I keep hearing about ESO live, and it sounds quite informative whatever it is. How do we tune in? Is it like a podcast or something?

Many thanks. I had to chuckle when I read this
Any update on when servers are coming back?
We are currently investigating issues some players are having regarding logging into the megaservers. We will update as new information becomes available.

Of course the asteroid exploding over New Zealand may have compromised the Ionosphere and the solar radiation pouring in from the south hemisphere might be a problem, but we think you'll be able to feed your horse and do your daily writ w/o any further delay once network is reestablished.
People in south latitudes might want to add a 0 or 00 to tomorrows high temp forecast.
Have a nice day;)
By the way, does anyone have any fun war stories of things that caused server outages? I'll start:
Our head office has one floor that's got the main servers. The actual floor is panels that you can lift up for easy access because there's all sorts of cables and such down there. Naturally, the entire floor is heavily climate controlled.
One day there was a problem with one of the air conditioners, and a maintenance guy came in to fix it. This is key: he wasn't a regular maintenance guy for this floor, and in fact while he was authorized to do maintenance on other floors, he was not authorized to do any maintenance on the server floor. Someone F'd up and let him in (you need a pass to get into the floor, and his pass didn't allow access to that floor) because the regular maintenance guy wasn't available.
Maintenance guy starts repairing whatever was wrong with the air conditioner, and gets it working again. In the process, though, he spills a bunch of oil on the floor. Maintenance guy thinks "hmm, I should soak up this oil" so he pours kitty litter all over it.
Kitty litter & oil combo gets between the removable floor panels, coats it all, makes it overheat and shorts out a ton of stuff down there. Our main servers were down for almost 2 days.
Because of freaking kitty litter.
Fun times!

Level3 is a major tier 1 network service provider, and a major part of the internet backbone in the US and EU as well. The ESO servers are hosted in a data center run by level3 which is why the problems level3 are having are effecting ESO.
That sounds like too much of a war story. Yikes!By the way, does anyone have any fun war stories of things that caused server outages? I'll start:

I worked in an office that was taken out by a carbomb, does that count?

This is a live outage map for United States, since apparently this is because of the outages in Texas.

What outages in Texas? I live in Dallas and no one near me has texted/FB messaged me about outages.
