bank reset to level 1 (*update - resolved April 18/19)

- March 30 began playing and received emails with attachment for pre-order bonus + digital imperial edition bonus
- April 5 8:45pm MST logged in to discover bank stash reset back to level 1 (didn't lose items as luckily had less than 60 in bank at the time) right after receiving duplicate emails for pre-order bonus + digital imperial edition bonus
- ticket submitted and waiting for response
- now have x2 bonuses but out all gold required to level stash (had it at 90 prior to bug)

*update April 9
- received response from ESO indicating recent patch addressed this issue and ticket now closed (note nothing about this bug was listed in the recent patch notes)
- replied back asking ticket be opened until following 2 questions answered:
1 - can bank be put back to original, upgraded amount (or equivalent gold added so the player can upgrade it themselves)
2 - confirmation that issue root cause identified and resolved so that players do not need to be afraid of upgrading bank at the risk of issue happening again

*update April 10
- received 2nd response from ESO acknowledging problem and requesting specific details of exactly when bank reset happened
- replied with details even though was already provided in original ticket

*update April 19
- after April 18 patch was informed that issue should not happen again; then was given equivalent gold to upgrade bank back to original amount + extra "in case items still missing that couldn't be recovered"
- a big thanks to ESO for resolution!

Same thing happened to me last night. I lost 8k banked gold, some items and 2 bank upgrades (i had 80 slots before this happened).

I got response from customer support, apparently i can keep double bonus items and they are looking into bank reset (no ETA on fix).

Same here. Finally heard that my missing items were being looked into. Nothing about duplicate pre-order/CE items, and nothing about the missing bank slots.

I guess the items can stay in my mail until the bank slots are fixed...

Just had the same exact thing happen to me about 15 minutes ago; bank reset to 60 slots (had 90 before, so a number of items are now missing), and received the starting mails again.

My bank was also reset - although I didn't get duplicate items (that I noticed) until afterwards. I got a generic cut-&-paste response to my ticket. No idea how many or what items might be missing, since I don't keep a detailed spreadsheet of my bank.
- So... some random amount of possibly missing items
- Definitely missing 20 bank slots/the gold used for said slots
- Still not seeing any actual info on what is wrong/when it will be fixed
- Really sucking the fun out of playing - to the point I've spent most of today playing something else

If it helps the devs fix the issue, I've also noticed that since this happened, that the coldhabour tutorial quest progress also reset; in that I lost the ability to create a new character that can skip the tutorial, and had to unlock it again.

This happened exactly to me a few hours ago! I got the in-game mail rewarding me AGAIN for my IE purchase, and the resetting my bank to 60 slots. I have been spending all my gold buying slots and now I am back where I started!

This exact thing just happened to me minutes ago. I now have double the bonus stuff, but half of my banked items are missing (worst part is it's all my rare crafting stuff that's missing!), and my bank has reset from 90 spaces to 60.

No response yet from CS yet.

EDIT: it looks like I actually didn't lose any items. They were somehow moved to my characters inventory instead. Still missing the 11k spent on bank upgrades, and only have a handful of free spots between my bank and inventory, essentially making questing impossible.

Upgraded to imperial edition, logged in for the first time and it was ok.
Logged onto alt and that got duplicate mail items, bank slots bag down to just 60, and also lost roughly 1500 of gold which was in the bank too.

There must be a real bug with the pre order items. Some people don't get them at all, while others get them twice.

This thing happened to me today about 3 hours ago after a small patch or something. Slots back to 60 and all bankmoney gone thats not a safe bank.

Yes, here as well... Lost several blue items and set items... And two upgrades... And the best part: It's already the second time it happened to me. The first time I ALSO lost several items and two upgrades...

I'm seriously POed right now...

Edit: And I too got the third email with the monkey and couldn't skip the tutorial with a new character.

That seems to be a slightly different problem. ITT not all items in the bank just vanished but instead the bank upgrades and stored gold vanished, recently stored items got dumped in the character inventory and the overflow over the slot limit there vanished.

Edit: Also I don't remember a "Failed to transfer"-error which seems to be common ground in that other thread.

Not necessarily. I didn't get the failed transfer error, but I lost my gold, my slots, as well as my items -- they did not reappear in my packs. So the bank bug seems to range across quite a spectrum here.

Same thing happened to me. All I got was some standard reply email. I went to make a mule alt to hold some of my stuff but when I realized I couldn't skip the tutorial I gave up.

This is VERY frustrating.

Happened to me while I was trying to empty my provision crafting materials.

Nice work. My game progress can now stop... all inventory full nothing to do. Lost 5k Gold and some Items probably as well. Can't tell what for now. GREAET. I whish I never bught this game. My first MMO and will be my last probably as well. Nice job.

I thought I was safe because I could see my items in the bank, but after reading this topic I can confirm that I've lost about 3000 gold I'd deposited in the bank. I don't know about lost items, I may have lost some of the pets but I'll have to check more carefully tomorrow because I've scattered them among 3 characters and right now I've had it with ESO
