It's not like the devs ever gave these forums a chance. And I think your assumption of Reddit as being filled with thoughtful and respectful replies quite humurous.
Being kept in the dark kind of makes people a bit agitated.

The sad reality is that Reddit is a more thoughtful and respectful environment than this forum. Think about that for a moment. This community is outclassed by Reddit. That should make you agitated.

I don't think you deserve special treatment because you picked this forum over another. Reddit is popular and has a big audience, it's smart for them to make use of it. Plus, the info there from players is often better than what we see here, and too many treat the off. forums as just a complaint department/suggestion box. I see much more widespread discussion over there, not much, but a little. If you only picked this forum b/c you thought it would make you special, then you probably made a bad choice.
Would you get downvoted to oblivion? If you came in there like a jerk you might, but not if you were constructive.
And most of the complaints about reddit have been pretty ignorant. Days ago someone cried b/c someone posted the release date for the dungeon today on reddit as a response, even though I knew about the release date from a couple weeks ago from the official website. Same with this, reddit pretty much linked to the official forums for the patch notes, they copy/pasted the info and ZoS pointed out that they were editing that info and they should check back - god forbid we let 40K plus people that might see that know the patch info is getting updated. Do they answer stuff independently there? Sure, again, smart to not limit yourself to one audience. They've also showed up on other gaming forums and in podcasts and streams as well.
Thanks for the link.Provided is a link to todays patch notes posted on reddit. If you scan through the responses you will see questions and issues being responded to by @ZOS_GinaBruno. ZOS on Reddit

We do consider the official ESO forums our priority and primary site for communication, but that doesn't mean we won't answer a question on Reddit, MMORPG.com, TESO Elite, or any other fansite we have a presence on just because it isn't our official forums. You'll notice we always post big updates here, such as the Templar and Stamina skills updates we shared last week. If you compare our posts here via the dev tracker, you'll find we post significantly more on the official forums than anywhere else combined; suggesting otherwise is simply not true.
The reality is, there may be times we post an answer to something elsewhere before we do here. It isn't us showing preferential treatment; rather, that is simply where we happened upon the question first.
Thank you for the honest reply and information. Perception is the same questions asked here are answered elsewhere because the presence on those sites is more noticeable with the individual responses from ZOS staff.
