOU should have ANY say over what I see on my screen or just YOUR OWN SCREEN.
Should how you want to look to you have any baring at all on how I think you should look ?
You are paying for your CLIENT to entertain you as you see fit.
I am paying for my CLIENT to entertain me as I see fit.

Why should you have any right to dictate anything to me ?
(I hope you can see this from an argument/logic perspective and not a personal one.)

Perhaps I will download class pack 1 which converts all basic DK/NB/TP/SC to look one way.
Perhaps you will download class pack 2 which converts all basic DK/NB/TP/SC to look another way on your screen.

@Joy_Division haha that is your statement? that picture?!

Are you even serious? are you even know why they are living like that? So you are telling me that by showing me a picture with naked people in it, people that live in not enough well conditions, you will win the arguments? In which case, that picture show people living in an environment that is not very well, and perhaps they are living like that because they do not have clothes to wear or perhaps have the capacity to make their own clothes....

Go to that place and show them how to sew a wrap of clothing or give them armors, and lets see which one they will choose.

Well the first recorded "bikini" was in around 5,600 BC and this painting was done in Sicily around 300 AD: 220px-Mosa%C3%AFque_des_bikinis%2C_Piazza_Armerina.jpg

So those people saying that they were not around during the parallel time period of Elder Scrolls are incorrect. However they wouldn't be called "bikinis" because their modern name comes from the Bikini Atoll in the Marshall Islands which don't exist in Tamriel. Perhaps call it an Illiac Bay?

Posters have been using both costume and armour to refer to the idea. IMO armour is a no. If you are wearing three triangular pieces of cloth tied on with string then you've got no armour and should be treated as such by the rules. Others have said you can have magic bras because you can have magic rings; however the armour the rings provide is limited compared to a full set of heavy armour and as you can have only two rings and one amulet, perhaps the amount of magic armour you can have is finite. Lastly this can already be achieved by taking off all your equipment, so doesn't need adding in.

Costume then? It makes no difference to anybody except for aesthetics. Do you want to be looking at PCs in their swimwear all day? It would annoy me if everyone did it. But one or two I could rationalise as "barbarians" or "prostitutes".

I would be concerned that their inclusion would lead to people pre-judging ESO, I see adverts for "adult" MMOs with skimpy/bikini armours that are obviously targeted at teens and it switches me off from it because the hook isn't gameplay related etc its a terrible gimmick. I wouldn't want ESO to be pre-judged in the same terms for including overly sexualised clothes.

    TLDR: No.

I find this excuse to be a complete cop-out and extremely insulting to the game's artists to think that they could not possibly come up w/ revealing clothing styles that fit into the game's art style.

As an artist myself, I'm 100% positive that if a client asked me to create a certain type of outfit, but to do it w/in the confines of ANY established fantasy setting, I would have at least 6 examples ready by the end of the day.

    And that's being lazy.
