Bank has been entirely wiped.. all my 80 items gone

So I love this game and have been farming 1000's and 1000's of mats, I logged over and made an alt toon. when i logged back onto my main toon, and checked my bank all 80 slots of gear was gone... i'm heart broken... I lost all my maps and all my crafting materials that i had just played the last 48 hours saving... heart broken... please someone help me.

    Jessica, I was the person who ended up on his account when this happened.

    When I logged out and back in, I was on my account again, but I had his characters inventory. His bank disappeared too he's said (we've been in contact ingame), but I did not end up with anything from his bank.

    This all happened shortly after the in-game message went out about disabling in-game mail.

    Please let me know if there is anything I can provide to help him get his things restored!

    Same here and now I now receive a login error that says my information is incorrect . I assume something has gone wrong server-side, but it's not a big deal right now and I'm sure they are working on a remedy.

    Same issue. Luckily nothing hugely valuable was in there at the time, but I had stockpiled a nice supply of crafting materials to give to my trader character at a later time.

    Lost all my stuff, too. Sounds like I didn't have quite as much as some of you guys, but it was nearly everything of value I had-- I was right in the middle of transferring stuff to a second character. All gone.

    If You have to do a full-stop relaunch, that would be acceptable. it's still before the official launch date, and you give the earlybirds some sort of in-game token of appreciation. We're an understanding lot, and If this is going on, then I'd rather see the problem solved PROPERLY and losing 2 days play time, than think that there was any chance of anything important being compromised.

    Naturally they would have to give some sort of compensation (refund part of the purchase price, or something)

    Can't log in now while at work but am curious what I'll find/not find in my bank later today. All were mats, while it wouldn't be the end of the world about the mats it would still make me cringe somewhat, was inspired to keep everything from the preorder still in my mails with only the maps and the monkey in my characters inventory.

    Have to admit, the road ahead seems bumpy for ESO, can't imagine what all these problems will do for the publicity of the game, which is sad, the games core concepts and design are largely wonderful.

    Loseing all the items from my bank last night put me in a full on panic attack. I had been playing for just about 3 days solid and to loose all those items I had been saving for research felt like 3 days lost.

    During the time they were disabling mail, I was purchasing some expensive items from the Guild store and ended up receiving empty mail that stated "your item is attached", I have not even glanced at what might or might not be in my bank. They are having major issues all over the place- mail, crashes, bugs reported months ago, repeat major downtime......

    As I stated in another post, I was a beta tester for ESO and Wildstar and the latter was more polished through all beta testing and yet their game is not set to launch for another two months. I felt all along that ESO was not ready for launch April 4 and it appears I was correct and the early access players are just another beta group.

    A rocky launch- yes expected in many games but this feels a bit like climbing a mountain.

    ZOS needs to keep in mind we still have a day or so to cancel. If people who have asked for vacation time from work (like me), and spent 20-30 hours in the game so far. I will be so upset. They can't give people 5 day early access then take all their stuff away on day 3!

    Quite being a baby, they aren't taking your things away... Also you have another 32 days to cancel. Quit starting fires where there are none.

    Happened to me as well as of late last night. Was just playing went suddenly to a blue screen. Logged out and back in went to the bank and everything was gone I had in mats from playing earlier in the day. Really have been enjoying this game since me and my daughter play the game together.Really hope all the bugs get ironed out.

    Well I just read that this is the primary reason for the downtime. So it's getting fixed. I'm sure they will restore your stuff as well

    hmmm weird, I lost only coin I put in bank, no items wasn't much but as in most good games coin comes slow. I lost 700 gold, put another 1000 in last nite hope its not gone now, but its not going to ruin the game. Having a great time hope all are patient.

    I lost about 65 items. 9 rakuta and 2 kuta runes, 700 refined iron, tons of crafting supplies, gone. Contacted them last night when it happened about 8:30 PM pacific. Even a rollback would hurt but would lessen the impact across the board evenly.

    I have been beta testing since the original Baldurs Gate when they had to mail me the cd to try out. All mmo launches have bugs. This one isn't special but it's by no means a mountain. It's how they deal with situations like this one that determine how many people stay satisfied with their customer services. Some do realize pissing off the player base this early in a launch just creates a situation that ends in them looking for another job sooner. Have faith and if things don't work out I will see you at the next good mmo launch.

    ITS the damn shards they deploy.. star trek online same issue this game is having.. Defiance same issues this game is having... WHY THE LAYER the game with shards is beyond be.. Shards only work with free to play low population servers.. this game is million.. so under a shard organization you need multiple USA servers. that means you wouldn't be able to play with friends on different mage servers... They must of expected the population of this game to be under 100,000 USA... when its in the millions..

    Joy after reading this I'm fearful my imperial edition items that were all dumped into the bank may not be there when I can log back in :|
