Problems joining group if name or race changed

I have this problem too. You can hear the join group sound, once you do, just relog and you should see you are in a group when you get back in. Hopefully they will fix this issue soon cause I seriously did not pay 2.5k crowns to have group struggles -.........-

Had the same issue today... group is formed... I'm in it but cant'see or do anything...
only fix relog..

I'm a raid leader this is a big issue for me!

Had this problem last night with a trial group on ps4 na. Definitely not an update 11 thing.

All of my characters' names have no special characters in them, ASCII all the way. For reference the character I had trouble on last night is "Slide" which is about as simple as it gets.

Neither my wife nor I did any name or race or appearance change - but we had all kinds of trouble trying to group, join groups, add to the group, etc. last night (8/2).

Yeah, it's sounding that way. We do have an outstanding bug that sounds very similar to this, and isn't tied to Race Change. Will follow up tomorrow on the status and when it may be fixed.

Last night on Xbox our group had no crown, then random crown, no crown, random etc, don't know if it's related or not. There is also one member in our guild who we cannot give crown to whenever or however we try.

Xbox one NA server.

I didn't change a race or name, but it's been impossible to find any group. I selected 3 veteran and normal groups and more than 15mins passed, nothing. I repeated this at least 3 times, without luck.

having similar problem can't form a group, when invited get message that it failed, one time when I did manage to accept showed my health at 1. Did not change name or change appearance, have had same since beta.

have it narrowed down, it appears it worked before we went to new dungeon, appears something that new dungeon added caused the problem. Tried on toons that did not go to new dungeon and no problem, so it appears may be related to entering new dungeon.

some additional feedback, the same two toons that my friend and I took into the dungeon, were having this problem with other toons, however, these same two toons can group, just not with anyone else. We are now going to try going into new dungeon with all of our toons. Hopefully it will clear problem at least with our two accounts grouping together. Will post after we try this.

I have this issue without changing race or name. perhaps the game knows I'm thinking about it... the grouping tool is another sort of broke guys... many people report having issues grouping up. Loosing crown, not seeing the group but beïng in it... etc.

Also had similar issues. I joined a group perfectly fine. I just wanted to kill some spectre thing but it didn't work out and decided to look around to ask someone if he/she could help. We ended up making a group but nothing I typed showed up although I could see the group in the upper left corner of the screen.

After we defeated it I couldn't leave the group. Tried /reloadui and all that stuff. After to many tries it suddenly just disappeared. I was a little confused because I heard this issue was fixed with the maintance right after the patch. I didn't play during the interval with maintance and patch. I never did any race/name/sex/beard/mustache/toe/voice or toothbrush change.

Quite odd.

EDIT: Personally I don't think it has anything to do with special characters in names but as far as I could see he/she did have a "í" in his or her name. I don't have anything weird. No alt codes or é á.

I also have a whitespace but it would be really derpy if that was the issue :P. It could very well be though because I think a lot of people have whitespaces. Like name and family name for example. I have that in-game.

Ok, looks like this should be addressed in Monday's incremental patch. Let us know one way or the other if you're still having an issue after that patch is published.

I've changed my race, but have been able to invite into groups without issue. Then suddenly during game play I was unable to. I don't think it is entirely to do with just race and name changes. Other players seem to reporting similar issues as well.
