When I first heard of these assistants, I thought "Great! Finally something I actually want from the crown store that makes the crowns from my subscription worthwhile!"
Then I found out you want 5000 crowns for EACH of them.

At half the price it would still be an insult to your customers.

Not that khajiit usually subscribes to the theories of conspiracy and the like.

Release outrageous pricing details, cause storm of protest, claim that you are listening to the feedback, reduce price, more people buy because they are grateful they will no longer have to sell a kidney to buy enough crowns.

Well their statistics will show them the result. If enough people buy them, then they wont have to care. I dont care to be honest, Im not interested in the assistance NPCs.

No, you can not use them in cyrodiil and you can literally port anywhere. The only thing they may help with is trials for hardcore PVE groups, or grinding people. But that is about it not worth $50. I'd rather buy a new MMO.

I agree. 500 crowns perhaps for once off use, 5000 crowns for 10, like mount skill upgrades. Lower price, better chance of selling more. Although both should be accessible in pve & pvp.

Seeing how the assistants are functional I was putting it up there with the high end mount price of 2500 crowns. Adding to that the ability to be used by group members I was assuming 3000 to 4000 crowns. Obviously hoping for the lowest price but realistically thinking 3500 with a package deal of 6000 for both. That being said, I will probably still buy the banker or wait for a sale on crowns or assistants.

Love the idea of the Vampire Thrall assistant.

The point is If this cost 5k crowns, I don't want to imagine how many crowns it'll cost a re-customization of characters or a race change. Because well... Anybody thought that "barber-shop" will be a free in-game feature? Anybody???

Hm... this could be it. Its a ploy to get the NPCs to sell for 2-2.5k crowns each while at the same time being praised for listening to customers and being reasonable with pricing...

There is a nice psychological trick. It works like that:

Imagine you want to get one chips from your friend. You need to ask him for something big, in example selling his soul to the Tanathos. He's going to refuse that. Then you ask him if he'll give you his whole bag of chips. Of course his bag of chips, car, wife and a dog is nothing compared to selling his soul to the Tanathos, so he'll give you everything.

When they're selling stuff for 400 Crowns and then introduce a merchant for 2500, the price is SOOO BIIG, but when they try to sell it for 10000 Crowns, and then humbly reduce price to 8000, they're so generous, listening to community, awesome and everyone's gonna buy that stuff...

So my point is - If they set a price from space and no one's going to complain about it - they got a big profit. And when they're going to complain anyway? Well, Zenimax will reduce the price a little bit, and everyone will be soooo happy, because now they can buy their beloved banker for 4k Crowns! and only 4k Crowns! Isn't that wonderful?!

Lol if you think thats what Zos is doing your delusional. They want you to spend 5k crowns on this, they do not want to reduce the price and if they do so it will be because of overwhelming negative response from the community.

Before the weekend I had 12k crowns now down to 10k ( I am saving it for actual stuff I want )
I don't buy cause it's on sale I buy because I want something...

Would it be nice to have one I can deposit Telvar stones with instead of letting a mob grab 10% everytime? Yes...

Conclusion: not interested

Heck why would I want a dunmer following me around anyway? At least have a different race one for each alliance...

Khajiit banker for AD & either Breton or Redguard for DC would have been more believable...

I don't for one second think that Dunmer scum will not rip me off and never let me see my precious banked goods again!

I think the price too high, but I planned on buying both at any price. What really makes me mad is they wait until after the sale on crowns to tell us the price?!?! I honestly thought my 9k crowns would be more than enough to cover them and I wouldn't have to purchase additional crowns. Now I have to buy another 1.5k crowns at full price. If I would have known they were going to be so expensive I would have picked up the extra crowns while they were on sale!! Very calculating ZO$. Brilliant.

We don't need this let the assistants simply rot in the crown store ZOS will have to lower the price as long as they don't sell. Anyway I have no problem fast traveling to any city. Cities have everything: banks, stores, guild stores and crafting stations. These assistants apparently only do, what? One thing each? for how many crowns each?

Like I said somewhere in a thread I can't even remember what was called. This game has a good fast traveling system with a cheap gold cost and the wayshrines are well situated each, meaning no matter where you are (unless in a dungeon) there's always a wayshrine near you so you don't even have you pay for fast travel.

Having said that, these assistants aren't even worth 500 crowns. All we have to do to punch those marketing suits of ZOS in the face is not buy them. They believe this will be a big sale hit once it releases. Well, my fellow vestiges let's prove them wrong. We have lived perfectly without these assistants, we don't need them.

If at least 80% of the total player base doesn't buy these, ZOS will have to rethink the price. It may take months yes, but we've been without them for the games total life so far. All we must do is ignore this release and treat it for what it is, a huge bunch of nothing and wait for ZOS to give it a more humane price.

I really hope not, because that type of practice can have adverse results to the company over something as simple as a pet/assistant.

Usually when sane people find that they are involuntarily used as a test it goes bad. It would be best if ZOS just changes the price and adjusts not just the assistants but all pet and consumables as well as mounts current and future to align logically based on actual cash value (not the discounted acv of crowns).

Other than dlc which can be 2500-4000 crowns based on typical DLC costs of other games, the other items need to stay under 1000 - 15000 crowns as that price is approx $10-$15 US dollars
