    Dueling is fun for people who like competitive PVP. I don't see anything stupid about it.

    About concerns about griefers... Well, even on very old MMOs there's an auto decline option for duels. We haven't seen ESO's implementation yet but I can be sure it will have it or many people will ask for it during PTS.

    The highest gear level will remain CP 160 in the next update, and in the forseeable future.

    The maximum number of spendable CPs will get increased to 561 (from the current 531 max), which is only a 30 CP increase.

    Dueling is fun for people who like competitive PVP. I don't see anything stupid about it.

    About concerns about griefers... Well, even on very old MMOs there's an auto decline option for duels. We haven't seen ESO's implementation yet but I can be sure it will have it or many people will ask for it during PTS.

    For me the concern is not about the auto-decline, but rather that together with One Tamriel the cities will be an unimmersive mess of dueling combat, Blade of Woe corpses, and starting area Mournhold-like frame rate slideshows.

    For those of us who don't need to witness every duel? Where is our good experience?

    To me this is a very lazy implementation; it would have been just fine to have new arenas where folks could go to duel; not just open featureless pits, but bars, underground outlaw refuges, even roped off areas to tighten up the action; a little imagination would go a long way here. Everyone wins, except that it's more programming work.

    Why do we all have to be smushed together for EVERY aspect of the game, ALL the time now?

    well yeah, I agree with you. but PVP arenas are in production, ZOS said.

    And also, do we have any more info how the dueling will be organized? If it will be possible only in the open world (not in the cities), or will it be possible to do anywhere?

    I suppose it will be only in open world.

    well no offence pls, but I bet there are many people who will like it, not just some trolls and griefers...

    but if you do not like it, just use the auto-decline option. the same as some people play only PVE and do not like PVP - they play only PVE and do not play PVP. solved ;)

    Gina confirmed it somewhere, there will be no AP gain trough dueling, because of this misusability ("let me kill you buddy, I get the APs")

    It's not the 17th helm, they are making 17 more helmets to be added to the normal dungeons that are getting their veteran versions this patch

    Yes, but there are currently only 16 normal dungeons.
    5 in each alliance plus one in Coldharbor.
    They keep saying 17 which leads us to believe one of the current normal dungeons without a veteran version might get a sequel.

    sadly no sequels coming...just a "flick switch" to make normal into vet by giving bosses x10 health and x10 damage...lazy, lazy, lazy...no real development involved at all

    Actually if they are scaling them, adding monster helms, new gear, separating the dungeons into stories and revamping the undaunted pledges. Then I would not call it no real development. Making a whole bunch of sequels would just be huge undertaking and they pretty much have a lot on their plate with this update. You may call it lazy but I call it smart. It makes sense to split the dungeons into stories.
    The whole idea of old dungeons being split with dificulty and stories together made normal and vet have double meanings when they are just supose to be dificulty. Now that old dungeons have stronger versions of them maybe we actually can see some of the mechanincs that was lost because it was too easy to beat the bosses on normal. Plus it still means we can get stories in the future.

    just to be clear...there will *not* be any new stories to the existing dungeons in future...just stay as is option (normal) and do in harder mode option (vet, or whatever we are calling vet nowadays)

    Just to be clear..... where did you get this info? I am watching the ESO Tavern 2016 from Cologne, and the term "New Story Line" has been mentioned several times. And they have done it, expanding dungeon stories, before. Take Fungal. Do it on normal. Actually pay attention to story. Go back and play on vet, it is a new story that ties into and expands the norm version. So yes, I think they will add new story lines and sequels to dungeons.
    Yes, it is 17 new monster sets.
    This also will change pledge dungeons also, as no more gold silver or bronze keys. Just a key, and you will be able to get 6 keys per day if you have all the DLC's.

    Sigh, another cap increase. Im a returning player, and ive spent a lot of time online in the past two months and just finally got to 258. I am already out of original content to do starting to do repeatable every day. This game is going to get boring quick

    Have you done all vet trials on hard mode? Or even the two new dungeons? If not then get working at it.

    If that content and pvp does not interest you, then why do you need more cp?

    The best justification for Dueling is that the game has a PvP system and you need to be able to test PvP builds in a safe and easy to set up environment. That's enough of a reward for me.

    Just to be clear, you won't be able to gain AP for dueling, because of the previously-mentioned exploit material that would introduce. ;)

    LOL ... what do you think happens in CYRO right now? People are wrecking keeps to switch toons and repair. They're walking scrolls to the other faction then swamping toons to turn in the quests. They're painting the map during low pop times to pad their stats to crown Emps. It's a joke.

    I don't think you should award AP for dueling but I do think it should progress the Alliance skill line OR there should be a PVE Cyrodiil as an alternative way for PVERs to progress the Alliance skill line. PVP is not welcoming. It's somewhat complicated and confusing and takes a great deal of investment to feel like you actually belong, which is one of the reason why the PVP population has shrunk so much.

    There needs to be an alternative way to gain Undaunted as well. Wish that were Craglorn. You can complete every dungeon in the game including trials and not max out Undaunted. Waiting out pledges and chasing achievements is stupid and limiting and needs to be reviewed. There's really only 1 thing most people want in the skill line, which is the passive.

    The trade window could be adapted by ZOS for this - once both parties have put up and accepted the "trade," the duel begins. Dying drops the dead player from the trade but not the traded stuff. The winner can claim it all.

    Eh, probably can be abused somehow.

    I mean the same commerce formula WoW implemented after LK. Give some XP bonus incentives here and there, thin out the gettin' while it's good. Then when the cap is finally reached and is just to unattainable by new-comers or returning players...boom 80$ and you can be CP capped in one button click. Considering the market today versus the old MMO days, this will probably happen sooner than later. Cool thing is if you want to run twinks around, you'll be able to do that fairly easily. No questing required, straight to end-game content. Hopefully, they have more content...
