I swear people that complain about RO'a damage have never used it in PvP.

I have a templar and have played it extensively in PvP.
I laugh every time I beam someone from across the battlefield.

If you stand behind other people spamming RO then no, you've never actually played a Templar in PvP and your opinons are worthless.

Because when you main a mag DK and find yourself on a class with a purge, a heal, both melee and ranged damage, and any execute let alone a powerful, undodgeable ranged one, it's basically a freakin' vacation. I laugh, too.

    Exactly.

I will also add that (relative to mDK) mTemp has a gap-closer.

You know what's great about mTemplar? Gear doesn't really matter that much. While the Blazing Spear change is annoying, the flexibility that a burst heal and ranged execute affords you is amazing. Sure, mDK still has better CC... but the mTemp toolkit is just great for PvP.

How about making Radiant Oppression do 21% (or even 50%) less damage at full range but then do full damage within 10 meters etc.

This is actually a really good idea that would promote tactics with Jesus Beam. In fact, it's probably the best idea out there.

    Shame Zenimax won't even try.

Hey, @ZOS_GinaBruno give this a try. It has @Joy_Division traction.

More calculations aren't "the best idea out there". Simplicity is required in lagodiil. Simply reduce range - that's ok.

Take out the additional damage based on remaining Magicka and make it inversely based on range instead. Bam, same amount of calculations.

Sure, but the point is to recognize the context in which all changes are made.

And within 10m it applies a permastun like Skinrai? That'd be pretty cool.

I'm a bit worried the execute nerf will knock magplar out of the PvE meta game. They were undeniably the strongest DPS class before, but this nerf might be a little harsh. A range nerf would have been more appropriate than a damage one in my opinion.

Also, stamplar is still the worst class in the game. I'm not sure why that hasn't been addressed yet.

Why da hell do you give mag classes one more skill that gives the same? Those magika steal? If its not stuck from different soursess its usseless! Healers dont stand klose to boss so for them elemental is better. Rework this skill for stamina steal! So you will give ussefull morf, this way 1 haeler could use new morf in a fight second one use reppetence! Eweryone hapy. We do need stamina sustein support in this game!
And how obout stamina DOT for stamplars? Somthing like DK hawe, somting new in class, rework some skill. Blinding jawelin make it hit with phisical damage and gives bleeding DOT.
And reworck cost of tempalr skills, atthe moment templar hawe The most expensive skills(i play all mag and stam clasess) and at vMA tempalr is most hard to sastain.

@Cinbri - Reflective Light is AoE skill. In theory, it should pull people out of cloak, although I dunno if I agree that it should work like how you have shown in your .gif - I think it's fine that it should hit stealth/cloaked targets if they are next to an already revealed target that you are hitting with it though.
Lightning Heavy attack does the same thing because of its AoE component from the passive.

It's not an AoE. It's not a single target Skill. I'd say it's a multi target skill. Funny though how the initial hit gets buffed by flame staff and the dot ticks by lightning staff. Even Zenimax isn't sure ^^

Many things are not considered true-AoE, and are like you describe - Multi-Target - yet proc sets that proc on AoE according to tooltip, like Healing Mage set. ;)
    Indeed, Zeni is unsure. :p

For you Stamplars; is it at least useable? I know its not great but I am considering going that route just for a change in play style of turtle up and heal then use spell power build up from heavy to lash out. Probably would be better off leveling up my stamblade, but I don't wanna.

my opinion ( i have a stamplar .. i played it since beta ..practically )

After the Change to heavy armor and proc build , the armor medium may be used only on NB .
Stamplar have good damage and resistant , but in heavy ( regardless of which build you can use) you don't have decent sustain or passive to recover stamina .
in the zerg you don't have any problem but in solo or duo/trio vs many enemy you will have many problems to sustain ...
an advice for Stamina chars , play a Sorc stam , Dk stam or Nb ...:)

Just wanted to thank everyone for all the really great feedback in this thread. We have a number of updates/changes coming for the next PTS build that we’d like to share:
    • Biting Jabs – Will now be undodgeable like the base ability.
    • Biting Jabs – Fixed an issue where the cost per level wasn’t set correctly. (overall cost reduction of approximately 20%)
    • Radial Sweep (and morphs) – Initial hit of damage is now undodgeable (it is an AOE after all)
    • Crescent Sweep – This morph now does physical damage instead of magicka
    • Piercing Javelin (and morphs) – Increased the speed of the projectile by 40%
    • Binding Javelin – Reduced the stamina cost by 20%. (to match other stam abilities)
    • Backlash (and morphs) – Reduced the amount of damage needed to reach the cap and increased the percentage of damage released. It should be much easier for a solo player who focuses damage on a target to use now.

These are some good changes, and do seem aligned with feedback. Still not backing down on removing the only viable cc though, you guys are sticking with the Blazing Spear nerf? It's a move that badly hurts Templar tanks, and compromises dealer's safety when they are taking heat from mobs. First Blinding Flashes now this, why should Templars lose cc for the sake of dev simplification?

Thanks for the feedback. This should please stamplars at least a little bit, but I would imagine they will still want a source of sustain.

Any chance magplars will get an AOE cc so we can protect our houses? The cc removal from blazing spear really hurts the stand your ground playstyle of magplars.

indeed, i wasn't expecting them to make it undoggeable, i was happy just with a cost reduction of abilities and some more utility. Sad part, my medium armor stamblade will suffer a lot since dodge roll is his only defense :(

These are nice changes for the Stamplar in PVP. But where are the tweaks for PvE? Where is a stamina dot for burning light or vma weapons? Why would anyone want to use Crescent sweep over Rend. I think there needs to be more play around burning light and vma weapons cause lets face it. vMA weapons are 2k WD. even after the nerf there is a gap for damage. Kind of like having soul harvest back bar for a nb. There is a reason to use it. its unique to the class. I would even go so far as to say. Up the cost and make it an AOE dot so you can play around with burning light. Just my thoughts. I see Stamplar still the lowest even with these Fixes. But they are nice quality of life for PvP

The change in Backlash reduces the maximum amount? This is supposed to be easier for a solo player? Maybe I am misunderstanding?
